Yea it doesn't matter if you have an excellent passer like chris paul he still throws the ball very low on aley oops.

Is this the thread where we are positive and never say anything negative about the game? Because if not, then it should be locked

I am confused, may we give honest game impressions... or is this just to point out what we like?

My biggest positive is, running plays are rewarding (though there is a learning curve and one must practice). I find it rewarding to score off plays and not just beating people one v one.

It's an impressions thread... so positive or negative (constructive) feedback is allowed.

But running offense is key, matchups, defensive match-ups etc. The game is just so deep and the AI is second to none quite frankly. Pro.Sim is no joke. This year feels like a brand new game. I was not going to get it.....but some trusted OS'ers here swore by it and said it was far different than 2K15 which let's face it.....that last patch changed things and not for the better with gameplay. It was swish city.

Not on 2K16. You must earn your looks and space every trip down the floor.

The presentation is just off the hook this year. I am blown away on how immersive they have made every game with player interviews, the TNT team....it's really amazing. I am really diving into the practice court as well as playing plenty of play now games with different teams.....and of course getting familiar with my Heat playbook and gearing up for a glorious MyLeague with my retooled Miami Heat.

This game is about as close to sports game perfection as I have seen

9.5/10

This has legendary gold standard potential.
As someone who uses your The Show sliders and basically agrees with your every post about that game this shocked me.... Not saying you are wrong, just surprised you find 2K16 to be so good on a sim level. The game is good but does not remind me of actual basketball. It is a strategy game for sure and I too love how you must use spacing to score. But the pace of the game is just not sim to me. Nor is how players cut and maintain speed.

Maybe I need sliders... What sliders are you using?

Thanks BluFu

I have no intention to bash the great game just to be clear.

My two issues.. are hard core sim things..

1) The pace it just feels too fast. Maybe sliders can fix this for me. I do not feel when players cut and change direction the acceleration is correct.

2) It drives me nuts that subbed out players do not put on warm ups or shooting shirts or anything.

A third was already mentioned and that is camera angles that are not possible while playing in broadcast view.

My two faves are

1) the presentation is pretty cool

2) I like that it seems the right guys for the CPU are the ones doing the scoring. I also like how they create scoring chances against me.

I havenot done the new improved mode where you play from HS to Uni to NBA yet. But my little brother is loving it. I usually only play Dynasty type modes but may try it. The game is his, so I get only limited play time.

Does anyone know if 2k is going to send out an update or patch for players with created faces instead of real faces like Norman Powell or Branden dawson

This is where I accept the fact...in the end, it is a video game. I don't think I have ever played a basketball game where this was not case....same with football. Baseball is close to simulation with The Show. NHL IMO has really come a long way with with skating physics. But Basketball and Football still have always had that it's still a video game feel when it comes to their physics, speed etc.

I look past that and enjoy the games for the AI, the strategy, and playing them as sim as I can.

I'm seeing way too many points in the paint, both from the User and the CPU. On the User side, the help defense just isn't strong enough, resulting in too many dunks and layups. As for the CPU, they keep trying to pass into the paint or drive, even when the pass isn't there or there's a defender in the way. It's a little annoying to see 50+ points in the paint being scored every game.

Gotta disagree with you here. 2K16 looks much more like a real basketball game than The Show does a real baseball game. This was not true years ago, but The Show has been stagnant moving into next gen.

Great point! I need to remeber to just have fun and enjoy what I like about games. Sometimes I cankinda pick them to pieces if not careful.

Also in all fairness to NBA 2K if the gave the players more weight and made the movement physics more realistic then most gamers would complain. Anytime a sports player has weighted movement the majority of gamers talk about it feeling like running in mud... 2K does a good balance of finding a middle ground where everyone can be happy.

Also, know I was not saying you were wrong praising the game. It is way impressive. The commentary makes me wonder why other sports games are so far behind in this area.

I wonder why guys aren't seeing cpu threes. Warriors and Clippers took over 20 against me. Houston shot over 15.

I agree there are too many Pips. There's good rotation in the perimeter but it seems to be slow when a guy reaches the paint. You don't see help defenders step in to take a charge, or help with hands up. Far too much one on one play in the paint.

And when you front a guy, no one rotates when the lob comes up top. Just daylight for the offensive player.

It gets abused by both sides of the ball, cpu or user.

There are good misses when contended. Love that. But not enough challenges when a simple rotation would resolve that.

It also seems that the corner three is dead again. It came back in 2k15 but passing to the corner on the drive is nonexistent. Disappointing.

Its odd. I was playing the Knicks, and Melo was launching three's left and right, plus they were running offball screens for Afflalo to catch and shoot threes on the wing/corner. All star sim.
Haven't seen drive and kicks to the corner though.

Can't really complain much. Everything else is so polished besides a few things that seems like it could be fixed in a title update, or even roster update if its tendencies. I'm really waiting to start a serious myLeague until Beds releases a roster or two. Plus, Czar's ACE updates. whenever they are ready.

Is there a way to contact them to let them know or put in a request

I think the lack of help D and lack of corner 3s are very closely connected.

Points in the paint were always one of my biggest issues with 2k. But this year things are looking good. Most of my games both me and cpu score less than half of the total points, in the paint. And I had a game where cpu scored only 20 points in the paint out of 100 plus!. Same game cpu attempted 27 3p.

Easily the 3rd best game and the best sports game I've ever played. I gave it an 8.5 out 10

If they were able to clean up the wide open big men in the paint, teammates getting destroyed on backdoor cuts, fast break defense and help defense timing this game would be perfection in terms of gameplay.

# 780 Jinks @ 10/03/15 11:00 AM
However, I really dislike how I cannot warmup/look at heat maps. Scoring is noticeably harder than last year and the only place I can discern to practice is the blacktop. Which is way easier than in-game anyway.

So that's a feature that's really annoying to find absent.
