You can definitely tell the difference between a good QB and a mediocre one. Lost Carr to an injury early in my game today at Denver and Ponder was terrible. Throwing balls high, short and off-target. It was frustrating, but more so that Ponder is bad and not that I was missing passes.

In the past, you couldn't tell the difference between QB's. Now, you can. A nice extra layer of strategy and roster management when injuries occur.

Happened 4 times in a row too. Then I had 7 defensive holding penalties.

I was loving it and hating it at the same time. I kept thinking to myself my goodness Cardinals you guys really lack discipline. Add to that, none of my DBs could hang with Amari Cooper, he was killing me, along with their other WR. Patrick Peterson was getting torched every passing play. Add to that, the Raiders new running back DeMarco Murray was running wild.

It was the worst butt kicking I ever took by the CPU in Madden. Ratings really matter and when your team don't match up well, lord have mercy. Might as well hold on for dear life because you about to be taken for a ride. Woodson had Fitzgerald on lockdown, he couldn't catch anything. And Floyd kept dropping passes. I couldn't run because Mack and the other Raiders LB shut that down.

Truly all around humbling experience.
Khalil Mack is an absolute beast in this game.

The more I play it the more I like it. I feel like they made the game with the offline guys like myself in mind this year. As soon as CFM gets patched this game will be even better.

Just went to load my Franchise and can't load it. If I go to files it's there but can only delete it.

In Madden NFL 15, the CPU could get away with Cover 0 blitzes because the receivers couldn't adequately fight for jump balls on the outside.

No longer.

Also this is probably the most in-rhythm throw I have ever made in Madden history, haha.

I actually love it more that I can't get away with as many cover zero blitzes. I'm using much more of the defensive tools in the game than I ever have in the past. It's great.

Cardinals must truly suck in this game. Andrew Luck just 16 for 17 303 yards and 3 TDs plus a rushing TD. Couldn't really stop him at all. Gonna have to play him again with the Seahawks just so I dont go running around mumbling about robo QB to myself.

This game is really good. It really shines as it pertains to teams strengths and weaknesses. And my goodness, star players really stand out. I love the fact that throwing against the Browns secondary is hard (stay away from Joe Haden). Playing as the Ravens I'm beasting with T. Sizzle and Dumervil. Hard to muster a pass rush with lesser players.

Some examples from some of my games: Playing as the 49ers, I was get slaughtered by the cpu's passing game vs. the Titans. I'm muttering under my breath "Mariota ain't THAT good." I later looked through the position ratings and saw that the 49ers corners are ranked last, yep 32nd in the league. Replayed the game. Went bend but don't break. Played mostly zone and kept everything in front of me and wouldn't you know it I kept them in check. Gave up yards but no big plays and forced enough field goals to win.

So, some of the issues in past Maddens appear to be there but aren't if you play to teams strengths or in the case weakness. Robo QB, terrible coverage does exist if your team can't cover and you're trying to run a lot of man. It doesn't exist if you play according to your personnel.

Cpu running game seems under powered... Sankey averaged 1.2 yards per rush. I'm thinking I need to boost cpu run block or lower my tackling below 45 where I have it. Next game Murray from the Raiders runs for 163 yards at 7 yards a clip.

Human run game seems under powered... Averaging about 3.0 yards a carry with Forsett. Broke loose for 180 yards the next game.

The game forces you to vary your strategy and play smart.

The only thing that may be an issue once CFM is working is I don't see how I will possibly throw under 20 interceptions. Even when I'm being extremely cautious, I will get the pass break up where the ball flies in the air and gets picked or the random wild overthrow when I have someone running wide open underneath. The ball always goes directly to a linebacker or safety.

The opening coin toss was removed last year as part of the process of streamlining the game's presentation and getting people into the game quicker. Instead you have "kick / receive / with wind / against wind" options tied to your user profile.

IIRC, the game still does an actual coin toss sequence at the start of overtime, but I'm not 100% positive.

Happy to report that yes it would appear the Cardinals do in fact suck. At half-time of the seahawks game Luck is 6 of 13 98 yards 1 td (I blew my man assignment) and 1 int. All the highlight catches that were being made against the Cardinals are being broken up against the Seahawks. That is pretty cool to see the difference in the teams.

Yes coin toss is there in OT. Just had an OT game yesterday to confirm.

Go play with the Skins and you'll see an even worse secondary and defense. I can't stop anything with them. Yet when I've played with the Panthers or Dolphins I've had much more success. At least with the passing game that is. As the Dolphins against the 49ers, I couldn't stop the rushing attack at all.

I am loving how you do need to double cover receivers this year. I just wish the CPU would use the presnap adjustments to do the same. As the Panthers against the Lions, I was double covering Megatron all 4th quarter and he didn't get a single catch because of it. It was thrown his way, but broken up every time thanks to the double coverage.

Not familiar with my favorite team are we? lol. Funny thing is I beat the Dolphins once I moved D. Hall out of the number 1 WR spot as he was getting ate up.

Haha, I knew they were, just didn't know if you had played many games with them. I might have to try that. The whole defense was just awful in my experience. May have been me getting used to the game also.

I lost Stafford to a broken collarbone against the Ravens in the 2nd quarter down 13 to 7 and I knew I was in trouble. I actually had the lead at half 14-13 but I ultimately lost 34-23. Orvlosky actually did a good job but I was making a lot more conservative throws. When I got more aggressive with him; I threw 2 picks.

When I first heard about the stat bubble I didn't like it but after playing I have changed my mind. I'm in week 9 or my CFM and during the games it shows career and season stats which I love. Great addition.

Agreed. I was ready to blast EA for it, then I saw it in action and enjoy having the info there

I got to week 7 of my Dolphins franchise, start the game against the Texans and I see that their starting QB is Shane Lechler.

So I go to the medical center in the pause menu and see Hoyer has an upper arm fracture, Mallett has a torn quadricep and Savage has an upper arm fracture.

Hard Knocks curse?
