Hard to tell its already been confirmed that this trailer was from an older build in certain parts, and they still haven't done a presentation blog yet but LD2k said its coming soon.

I'm just trying to see reality, but maybe a tiny tiny tiny chance

Hope they scanned Rolo's face while he was there, lol

Do we have any evidence that lower body was scanned at all for anyone? Every body scanning session has them sitting down.

EDIT: Maybe we do have evidence that full player body scans were done (link below). But what I don't understand is why even have them sit? Why not have them all stand? Maybe they scanned them while sitting and standing.

At around the 1:00 minute mark, we see Neymar getting his entire body scanned, head to foot. Do we have any evidence whatsoever that 2k had something like this going on?

I think we all know how something can work in one area and not work in another or it causes issues elsewhere when they try to fix it (I remember there was a shoe issue like this as well). From what I can tell though, it seems like your Myplayer and the regular CAPs are completely separate even though they both work on almost the same creation system. It may have something to do with that, if so I wish they could go back to your Myplayer being accessible outside Mycareer mode.

I hear you, I'm just stating people make that exact comment every summer when the sizzle trailer comes out. We all know it's mainly for the casuals and the things later like Czar's vids are for the sim heads.

Yeah, that's what killed the highlights for me was the song. And then Snoops part was horrendous. Guess it only sounds good after a actual game when a team wins but I am starting to even get tired of that.

Game looks amazing though. So surprised multiple players have mouth pieces. Hopefully, we can equip them. And next year they get more variety, I know LeBron don't always have a clear mouthpiece.

Great to know RoLo finally got scanned, unfortunately he won't have his beard though even though he's grown it back since that scan.

Spoiler
From what I've seen it appears they may just have scanned arms/torso/head but they also have video clips and pictures of guys standing up as well so it's hard to know for certain without a clear explanation on the process. I don't really think they scanned legs outside of a few distinctive ones, but that's just me speculating. But judging by what I've seen, even if they didn't, legs look better.

Been kind of obvious for a while now though. I've said it before, I don't think 2k will ever try for the TNT license (might not seem worth it to them at this point) and I don't think they need it honestly. They just need to go back to doing everything they can to mirror a real broadcast and continue upping the ante presentation wise. A few years ago I was loving the things they were doing to pull it off (the classic stuff in 2k12 was awesome and I still want that 1991 Finals intro to be for all Finals games) but then they started going flashy and "cool" (the music video stuff came in) or just stagnated (they haven't really touched the core presentation stuff in several years. I remember when they put in a lot of the laughs and excited yells for dunks etc. that was the last time they really touched things).

I don't think they're completely seperate... The demi-god glitch/exploit in MyPark and Rec is a direct result of the regular CAP system if I'm not mistaken. In theory, headband customization should be able to translate across MyPlayer and CAP... but I'm not a programmer.

All speculation, but if it was predominantly or only upper body scan, it would seem like an "inefficient" process so to speak.

NBA players likely have a limited amount of time devoted to these kind of things. It's sort of like "If I got my upper body, head, arms scanned, why do you need me to come back in for a second session? Now you want to also scan my lower body? Why didn't we do that the first time around? Alright, buy me lunch and I'll do a second session. My schedule is kinda of booked right now, how about in 2 weeks ..."

Reason why I am personally concerned has more to do with aesthetics (cankles, etc.). It is more about giving the player appropriate height and leg length. Upper body scans are great for obvious reasons. Upper arm length scan is great for aesthetics but also gameplay wingspan importance.

Tyreke Evans 6'6"

Anthony Davis 6'10"

Kendrick Perkins 6'10"

Ryan Anderson 6'10"

Yes, camera angle certainly matters, but the following screenshots has Tyreke Evans looking tall and beastly, and either a power forward or dominantly center. I thought Anthony Davis was suppose to be one of the tallest guys in the NBA, but apparently not according to my google search. Davis is 6'10" but his lanky body type makes him look 7' plus.

EDIT: Side remark. Apparently Tyreke Evans is the only one working hard on the courts . He's all sweaty and everyone else is looking fresh.

Well the fact that your player isn't accessible outside of the mode speaks to them being completely separate. It may be a programming thing, I have no idea, but it seems like it is. In general though, this gen has had issues with headbands on actual rosters whether it be actual players or CAPs. In 2k14 there was a glitch where players would lose their headband in their second season I believe in MyGM so it doesn't seem like it may be that easy of a fix.

I know for a fact that pretty much every player that was body scanned has on basketball shorts exposing their lower legs and I also know for a fact that they CAN scan whole bodies like they did with cheerleaders and in WWE. The possibility is there, I suspect they may have scanned legs, but they may not have and it may not have been completely needed as to cut down on time or because most players don't have "distinctive" legs outside of a few. Whereas a persons arm size is a lot more noticeable (please understand I'm not disregarding legs and saying they're unimportant just that they are easier to replicate anatomically without the need for scanning than a players torso/arms). As for the picture you posted, there are several things going on: 1.Tyreke is closest to the camera so he appears the largest, 2. Davis is bent over dusting off Evans' shoulders, 3. You can clearly see how much larger a true 7'1 player in Alexis Ajinca is compared to pretty much everyone there.

Greatness!!! No doubt. I think the trailer is made up of different builds only because i noticed lighting differences, some shoes laced and some not, but regardless we just witnessed a 3 min trailer better than all the comps trailers combined. No trolling. No stanning. No fanboying. Depending on your age, like me, you will always want to see your childhood friend do well. 2K always brings it no matter how long they make the impatient wait. They are really deserving of having some sort of espn/tnt licensed/endorsed something in their game. #toodanggoodclub. keep pushing the envelope 2K.
