I do not lie. I don't have time to play little games like this, especially since I have played 3 holes of the game in 2 years.

The fact that I have played through 3 full seasons on PGA TOUR career mode with THE hardest settings and never lost a tournament, usually winning by 10 strokes or more is all the proof that is needed.

My opinion is the game is too easy for ME.

And with that, I will bid you adieu.
Oh, OK. I hoped you might take the bait, but I knew you wouldn't because I know you couldn't do it, and you'd rather keep mum on that I understand. When you want to be challenged by RMPGAT just PM me and you can show much just how easy it is for YOU

Your continued efforts to badger me about RM are very tired.

You don't like the fact that I find the gameplay on the hardest level too easy.

So what? Who cares?

Play the game and have fun with it.

You have your opinion, I have mine.

End of conversation.

No Divot, it's not that I don't like the fact you claim the game is too easy. I simply called BS on your claim, then gave you a golden opportunity to disprove this, and you declined w/ the lamest of all excuses: 'I don't have time to play silly games...' I'll up it one more: I'll give you 10 to 1 odds you can't shoot -12 at Oakmont in 20mph winds, and I'll back it up w/ a Paypal payoff directly to you when you shoot your claimed average score of -12. I'd pay $10 just to see you do it if you're the pinball wizard you portray. But it's really challenging, and I think my bet would be secure. And I'll be the first to congratulate you and retract any further BS claims if you can meet the challenge.

My point Divot to you an anyone else who finds the game too easy: there are ways to keep the game very real, and yet retain ample challenge. That's all!

Lol...what the hell is going on here?

Been thinking about grabbing EA access for a month or so to get my golf fix in. That said I've given RM 3 or 4 tries since it released and its never really kept me intrigued.

Lol, right?

To your main point.
I've now given it 3 tries since it released and am finally done doing so.

A very nice looking 1/3 baked cake whose flavor is off a bit and has no layers, frosting or candles.

I am not interested in your "challenge".

I do not need to justify my thoughts and opinions of the game to you or anyone. Not sure why you disrespect opinions of the game that don't match yours.

I was one of many asking for more challenge when the game was released and continuing until EA stopped updating the game. They never upped the challenge of the swing on the most challenging levels, therefore I lost interest in the game.

I realize that you are having a real problem with anyone claiming the game is too easy for them, but these persistent challenges and accusations are about the silliest things I have witnessed in an internet forum.

When I quit playing, I looked for a more challenging game and found it with Jack Nicklaus Perfect Golf. WAY more challenging that RM by a long shot.

I am now playing The Golf Club 2 which I find equally challenging to JNPG and WAY more challenging than RM.

Please feel free to drop this persistent, ridiculous nonsense.

It is MY opinion about the game.

Agree to disagree and move on.

Enough with this nonsense. If you want to measure your ego please find another way to do so.

I don't think you followed this because it has nothing to do w/ my ego. I'm not the guy saying the game is too easy. I simply challenged the man to prove it IN A DEMONSTRATION match, simply and privately in about 30m, and he declined, so this has something to do w/ my ego? You're right, it's nonsense.

Still very much proving my point. Thank you for agreeing though about it being nonsense. We can all move on now.

You can go back to playing and enjoying it, Divot can continue to not play and be happy with his choice, and the rest of us can erase this weird charade you went on and go back to discussing RM.

Thank you for your attention to this.

Keep looking for it it's an incredible game, the crown jewel in the series. If you listen to the informal leaders of opinion in this thread you'll be dissuaded from buying the game, but don't be fooled. The game offers ample challenge for anyone who chooses to seek it. The graphic and audio presentations are fabulous. Player ani swings are spot on. H2H play is simple but very effective. The main downfall in the game is that it is missing some bells and whistles that simple diminish what it could have been or could be. While the belief perpetrated here is that EA is [forever] done with it, I don't believe that will remain the case. RM sold more copies than its immediate predecessor, the massive work it took to port it to the incredible Frostbite graphics engine is already done. EA can park it for a year or two, and because the core work is already done and proven it would be a case of adding a few more courses and players, tweak a few minor features, and re-release it in 2019 or 2020, perhaps disconnected from the Rory trademark. If they had to start from scratch this might not happen but as I say the massive port over to the Frostbite engine, and massive amounts of components already built, I think it could still happen and w/ minimal overhead compared to what it took to built Rory.

If it is a digital download from Gamestop, you should have no worries about the game and being able to play it.

Not sure how much you ever played of the Tiger Woods series, but the only thing that Rory has over the Tiger series is that it look better on the Frostbite engine. Everything else about Rory is lacking compared to Tiger, especially Tiger '14 in every respect, especially courses, PGA TOUR Golfers, licensed content, etc.

IMO, gameplay in Rory on the hardest level is nowhere near as challenging as TW14 was in Simulation Mode with the diagonal swing. It is one person's opinion who played more than 1000 rounds in both games.

If you are looking for some inexpensive PGA TOUR Golf fun that looks pretty on the PS4, you can't go wrong. It is a shallow game, but pretty to look at.

When does EA's PGA Tour license expire? Would the game be pulled then?

No idea. They have had an exclusive license with the PGA Tour since the early 1990's.

If EA did not keep the license, it should have no impact on the availability of the game.

Rory leaving the vault. It's over

Just a matter of time for the online play shutdown.
Hard to know when on that though it would seem.

https://www.ea.com/service-updates/2018

EA Access members, please note that we are removing EA SPORTS™ Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR® from the EA Access Vault on May 22, 2018. On this date, the game will no longer be available to download from the EA Access console app or the Xbox Store.

Further evidence EA is not coming back to console PGA TOUR Golf anytime soon.....

You should yes. It’s a big one as it will incled the few courses they added after releas.
