Huh? They move. Quite dramatically from Thursday's rounds to Sunday. Rounds 1 and 2 are usually pretty accessible, and pretty decently easy putts. Saturday and Sundays are more tucked away, and there's much more break in your putts.

Havent played the game in months, any new courses added?

Nothing new. I'm almost certain that they are done with adding to this game. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I just bought this for 10$ digitally on PS4. I have the Golf Club but that game couldn't keep me immersed for long.

I'm looking forward to jumping on and seeing how this plays.

Maybe I'm not paying attention LOL I won my first 5 tournaments with a Prodigy golfer level 67.

Golfing is GREAT but the tournaments are pretty much arcade-ish on 3 click and everything hard. The closest to losing was a 5 shot lead.

I'm playing the online tournaments that are much more fun but I can't gain attributes so I'm forced to play the PRO games to get better. - the Weekly and Daily tournaments. Yea - I can hit -14 but it seems most others can also so it makes NOT getting a birdie a loss. Played many 30 rounds now? LOVE the game.

I do wish they would fix that though. Thursday and Saturday should be the easier pin location days with Friday and Sunday's being the tougher spots.

If they're not going to release new games for a while, from what I read at least, can they at least keep adding more courses once the meat of the season starts? Or do we think they're really done?

I don't believe they are done. Just not a high priority ???

I wish I knew what the tiebreaker was all about.

I played at least 5 years of Tiger about 36 rounds of Rory - then after reading a number of posts (76 pages so far) about The Golf Club, I found a copy for cheap and have officially switch golf games. I was a 3 clicker in Rory and the change is not as hard as I assumed it would be. I'm not trolling Rory but for REAL golfers this is great.

That was my problem with it too. It just looked... almost early Xbox360 like to me, and it didn't even run all that well on the XB1. Now, it was more than fine enough to hold me over until Rory dropped, and it plays a pretty good game of golf, and that course editor is something that still brings me back to it.

If EA was smart, for the next PGA game they release it should come stock with plenty of courses. I'm sure they'll have some as DLC after too, but they should also have a course creator of some sort. It brings so much more value to the game. Then if they were really smart, they'd allow those created courses to transfer from Rory 17, to 18, and 19... etc. etc. A lot to ask for, sure. However, to me, I love playing the authentic courses that pros play on, but I also love being able to explore fantasy courses that I or others can create. EA's fantasy courses this year weren't bad in Rory. Of course, the battlefield one was... No doubt about that. The others though at least were in the realm of possibility of being a "real" course. I like that. Some of my favorite TGC rounds were on courses I created. Even if I just whipped them up mostly random/automatically system generated and only edited a few things here and there.

That's where Rory, and EA's PGA games have always lost me... They can give me 25 regular PGA authentic courses. But once I get into my career mode, playing four rounds in each tournament at any given course, you get pretty tired of the same 20 some odd courses pretty quickly. It needs more variation. A course creator would be fantastic for that.

Rory for me was just to shallow. It's like golf lite with no stats, no score cards no handicap no graphs, courses are way way too easy and arcade-ish even on a hard setting.

Not hitting the fairway is no big deal.

If you are a REAL golfer Rory does not give you that stressful feeling. But the big thing is the total lack of "community". I really really enjoyed Rory for the 40 rounds but the lack of depth killed it for me. AND - of course you cannot create better courses.

I think the lack of country clubs and stats and stuff was mainly due to it being first year on next gen and being completely re-built to run on frostbite. It was pretty obvious by the game releasing with only 10 courses (or whatever it was) and only a few modes that it was incomplete. However, they kept their promise and added plenty more courses and game modes. I just don't think the stuff like country clubs and a full-er developed career mode were just too much to patch in after the fact.

I'd think if there's another Rory to come, those features will be there again.

For me the greater problem of the game is a too little number of golfer. It's a good idea to make possible uploading and downloading golfers, or create a dlc ( i can pay for it) for a roster of at least 100 golfers

I assume the problem is that they have to negotiate with and pay each individual golfer for their likeness but in a game where a majority of people use their own created player that really makes little sense.

to me it was the courses. Hard to get into a golf game that doesn't have Pebble. But yes, much more immersion in the season and tournaments is needed as well.

Do we know if EA is actually working on a new golf game?

# 637 DivotMaker @ 04/10/17 06:40 PM
According to several articles and no mention of a Golf game in their quarterly reports, I would say no.

Probably for the best. I think this game like no other needs to go to a subscription base or something. The PGA plays way to many courses in a season compared to the limited offerings or at least go the way of that other game and develop super deep create a course feature and let the community go crazy.

I really agree and also wish they would make a PC version so the modding community could take over and give it wings.

Tiger Woods 2008 still, to this day, has new courses being made for it!
