I do wish they would fix that though. Thursday and Saturday should be the easier pin location days with Friday and Sunday's being the tougher spots.

If they're not going to release new games for a while, from what I read at least, can they at least keep adding more courses once the meat of the season starts? Or do we think they're really done?

I don't believe they are done. Just not a high priority ???

I wish I knew what the tiebreaker was all about.

I played at least 5 years of Tiger about 36 rounds of Rory - then after reading a number of posts (76 pages so far) about The Golf Club, I found a copy for cheap and have officially switch golf games. I was a 3 clicker in Rory and the change is not as hard as I assumed it would be. I'm not trolling Rory but for REAL golfers this is great.

Tried Golf Club, and I just can't past the ugliness and manliness of the game. Maybe the sequel will have real production values.

That was my problem with it too. It just looked... almost early Xbox360 like to me, and it didn't even run all that well on the XB1. Now, it was more than fine enough to hold me over until Rory dropped, and it plays a pretty good game of golf, and that course editor is something that still brings me back to it.

If EA was smart, for the next PGA game they release it should come stock with plenty of courses. I'm sure they'll have some as DLC after too, but they should also have a course creator of some sort. It brings so much more value to the game. Then if they were really smart, they'd allow those created courses to transfer from Rory 17, to 18, and 19... etc. etc. A lot to ask for, sure. However, to me, I love playing the authentic courses that pros play on, but I also love being able to explore fantasy courses that I or others can create. EA's fantasy courses this year weren't bad in Rory. Of course, the battlefield one was... No doubt about that. The others though at least were in the realm of possibility of being a "real" course. I like that. Some of my favorite TGC rounds were on courses I created. Even if I just whipped them up mostly random/automatically system generated and only edited a few things here and there.

That's where Rory, and EA's PGA games have always lost me... They can give me 25 regular PGA authentic courses. But once I get into my career mode, playing four rounds in each tournament at any given course, you get pretty tired of the same 20 some odd courses pretty quickly. It needs more variation. A course creator would be fantastic for that.

Eh, 25 courses are plenty. I'd take more, but but it's not a deal breaker at all.

Where EA lost me was the lack of Country Clubs and creating a sense of community with your friends. I want to set up tourney for friends, with plenty of stats to track. without that, it just starts to feel stale.

If you are scorechasing your friends, 25 courses are more than enough to keep you interested. But just playing solo? I don't think more course will help.

It wasn't the lack of courses that hurt career play, it was the utter lack of stats and calendars. There was no sense that you were actually playing in a season, other than they told you how many FedEx points you had.

That's what sucks about the game possibly being dead. It is so close to being the best game ever. The gameplay is there.

Re: Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR Available Today - Post Your Impressions Here

Rory for me was just to shallow. It's like golf lite with no stats, no score cards no handicap no graphs, courses are way way too easy and arcade-ish even on a hard setting.

Not hitting the fairway is no big deal.

If you are a REAL golfer Rory does not give you that stressful feeling. But the big thing is the total lack of "community". I really really enjoyed Rory for the 40 rounds but the lack of depth killed it for me. AND - of course you cannot create better courses.
