Once you boot the game up for the first time it gives you 3 difficulty levels.
1. Novice
2. Amateur
3. Pro (Pro has an AI difficulty 80 out of 100 btw)
I chose pro. Let's just say I have a lot to unlearn from DriveClub, not saying Driveclub is bad because it isn't. But PC is a different beast altogether.
It is very easy to spin out. You have to be very gentle on the accelerator. Making it around the track without incident for me felt like an accomplishment.
I would say this game isn't for everyone.
The amount of options are truly staggering and welcomed by me. I enjoy setting up random events and the like, and this game gives me those opportunities at every turn. If you are a racing fan, I think you will be well pleased. If not, might want to stay away because it isn't your average pick up and play racer.
EDIT: Try these settings out. They helped me with the steering. But be patient haha.
Understand if you are adjusting the controller to make it a bit smoother in the corners, your breaking points are most likely going to change and you will need to adjust your approach to each track - the adjustments do work, but I have actually gone back to default settings because I felt like my breaking points were so early post-adjustments, it was adding time to my laps - just an FYI
Downloading it now. Love the fact that this game costs $59.99 on PSN in Canada rather than the $69.99+tax in stores. Hell, Star Wars Battlefront and Black Ops 3 are up for preorder on the Store for $79.99 up here.
I tried the default settings and I must stick with the adjustments for now. Keeping it on the track is damn near impossible for me with the defaults. I did try the go carts after the full game installed with the helmet cam. That was very fun indeed. I want to try a race weekend with the carts before I start my career mode on Saturday.
Picked up my PS4 copy from eb games here in canada got a steelbook case, poster & pre-order dlc pack. Also picked up the thrustmaster t-80 wheel. I know there are better high end wheels with force feedback but the t-80 suits me fine. Haven't used a wheel in many years last time was on colecovision for the game turbo. Going from controller to wheel is quite the learning curve but I am improving just making some tweaks. Been having alot of fun with it.
Only played the start up race a few times while the game installs, enjoying it very much. I've been using the control settings bng linked earlier. Slowly getting the hang of it by running a few 2 and a couple 5 lap races.
Messed around with the weather which looks awesome.
Loving the game so far. My question is where is Indianapolis Motor Speedway at? I remember seeing an article on OS stating that it would be in the game.

Indy is going to be part of a DLC pack at a later time that's going to have a few other ovals and the 2015 Indy Cars
