Why are people talking about TV refresh rates? I haven't heard of a modern TV (since like the 1980s) that is not 60Hz.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd imagine any tv made in the last decade wouldn't have any issues.

ATTENTION EVERYONE: I made a twitter account with the hopes of voicing our desire for transferable rosters in MLB The Show. Follow the account here @TransfShowRost

Post with the hashtag in the bio, #GetTransferableRostersInTheShow15 and add @MLBTheShow so they see it

Hopefully we can get the hashtag trending and get it noticed by MLB The Show and their developers. It's worth a shot, hopefully others feel the same way.

Thanks

Maybe a Dev or CD guys can answer this.

Has there been any discussions about the possibility of adding an option to import players into existing franchises? Rather than starting over after roster updates.

Yeah along those lines pretty much. Would do wonders if I player gets added that you didn't have in a roster you're using in a franchise.

Example would be Daniel Coulombe of the Dodgers last year. No one had him in their roster then he got called up in the middle of the year.

That would be awesome! This is something I wish all games had. Although here once the OSFM is done it's needed less it would still be very welcomed!

I didn't see it in the stream so the answer might be no, but did they add the ability to add the jaw flap to the batting helmets? If not will it be programmed specifically for Jason Heyward and Giancarlo Stanton?

I don't even own the system, but after watching that stream makes me wanna put a savings plan towards a PS4.

Not this year that new piece of equipment was cut from the game.

Thanks for the response Ramone.

Is there any talk about adding multiple mitt options for players in the editor?

Example: a utility player would need 3 different gloves 1B/OF would need 2 gloves etc......

Also how about home/road equipment options in the editor in the future? That would work for things such as mitts, batting gloves, cleats, catchers gear etc.......

Home and road equipment is toward the top of my wishes for future games. i go through before every series and edit batting gloves for my team based on whether it's a home or road series. I don't do it for road teams though because I don't keep up with who wears what for everyone.

It's been on my list for 3 years now.

Just a little add i think would be nice for the edit/create player section, is when your selecting bating stances if there could be a batters boxed laid out under the player. You can have a better feel for how the stance will look once in game. I know you can move the camera around but sometimes a closed/open stance looks diff once in game if i don't get the camera angle just right..just a thought

Home and away equipment are on the list but we first have to solve the memory issue that comes with doing that.

Thanks for the reply again Ramone. Glad to see it's on the list for sometime down the road if memory issues are solved.

In the equipment stream I asked Luis and he implied sooner than later. Sony engineers need to hurry up and shrink the OS overhead, maybe we'll see some RAM cleared up in the next major firmware update (which is supposedly coming soon.)

Hey Ramone, for people like myself (probably a majority) who don't really know much about how much space things take up on a game, and think there is probably SOO much room available on the PS4 still(when apparently there really isn't), can you tell us how much space is actually available on the PS4 and what number The Show is at? That way we have a better understanding of really what you guys are working with?

PS4 has 8GB GDDR5 RAM but the OS supposedly takes up 3GB (last I heard, that was almost a year ago). That leaves 5 GB for games, which will only increase as the OS overhead shrinks (which is a very common occurrence). IIRC the PS3 had 512 MB of split RAM and I think the OS overhead went from 120MB to eventually 50MB, so it really is quite amazing how many good looking (at the time I guess lol) games the system had.

I do think PS4 has a lot of untapped potential when it comes to The Show. The RAM has at least 10 times the power of the PS3. I know the 1080p certainly takes a chunk out of that but it doesn't seem like the PS4 has that much more going on at once. It's got to be an issue of optimization.
