I don't think this made it in for existing players. If you watch today's stream when they go into the player editor it appears to be locked for non-created players. Could just be for the stream, but who knows.

Was thinking about this during the stream. Catcher's equipment looks incredible compared to years past, but the empty middle where the logo should be looks off and missing something. Definitely would love to see brands such as UA, Rawlings, AllStar, Nike and Mizuno catchers equipment in next year.

Man, i can't believe they haven't taken the little bit of time it takes to redo the elbow guards.

I got a good question for them while streaming, When are they getting a new game engine?

The real answer is when we have to. Meaning when we get some competition...

I actually heard that it takes a full minute to update as opposed to the industry standard of 30 seconds to update elbow guards.

No competition = little to no work!

Yeah, it was the first year, so i'm not too worried. Hopefully next year, they continue to get more brands (New Balance, Adidas etc.), and more licensed equipment, and a couple years down the line, there won't be a need for generic gear at all.

But even if they don't get any new brands, then they can add things like licensed chest protectors, and licensed arm bands/wrist bands, with the brands already in the game. As well as more batting gloves with brands already in the game, like Jose Bautista and now David Ortiz wear Marucci bating gloves, and that brands already in the game, but not for batting gloves. As well as Granderson wears Louiville Slugger batting gloves, etc. If it's that simple.

I can assure you that if you continue to blatantly insult the dev staff this way you will not be here long.

They welcome constructive criticism.

But blatant disrespect will not be tolerated.

well, that sounds like sarcasm to me...

But that's OK... Right?

It was sarcasm.

And unless you can really say you know how long it takes for them to update elbow guards it wasn't misguided.

And this is no disrespect to the developers...

Sony cuts the checks. They do what Sony allows them to do, by funding the game development.
If anything it's a shot at SCEA.

Look, i bought The Show in 2008, 09, 10, 11, 12 , and 13.

I loved it then, but year after year of seeing the same core game over and over got me thinking..

Where are the game play changes?
Where is the new game engine?
Where is the new commentary?

Just saying, when they loose the market in a few years, all the above will be then looked into.

And as I said, constructive criticism is both allowed and welcomed. But saying something like accusing the dev team of not working won't be allowed.

It's really as simple as that.
