I don't expect Live to be perfect right away, but I do expect it to get the fundamentals right! SMH

Fast breaks were a ton more fluid. I hit an outlet pass from Love to Kyrie, who swung it quickly to Lebron in the middle of the floor, getting up the floor quickly for an uncontested dunk. Very nice. Here's a few videos of my last game against the Bulls and overall stats.

My favorite of the game:

I lost Rose on the play, as I was watching Noah after Rose passed out of the shot. Very nice to see.

I hadn't seen this push shot prior to today, and I've played a bunch.

Here's a D-Rose attempt to draw the foul at the end of the quarter

Here's slow mo

Another look at it:

Lastly, here is the quick rebound, outlet and pass to Lebron. Very fluid

Lastly, the stats:

Held them to 43% shooting, they had 0 blocked shots. I ended up winning big, but only because of 6 FT's at the end of the game.

Double teaming is done really nicely this season....unlike live 14.

I had Tim Duncan make 6 straight buckets one on one against Phoenix (Morris)

Was a bit concerned they had let me play one on one so long, but then the cpu really reacted...

The next three possesions I went down low to Timmy and on one had Dragic come to double team...next possesion had Bledsloe come...and the third time had Tucker come and aggressively trap as the double teamer. The doubles all came differently depending on where on the floor I posted up Timmy.

Great stuff....the more I play, the more I realise how much they have improved the CPU AI from Live 14.

Entire game was on Superstar 10 minute quarters

Just finished the game against the Lakers. Not one of their bigs did a hook shot in the post. They all did pump fakes and spin moves. Lakers finished 4 for 14 from 3pt line. They clearly changed their tactics when they were losing, it became the Kobe show in the second half, Kobe got the ball a lot.

Lakers were 9 for 13 from the free throw line.

5 steals for the Lakers, 8 steals for me with the Bulls. I must say they do jump the passing lane more.

One thing I didn't like though is in the second half the USER side consistency drops off big time. I didn't like that with crash boards on, all of a sudden in the 2nd half my team couldn't rebound at all, like they did in the 1st half. Sad thing was, they were no where near the basket. It is like I release a shot my teammates would move away from the basket.

I don't know if that is built in CPU catch up logic programmed in or what. But it was definitely noticeable and felt deliberate that I was missing shots and rebounds I was making and getting in the 1st half.

EA definitely needs to tone done the CPU ability to dunk in traffic down the middle. 4th quarter Kobe was able to do this too much, where as in the 1st half he was missing these dunks, so it felt like CPU come back cheese to me.

CPU FG % is still too high though, 54%. I noticed in the second half Lakers was running pick n roll for Nash and Linn a lot.

FWIW, synergy from the Cavs and Bulls game is already updated, showing right stats and %.

Posted this in the vids thread, but I was really impressed by the physics here...even though CP3 got a clutch basket...

I wonder if Synergy is preventing people from going above their stats ? Because I swear Rose was on fire the 1st half, but once he hit his season average, it seemed like he went ice cold. Same thing with Noah and Dunleavy.

I would like to know what was in the update.

But the big moments I played were better than previous just with how the CPU behaved.

I played the sixers Suns 4th qtr and liked just about everything I saw. Everything seems more balanced.

Wow I love the gameplay changes. With the CPU O not being so lethal from 3 the whole game feels so much better.

Just had a sweet game as the nuggets vs g st.

His nice kicks

Curry with the lovely chest pass, Thompson misses the 3 and Nate the great, smallest on the court, biggest heart, snags the rebound and whips it out to Mozgov who sees it, protects it and then throws it down.

Honestly it's just the fairest the CPU has played so far. This to me is the best playing solo player vs cpu game they have made in awhile.

How did Bogut miss that board, lol.

Picked up Live 15 today. First time buying Live since '10. Game plays good, and I gotta say it feels damn good playing this series again! Welcome back!

I just finished playing my first game on Superstar and I lost to the Rockets by a point. I couldn't figure out how to intentionally foul down in the final seconds, so they dribbled it around as the clock ticked down.

In the first quarter Houston jumped out to a big lead. They scored 40 points and shot 70%, so the majority of the game was spent trying to climb out of that hole. In the 4th quarter I managed to take a lead, and we went back and forth until I eventually lost. Fun game though. Dwight was an absolute monster on the boards.

The only thing that really stuck out to me in this one was the lack of free throws that Houston shot. I normally only hit triangle to contest when I think I can block, but only giving up four shots is still a bit low. I haven't paid much attention to that in my other games, so I'll see if that's a trend or not.

Houston also ran two sweet alley oops on me in the first quarter. I've heard people mention that the CPU never does it, but I've seen it several times since I've been playing. They don't do it all the time, but it does happen.

One thing I'd like to see is some of the contested baskets in the paint miss a bit more. If we could get those to miss maybe 20% more often than they do now, I think it would make a big difference.

Spoiler

Your 1st game playing and you saw CPU throw 2 alley oops in the 1st quarter and several times in 1 game ? Your 1st game ?

I played about 20 games now and haven't seen it yet on Superstar. So yeah video evidence or it didn't happen

What system are you playing on ?

You got the golden copy if you saw not one, not 2, but SEVERAL alley oops thrown by the CPU in your FIRST GAME.

Only played a half (12 min quarters) with the new data update and I can definitely notice improvements. CPU missing open threes and more layups missed. All good changes. Wish I had recorded it but had a sequence where the Cavs (I'm Miami) grabbed 4 offensive boards under the ring and with me jumping to attempt a block, they missed 3 times and went back up and up. Really life like when you see a dominant board team hammer the offensive glass.

I'm not mentioning the other game to start anything but I played it for the first time (free on steam at the moment) just before this Live session and I have to say, enjoyed the movement in Live a lot. Felt like they moved real well. Whether that was because of the update or not, no idea but well to control.

Comes back to these couple of issues though as to why I'm not sure I could make it my main game this year and it's a shame as I really want to.

- player and team likeness. Seems to have improved maybe as more games are played but Chris Andersen keeps posting up on thr block calling for the ball. LeBron hardly touched the ball too. This really needs fixing as if player and especially team likeness is correct, I'd be all over it.

- editing. I don't know if it can be patched in or not but I want to choose my play sets. Sliders missing I don't like and wish they could be patched in too but could live with if the game is tuned correctly. Editing not so much. Incorrect rosters and or ratings and there is nothing we can do about it until EA adjusts it whenever that is (Nash still in).

Man if those two were in/fixed.

Im thinking all star is too easy...Ive been playing vs the Cavs...the games have been close affairs, but mainly because the CPU can be too passive...and Im able to make too many step back "hero shots" I currently have a 26-16 lead on the Cavs with Lebron being 0-4 through 2 1/2 qtrs..using the Knicks. Sorry, but my onball skills arent THAT good.

I like the flow and pace of the game a lot. There's a lot here that I like, but I really feel like it is a better multi-player game as opposed to a game where you can really get deep into dynasty mode.

The animation depth just isnt there. Sure, everything is functional, and works pretty well..but it's basic. Kevin Love will torch you with post fades, because he is Kevin Love..but the only difference between his post fades, and some other guy, is that he makes them more. I can see this being my online game and the "other game" being my offline franchise mode game. I REALLY like playing this game vs another user.

When is Live going to update their rosters?

# 440 WTF @ 11/01/14 09:36 AM
I'd recommend everyone try superstar just to see if you see some problems that you may have clear up. I'm seeing some really nice off ball movement, some great passing (including jump passing and freestyle passing ). I'm seeing pumpfakes, signature size ups, different reads on pick n roll, etc.

I held the Mavs to 1-6 FGS to start my last game, only up to 27% at half time. Granted, they held me to 1-7 FGS to start, finally getting to 30% at the half.
