Check out the new NBA 2K15 Most Valuable Players trailer, containing NBA 2K14 gameplay footage.

For those of you expecting something big, this isn't it. At the end of the trailer it shows the KD MVP bonus pack details for anyone pre-ordering NBA 2K15.

NBA 2K15 is scheduled to release on October 7th. Coming to Xbox One, PS4, 360, PS3 and PC.

I would not be so sure about that. I never thought I could be driven away from 2K (owner of NBA 2K2 through 2K13) but it happened. Since I've historically enjoyed the series so, I'm hanging on and hoping for them to return to form in 2K15. But it was a lot easier living without buying 2K14 than I thought it'd be. It is my belief that others may feel similarly.

That was using in-game footage from 2K14, so they may still be implementing a new CAP system, but I gotta admit those pre-order bonuses seem super lame.

Gotta hope they've actually listened to the community, plus all the upheaval and actual make drastic design changes over 2K14. If it's just more of the same DRM bull**** and myriad of other issues, then I'll just stick with current/last gen 2K15.

Regarding the news... Should've been expected it'd be a relatively small announcement given the game's at least 4-5 months away from release.

You would think they'd find a way to incorporate the Kinect/PS4 camera to some good uses...smh

Dude I couldn't have said it better. Albeit I've been playing the PC version of 2k14...but 2k14 for XB1 man I could've just waited and bought a cheaper XB1 this fall...

I wasn't expecting anything from this,but I came away shaking my head. For the first time, I may not buy an NBA game. After seeing the emphasis on the vc and MyTeam/MyCareer ALREADY, I'm cool on this.
It's obvious who this game is for and what it's becoming and I'm too damn broke to be spending money on "virtual currency" to buy pokemon card NBA players in a damn videogame. Hell, telling me the navigation menu was simple again would've got me more hype than this "your time has come" crap we are about to embark on.

Like several of you have mentioned, VC and the focus on MyPlayer have all but sealed my decision this year.

Yep looks like I will be spending this year revisiting the ultimate base rosters for nba 2k12 or 2k14 now that it is released. I would rather play with the classic players/teams anyways in most cases.

It's funny all you see are these guys on twitter and what not asking for locker codes diamond this and diamond that and retweets about players scoring 150+ plus! This is the market I guess their looking to cater for and if you not on board then get left behind I guess....

But Let me save judgement til more info is given ...

I like the career modes, but they need to work on the on-court issues first and foremost. As much fun as My Career can be, the horrible AI and mountains of bugs ruin the experience.

You know what's crazy about that. I actually played and enjoyed mycareer more way back in 2k10 than I do now. As barren as the mode was then, I liked that you had to do the draft combine and summer league, and could fall out of the NBA to the D-League and have to work your way back up. You had the choice to be a star, role player, or journeyman. It's like they took out all the things that made me like it and didn't add small things I thought would make it what it needed to be(changing jerseys before games, sim games, award ceremonies for MVP's like Live used to). Everything is damn near already done for you and you have to become this unbelievable superstar in one season, even to the point of 2k scripting games.
