Does anyone know if you can watch the top fighters online like in EA MMA?

Alexander Gustaffson was channeling his inner Anderson Silva with this kick.

After a couple hours of play time, the one issue thats bothering me at the moment, is that the punches and kicks don't seem to have much of an impact. How can I say….? The game isn't visceral? I think thats a good phrase for what I'm trying to say here. I'm not FEELING the impact of the strikes or the heaviness of the fighters. There's no force behind the strikes.

Out of the selection of EA sports games I've played, the devs always seem to have a problem transitioning the weight and impact of the real world into their games. This problem is especially noticeable in the Madden series where the players just have this odd "floaty" feel (which they seem to be improving on in Madden). That "floaty, feathery" feel is the way the punches/kicks feel, to me, in this game.

As far as the comments referencing a game being sim or not, I've never really had a problem with that as I MAKE the game play sim. That takes the implementation of house rules, but I'm used to house rules, so I usually make games as sim as I want them to be.

I don't see this no impact to the strikes that people seem to talk about, I think the impact looks great, and looks heavy, the problem is a lot of you guys are used to that street fighter sounding smack from the undisputed series, It made strikes sound harder, but not really all that realistic. I think that is what is happening for a lot of you guys who get the feel that there is no impact in this game. The lack of heavy sound is playing tricks on you guys.

Honestly hope this turf pans out. A lot of promise, too bad EA is making it really.

I get the EA dislike, I really do.............BUT one thing I will always give credit for EA and its critical for me. Online net code is generally fantastic for the most part! I mean look at the fantastic The Show and how crippled it is with shaddy net code, this is one area you generally won't have to worry about with EA. Plus even though you say its "bad work ethic", at least EA releases multiple patches with their games. A bunch of companies you are lucky to get a single patch.

Here is another video of Jones getting KO'ed . He thinks it's a body shot. Only to take a nice head kick.

You are correct Matt. Just to show a example (random video grab). Skip to 11:00 and just watch the fight under the eyes coming right out of under EA UFC. You will notice pace and strike accuracy are far more a issue than what the "force of the strike looks like".

I agree with you. I actually think temp stamina is fine, guys gas out just fine, maybe it could be a tad more strict. What needs work is permenant stamina, that seems to stay fresh anf give guys longevity to keep pullung head kicks and other stuff through out the fight. Permenant stamina needs to be more strict.

That is so true. I played literally hundreds of FNC fights and can count maybe 10 disconnects on their fault.

When you consider bones stamina is 69 and his endurance is 69, Gus stamina 69 and endurance 68, with these guys able to throw all these highlight moves and see very little stamina burn. Omg I can only imagine what the featherweights will be like.

I don't know man, I have seen the cpu opponent gas themselves out hard after a few whiffs and chasing, me, the problem is they get that stamina right back after they back off. I think there should be more of a penalty for completely blowing your temp stamina, maybe a couple seconds pass before it even starts to regen. I see the stamina burn, they just get it back too quickly in my opinion. And overall stamina is too forgiving, At the pace they are holding they should have half a bar for total stamina by the 3rd round. Total stamina needs a reworking.

Wooow just KOed bones in first 15 secs. Walked to center landed body shot that rocked him then two left/right hooks for KO

Just won my first decision. Wow!!! If I could just figure out the ground game I might be in business. I agree with the stamina issue. Needs more of a penalty
