MLB 14 The Show News Post

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We’ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

I am reading on some other sites that people are having trouble with the hard copies now, if they just started their downloads in the last hour or so they are locking up and not completing. Can anyone here confirm? Trying to decide whether to cancel and go hard copy or not.

It's just a few hours everyone. Yes, it would've be nice to have kicked off the 47GB download last night, but it didn't happen people, get over it. Just wait a few more hours, probably 4 at the most, and then everything in the world will be right again.

I'm glad this worked for you and this was my intention as well. I figured a quick call to my cc company and my refund would be set. However, Sony reps told me they would put a debt on my account and freeze it until that was paid off. That did cause me to freak out a little and get bent out of shape.

I had a nice conversation with the supervisor I spoke with. I've been on their end before in the past so I know that yelling at and disrespecting them gets me nowhere. I did mention to him that there are some frustrated people out there right now and it would go along way if he could possibly give his employees the authorization to make a refund instead of waiting for hours to get through to him and others in his position. He stated that he was going to look into it and if he got the go ahead, this is what he would do. So hopefully some of this frustration will now be alleviated with allowing the reps to issue the refunds.

Game kicks *** BTW. I'm playing it on my 102" projector right now and am completely floored.

Good luck to those of you still trying to resolve the issues and to the trolls telling everybody to calm down and quit overreacting, mind your own business and STFU.

People were reporting having to download a roster patch. I understand the disk installs, but thanks for insulting a new user to the site.

I live in Hungary, Europe, I'm +6 hours to EST, it's 19:37 here. When does the US store update? Does it worth to stay up late?

You're comparing your job to a freaking video game. Stop.

Or ordering things "offline".

Terrible.

Offline, would be in the store right?

I'm not even waiting for the digital to post, but it is quite odd to me that we are 13 hours past "advertised launch time" and they have YET to resolve this "issue"?

Strange indeed. I feel for all of you. I know I would be absolutely furious, whether some of you agree with that being acceptable, or not.

Just ignore him. He has proven to be a troll who does nothing more than try to insult people for 150+ pages. I have yet to see him add anything productive to this thread. Some people are just miserable hacks.

I gotta work soon, does anyone know of a way I'll be able to start the download when it posts, assuming it doesn't automatically download?

Keep your Vita with you and keep checking on it with Remote Play.

Here is some knowledge:

1. Over 70 and cataracts are common.

2. Over 70 and good chance of getting "floaters", the little things that move around in your eye that look like dirty baseballs.

3. Over 70 and playing online could result in waking up at your local hospital. Stress is not good for the over 70 crowd.

4. Over 70 and trying to get a game in before my time ends.

Nah, it isn't all that bad, but it isn't all that good either ;-)

2. I get those at 48.
