I really like the practice mode. It's fun to try out a player's skills without a defence. I like how they make the song in the background sound as if it were coming through the gyms speakers. Is it just me or do the player look like giants with the camera angle.

Bouncetek is a lot better too, way more responsive than before. Haven't really played enough to notice a difference in the passing.

Graphics look pretty nice, more sharp than before. Again haven't really played enough to see the little differences the lighting makes. I'll play some more an give more detailed impressions later.

this is a great game if you want to play ultimate team and exibition, but for a dynasty guy like myself, drastic changes needed asap!

Just a quick note for anyone who didn't know, if you press up on the d-pad in the tutorial, the little box that show the controls goes away.

Why's that's? I play dynasty and I'm perfectly fine. What issues are you seeing?

Quick impressions after playing both the xbox 1 version and ps4 version of the update.

I'm going to make this post simple and sweet and then get back to playing the xbox 1 version....

YUP

ITS WAYYYYYYY BETTER on Xbox 1.

Two things LEAPED out at me.

The flow is miles..I mean miles betters, and the rate of contested shot makes has gone WAY down...I actually feel rewarded for forcing tough shots more consistently.

The flow of the game is a stark upgrade.

I'm still a little down on the roster and rating changes, but overall I don't know whether to give EA a pat on the back, or pissed still that the game didn't release like in this 1st place

you can't fire coaches

the draft is in july

no editing rookie accessories

you can't see all the award winners or injuries

once you get into year 2 the the schedule gets wacky!!!!!!!!! you play 15 road games straight and play 18 home games straight.

Not really impressed at all to be completely honest....actually pretty disappointed with the gameplay updates and lack of actual fixes....

I can definitely see the passing has been improved as well as the catching and transition into actions,...I can see responsiveness has been tweaked...all that is great..as is the practice mode....

Unfortunately, none of my major gameplay concerns were really addressed, and I don't get it..animations still miss each other at a high rate, paint defense is still hit or miss, and the A.I still force feeds the ball into the post whether it makes any sense or not...I mean, that's literally all I wanted improved and I was very confident it'd get looked at...just disappointed...

and there were 0 fixes for actual bugs...I can't call this a "great update" with a straight face..

It is what it is...I will still play it, have some fun with it...but for all the build up, I am definitely let down...

EDIT: and now I have routine pass going all the way across court? TF?

Everything just flows better now. /Offensive/Defensive responsiveness I feel I'm in control especially down on the block. Before I felt helpless but I can say now the CPU success rate is around 25-30% and they don't even try it that often

I'm still disappointed in the Non TO's, Subs. At this point it is what it is.

Game is no doubt a solid 8+ and I would be concerned if I was the competition at what EA will be coming with next year.

DAMN COMPETITION IS GOOD!!!!

I agree to some extent

cross court pass is VERY true spin for a layup out of bounds is still there and the lack of player fixable game speed via sliders and player attribute rating is a HUGE downer for me

The game is a coin op. Don't tell me its sim IT IS NOT. its arcade basketball.
Even with ALL the strategy options that like calling state of decay a realistic game just because of the element it has going for it in its crop management LOL

So for all its worth is it fun...yes. Is it the best basketball game I've played no and do i hold hope for NBA Live 15? Not really I'm pretty dissapointed the team didn't even care about putting sliders and player editing back into the game

I really think this is what we should've got at launch but its still good that they got it to this point in the end. Mad at the roster, advertising it as one of your best features but it take weeks if not months for a roster update?!?! I want to know what EA's definition of one hour is. Also, the all-star lineups are not updated. Liking everything else about the update though.

I wonder if they are done patching, I know it's pretty ridiculous to say that when they just released this today, but it wouldn't hurt to try and fix a couple of these core game issues before the next installment.

If they add slider and player editing then yeah NBA Live 15 will be better i like the approach of physics based basketball rather than animation driven basketball

In the beginning i rated NBA Live 15 like a 4... after the updates and countless small updates leading to this title update i give it a solid

6.5

NO sports game WITHOUT sliders OR reg player editing should EVER be given any higher because it truly doesn't let the player decide what is SIM..this game feels HANDED to me at some times and i just don't like that

I'm starting to think they don't know how to fix the bugs without completely scraping everything.

But I agree with all of that. Adding their broken online system into play, I'm just not as excited as I was before.

Rosters are still messed up. Asik is still starting

Online gameplay is still at PS2 lag-levels

I'm tired of repeating the same thing all the time lol, but I'm completely dumbfounded as to how they got away with these crappy servers in 2014.

Basically the Bugs/Glitches thread was a bunch of wasted typing....and no matter how much any of us love the game, it's not something the community should stand for...

This random directional passing is nuts! What is this mess? I can't be the only one experiencing that...I am trying to kick the ball out and O am throwing the ball the complete opposite direction!
