Does anyone finally ask him about the horrible online gameplay and outdated rosters?

At work, can anyone put a summary of this up?

Yeah, I don't mind them having all guys healthy, I'd rather have it that way then having them injured like they are in the real game, but at least put the injured guys like Rose, Kobe on the bench. Get the starters right... In contrast, I don't like 2K's approach by having a roster with all the players, and the guys that are injured, they just lower their ratings. I hate being stuck with injuried players and decreased ratings.

I like injured players being available too, but since we cant manage rosters or lineup's it kind of messes it all up..

I want to set my team to auto sub without the CPU putting in DJ Augustine in the 4th quarter ahead of Derrick Rose...

even worse with the A.I, if you do the workaround and replace their starter, they will sub out and sometimes never return...

If they were going to remove managing rosters...the selling was supposed to be that they "kept the game fresh 24 hours after the real games take place"

Hasn't been done in the least. Taking out sliders\editing is never a good thing.

Yep. Needs serious modifications

Hello ...may have already been answered but where do u go to dl patch? thanks !
Last night I turned the game on and the Practice mode was an option ...played it a bit and had to stop

Live 14 is presently sitting at 150,000 copies sold globally between the PS4 and XBOX one. Do you guys think they'll make it to 200,000 copies before the season is completed? I wonder what the budget will be like for them in Live 15. I'm just not excited for their future basketball games unless they prove me wrong. It is like they are a crawling baby learning how to walk with the effort they put in from 2013 to 2014 on this game.

Text summary:

-- This "could be one of the last patches." "There is other stuff (dribbling, playbooks) we could possibly get to, but that decision is above me."

-- With these updates, "we're trying to do something that's never been done before, instead of just giving you a disc and then showing up next October." "The big thing for us with this patch was just to improve the flow of the game."

-- "Tutorials are something that should have been there from day one, but things happen." "We will definitely do a better job with Shootaround mode in NBA Live 15." "There are still things we need to tutorialize like post defense."

-- "We're not anywhere close to where we want to be with the dribbling system yet." "BounceTek is extremely powerful and revolutionary." "When you're working with new technology, the time to tune isn't always there."

-- "We believe the consumers who bought our game were the hardcore basketball fans."

-- "Morale is very high. We didn't pay too much attention to the early reviews when they came out. Most of them were very unfair. Their assumptions were made up on how the game looked visually." "Everybody's so emotionally driven, there's always that instant response, and it wouldn't be smart for any developer to jump on that and react."

-- "Our artists were just making the player faces on their own for NBA Live 14. There were no scans to work from."

-- "We may be doing another Twitch stream later this week." "Even though we aren't posting a lot, we are reading through Twitter and the Live forums looking for feedback. Keep posting and tweeting."

The lack of roster updating/editing is a bit frustrating. As a Bucks fan, the Nate Wolters player model is unacceptable (you can all see for yourselves) and Giannis looks very generic as well. This takes away from the experience for me.

So they expected people to shell out $500+ and want inferior visuals? They've been talking face scan of Tyson Chandlers mangly beard since Elite 11, to now not having face scans & artists freelancing by hand, but disregard early reviews because they halfhearted cut corners in the 1st place?

Yeah right~~ that's a slap in the face to everyone who said the visuals/animations were bad, & they apologize & patch visuals later? They must think we gamers are stupid & gullible. Sean O'Brien apologized 3 days after release. it wouldn't be smart for any developer to jump on that and react. 3 days.... .

As for the update, I thought NBA Live 14 was fun to begin with (pre-patch) and with the update it's now a better playing experience overall. I really appreciate their efforts, but at the same time I don't get why they can't fix the very simple things.

I SMH when I read that he said this. Honestly I did not take him seriously after that interview he had with Franchisesports on youtube calling people who were not satisfied with this game Nerf gamers. Live 15 is their last shot at redemption, so lets see if they are going to put up or shut up for good.

Not digging the practice mode camera at all... Don't suppose there is anyway to change camera angles?

# 156 NimaAkaJoJo @ 02/11/14 06:22 PM
I'm on X1 and since I downloaded the update, the game won't show me how many updates after downloading the roster.

I go to Team Management > Rosters > and press Y Download Roster

It says "Downloading Roster Data: 100%" - and then closes after 3 sec.

Anybody els seeing this too?

They might be adjusting the synergy and roster updates so it updates as promised in their statements.

# 157 MCSavage @ 02/11/14 06:29 PM
Am I the only one who completely hates the gameplay after the patch? 2 out of 3 passes end up being involuntary double passes. I have tested and it has nothing to do with how long you hold the pass button or which way the player is facing. The second pass usually goes to the most tightly guarded player on my team and half the time ends up stolen.

Also I am seeing ALOT more of the post-up spin move. Just finished beating the Bobcats with Pistons, 98-86. 74 of Bobcats' 86 points were from the paint.

I wonder if I could somehow downgrade to the previous patch? I can live without slightly washed out graphics.

VERY poor effort.

VERY disappointing.

Since when is changing the lighting slightly been considered a 'patch'? That is a 'tweak' and it's a disgrace these guys are going around high fiving themselves all over twitter like they really achieved something.

NO gameplay issues were fixed:

CPU TIME OUTS = NO
LATE GAME AI = NO
Rosters = NO. Galinari still starts, he hasn't even played for a YEAR.
if you play season mode, CPU never subs its players if you use manual subs yourself. I like to make my own subs, but I can't because that means the cpu makes NONE.
Players still passing to team mates standing out of bounds = NO.
Missing players faces = NO.
"Generic point guard" = NO. I just tried a rewind game vs the Kings where Cousins didn't play and there is the 5 foot generic point guard at center. WTF!

Disgraceful effort. You people supporting these guys because they put a slight lighting polish on a dramatically poor game are NOT helping the cause here. EA needs to be accountable. This is NOT a patch, it fixes basically NONE of the key issues and their "daily roster updates and player art updates" promised pre release are non existent. Any developer team with ANY pride would have at the very least fixed the time out issue.

Passing glitch is frustrating. Computer controlled Hardon thunder dunks every time down the court. Dribbling still not one for one like the competition.

Totally agree with you. I went to the NBA Live 14 Facebook page earlier today and was disgusted by the praises the Live team were getting for this over-hyped update. I'm not a fan-boy to any of these basketball games, but I always give credit to the better game and Live is definitely not the better game. That interview with Scott O' Gallagher zapped all my confidence in them for Live 15. How many times are they going fail until they finally get it right? Your game is far from being respectable so be a little more humble.
