Too bad the AI wasnt tweaked a bit. Not for difficulty, but for logic

I would almost swear that you and I have different games jyoung. Seriously, from day 1. I don't know what it is that is "right" on my game that's not on yours, but even prior to the update I was rarely seeing a "spin". I'm seeing ball movement, screens, cuts, plays ran.

First 6 points of the game against me, Pacers at Golden State. Look at the 1st one, Iggy brings the ball up, gets it to Steph, waits for the screen, as soon as they see even a bit of daylight, he's shooting. The next one was just insane, as I hadn't see anything that quick from him, but they're attacking:

I'm having a blast. Oh, and the very first possession of the game for the Warriors was a Steph Curry charge... Followed by the second possession, and David West And 1

I mean, it's nowhere near perfect, but I am wondering why we're having such different experiences.

Are you on PS4 or Xbox One? I am on PS4, and today is the first time I've encountered this "pass back" glitch.

I just tested it with all my other players on the court, and it definitely only affects the point guard for me. Maybe it's just certain NBA players who are glitched? I'm seeing it affect Jose Calderon and Steve Nash.

Maybe the mode of play might also have some impact on the bug showing up or not? I play Ultimate Team almost exclusively.

Taking a break from this for now. May jump back in, in a few hours. As mentioned before there are absolutely NO timeouts called in this thing. Unless you do it yourself, you won't see a single timeout from either side here. The only time subs come in is during dead balls, which you'll get plenty since this is still NBA Live: Block Party Edition.

First two games I played were both tonight's Denver/Indiana matchup since I wanted to see if two different games would produce completely unique experiences. Both times Denver attacked the paint relentlessly. For the entire first half of the first game I swear to you they didn't attempt ONE jumpshot. Not one.

There's still some warping for CPU defenders to stay in front of you. Witnessed that as I tried to get to the baseline with George Hill and Ty zapped in front of him after I got the step on him.

Pace is still too slow IMO. There are times that I want to push the ball up court and I'm forced to take that slow dribble up court instead. The pressure I put on the stick should dictate whether I walk or run up court, not some invisible force.

I mentioned before though, I was satisfied with my shot timing. The shootaround makes a ton of difference as far as that's concerned.

Has ea explained why the CPU never calls timeouts or subs?? No way did they not know about this!!

That could be part of the reason why we see different stuff. I wonder if playbooks and player tendencies are tougher to account for where there's no "designed" plays for your assembled groups?

Nope, but they are aware of it.

Hate to be so negative, but I would be shocked if they address that issue with us. I guess you can say they've "Turned a deaf ear" on this subject. I was really looking to this being fixed.

Some things just can't go missing in sports games and no excuses can be made to justify.

All teams are still assigned a coach, even in Ultimate Team:

Spoiler

Since the playbooks in this game are tied to the coaches, that means Ultimate Teams will use whatever set plays and playing tendencies are currently assigned to their coach.

So we might see another patch??

I don't know if it's the same as what your running into jyoung, but I was having an issue after I inbound....if I had turbo held down the PG would pass it randomly upon release...doesn't happen much any more though

Very disappointed that A.I wasn't tweaked. I appreciate practice mode and the additional crispness to passing but man....the A.I should've been higher on the priority list...that and defense..

Now looking back and hearing that practice mode was a "massive undertaking"....makes me wish core issues would've been the focus instead...

I hope so.. I really wanna see some more fouls and TO's, out of bounds calls.. all the little things the game is missing. Which will most def make the game flow much better. I just don't get why they didn't fix these issues instantly.. I know for sure, that they are aware of it.. Just wasn't their priority.

Roster editing should have been a given . Guess not tho. Not to mention the absence of sliders!

I noticed that bug today for the first time as well on PS4. It's different than the bug that I mentioned earlier, but equally annoying.

Like you said, whenever you inbound the ball to your point guard, he will sometimes immediately turn and throw the ball downcourt as soon as he catches the inbound pass.

There is definitely some weird stuff going on under the hood with the point guard position at the moment.

Yeah posted that when I went on a huge run and the CPU never called TO. Hopefully they can get it fixed soon. With no timeouts and lack of fouls, subs hardly ever get in the game.

I'm on Xbox one and it was in rising star mode. my player is a shooting guard

I also play exclusively on all star. as for timeout I never see any called but you know what I like it that way. theres no need for a computer to regroup and any substitutions happen on dead balls such as fouls, timeouts and turnovers. if I need a timeout I call it.

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH A LACK OF TIMEOUTS, I ACTUALLY PREFER IT!

# 57 GisherJohn24 @ 02/10/14 05:11 PM
Does CPU make subs?

# 58 WTF @ 02/10/14 05:16 PM
They make subs, they just don't call timeouts to make the subs. Subs will only take place during dead ball situations, or if you call a timeout, or at the start of a period.

I'm gonna broadcast some gameplay later tonight if anyone is interested.
