one thing i will say about post defense: if you have a good post defender and are playing on the xb1 it is a lot easier. since the triggers vibrate independently you sometimes get a little warning shake in the direction the ballhandler is about to go (only in the post). it doesnt happen every time and its rare if the man youre controlling is not a good post defender but it is very helpful when it happens.

just played another game, rockets(me) vs spurs. it was much better however it was still 11,339. maybe a fresh restart of the game helps, maybe there's better data on the teams involved, or maybe because I wasn't trying to chuck with k.d. but it played better. I've just adjusted my post defense. when in the post I no longer use the "post defense" I wrestle until my man gets the ball and I just back off and then play the angles that way. until I can get in and out of the post defense animation seamlessly this is going to have to work. it also has the added benefit of not letting the CPU ball handler do that old man super spin. the game ran much more fluidly today. I don't know what it is but some days this game plays good and some days (like yesterday) it plays worse than when it first dropped

The game has a learning curve, yes. We have had one basketball game for 3 years, there’s unlearning to do, yes….but it’s more than that, the game has some serious ironing out to do that goes beyond “playing better”, which will hopefully be covered in the patch….until then, let’s call a zit on the next door neighbors face a zit….won’t change the way you feel about her, right?

You're right (24th). Sorry, but the "prom queen" is the only thing we have to benchmark against. I should amend the prom queen stance (especially after the last NG update), to her having visited the doctor to get "better" and warranting at least another date.
Fun is ultimately where you find it, and currently its 'next door' for me, because of the sour taste of dissatisfaction left after buying into the pre-release over-hype.
I still get PMs from online friends saying "NBA Live??" and I understand why.
Live definitely has its own documented issues for sure, but for me, for the most part, it has exceeded the low expectations set by the initial low reviews for me. 2015 will hopefully be much more impressive one across the board for both.

I just had a game that if I would have had a physical copy of the disc I probably would have broken it. so I'm playing a game nyk (me) vs. Indiana in Indiana. everything is going good for me I'm running plays alternating post UPS between stat, and Melo, then sprinkling some elbow options for Jr smith where I can catch and shoot, wait for the screen from my big, or hit Melo for his catch and shoot in the corner. the offense is flowing, I'm playing solid D I go into halftime up 19. then the video game script reared its ugly head.
I start the second half and the first play George hill just warps by everyone force field pushes chandler back and two hand dunks the ball. strange I could live with it though, I'm up 17. then as I'm bring the ball up, I pick one of my plays to run and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS! what! maybe its a glitch, after having to force up a bad shot with raymond Felton, I come down David west posts up from 17 feet out does the super man spin, dunks with two hands. now I'm starting to suspect that something is up. I come down try to run a play for stat and the team sets up into the WRONG PLAY! WTF!! I end up turning the ball over because I was waiting to see what the play is going to develop to and the A pops up over the next man overs head. Felton then throws a pass 5 feet over his head that sails out of bounds. the pacers then come down Paul George is dribbling dribbling dribbling and hit a contested fall away three pointer! SCRIPTED! so I come down inbounds the ball dribble to half court Melo is on the wing, the defender is about 3ft away, I go to pass the ball to Melo and about a quarter of the way there Melo and the balls trajectory both seemingly warp 3 steps out of bounds!! WHAT! So now I'm playing D, determined not to give in I figure the game is just making it interesting so ill deal with it, then danny granger pulls out a double clutch dunk on Melo and chandler as if he's knees haven't been devastated in the last two years. and 1 while shooting freethrows the subs come in. after 3 plays I can't take it, I call time out the pacers went on a 19- 0 run, this is the same team I was just dogging in the first half! I score a couple times down with the go to cheese move euro step with Melo and a superman spin move with him, then the CPU subs iman shumpert at point smh I look down Pablo prigioni is at the 4!! lmao I can't even be mad anymore. shoo Indians ends up winning by 9 and every time I sub the correct lineups every dead ball they sub there bull sh!t line up back in. I can no longer see play art for any plays so I'm forced to run a makeshift offense the rest of the game.. fake fake fake. smh if only you guys could have heard me yelling at the game

speaking of the post spin, how do you do it? same as in previous lives?
Also, im not sure I understand the difference between executing the crossover and hesitation...it seems to be the same direction for both moves on the RS

I've had numerous unrealistic experiences similar to this as well playing this game. The game plays like basketball, but its nothing special. Live 14 is also riddled with logic from past games that do not make any sense. They better hope this big patch impresses the people who are playing the game. I still cannot believe they still have players moving like robots on next gen. Ignite Engine is a bust to me until proven wrong.
Played today for the first time in a bit and was having a lot of fun. I really do love the more methodical pace and how beating your man with a signature dribble plays out. Played a challenge, quick game, then this BS happened in Ultimate Team
I had just hit a three to get that lead. Real nice back-and-forth fun game and sdfnhuiavn;av dammit. Pressing X sent me back to the menu showing me my non-result. Just sucks how these online requirements affect single player gameplay. And for the record, I didn't lose Internet, these images were uploaded instantly to twitter

Is it me or is the defensive stance button pretty counter productive. I seem to be able to stay in front of guys just as well without it.

Even if the button response was 1:1 with what you were seeing on screen, you'd still run into issues with people abusing all the gather moves for cheap buckets.

Re: ifitbeginsitends It's just something that is a part of video games unfortunately, especially sports video games. Scripting, cheating whatever you want to call it. The CPU will do whatever they want to do at times. I just ask for the proper tools to combat it...which is why I will always be an advocate for sliders...
Does the retail copy have more animations ? I've been fooling around with the demo and feel that I've seen every animation after a few games....same dunks, lay ups etc.
