Just messing around after this, it's pretty easy to duplicate...for me at least...it's like if the AI PG comes down court and doesn't see 5 players in front them, nothing "clicks" and they run whatever they are going to run without taking the defense into consideration....it also happens if you cheat extra hard with a cross court player...kind've like the Heat do...which is why they give up some many open corner 3's...except there isn't really any danger that the penetrator will kick to the man in the corner because the game won't recognize them as open...I can't quite call the AI revolutionary yet with some simple logic like this missing....hopefully they look into it..

That's happening one to many times, Just last night with the game on the line Chris Bosh had the ball at the top of the 3 point line with 19 seconds left.. held the ball in one spot and threw up an air ball at the buzzer.. But you know what.. I cant complain because they have fixed a large amount of problems with more fixes on the way.. I Believe in NBA LIVE .. I think Im going to start a movement.. We are all witnesses of what will be a true basketball sim. (IM A WITNESS)

Post play seems better, under the rim dunks are smoother and not bungie cord like any more.. if they keep paying attention to the small details this game can easliy sit at the same table with 2k.. YES I SAID IT! they do need more options for post play, like a skilled center or power forward who has an arsenal of moves. I have One question.. where does the IGNITE engine come into play? I thought the crowd would be more animated ...dont get me wrong they did a great job.. but some are synced like the crowd movements are choreographed.. they should be more FIFA like IMO. Also the ball dissapears into the stands instead of the crowd interacting with it.tehy would be great to see players falling into camera men and crowds like they do in EVERY single NBA game I have ever watched..

I go into mixtape, check some tracks off, next time I start the game, those songs aren't checked anymore... anybody else?
Picked Live up yesterday, played it for a few hours last night.
-Doesn't seem like there are many fouls. Even with all the foul sliders maxed at 100, seems the only way I can draw contact is off the drive (holding R2). Also seems like there's not enough contact in the paint in general.
-Starting to get the hang of the dribbling system. I actually got half-decent at sizing up and breaking down the defender while stationary.
-CPU seems somewhat balanced. Feeding passes into the low block is still the go-to move, but they worked the ball around and even threw up a few contested Js from the perimeter.
-The controls actually felt decent. Basically what I remember from Live 10.
-Of course there are the issues that everyone has complained about (no sliders, 30 FPS when using baseline camera, generic dudes in the Live Season mode...)
Those are just some initial half-baked impressions, I obviously need more time with the game. There's definitely some potential here, though obviously tons of flaws. The weird thing about EA Basketball games is that they have a way of growing on you with extended play time.

Haven't played in about a week but this is the type of game that is set up for weekly impressions thanks to the synergy and the way i guess EASports is now handling those attributes and animation triggers with it.
Right off the bat i see something different. lighting. i know i know not an animation per say but i swear that horrible GLOSS that the players skin would have giving player models this ugly 'sheen" is almost gone. players skins look more "matte" which is good because ANY bit of realism HELPS
That said.
I found a NEW way to play
I mention din my previous thread about gameplay setting through coaching options but now all this game needs universally is this setting and you have a VERY different game even after the 3rd patch
Just adjust THESE settings FOR all teams and leave other at whatever default
Defense:
On Ball pressure - Tight
Off ball Pressure - Tight
Offensive rebound Tactic- Crash boards
Tempo - Push
Game Difficulty - ROOKIE (believe it)
Auto motion calling - AUTO
What I noticed is that WE WANT the animations to come out so forcing them out with TIGHT,Crash Boards and Push helps ELIMINATE those ugly animations.
Game difficulty at Rookie HELPS the CPU ACT more realistic and be able to miss shots when even they're open(as any high difficulty they just SWISH IN)
Also as an impression the foot planting in this game is GREAT its JUST like Madden's true step and to be opinionated here looks a lot better than 2k's sadly.
Yes there might warping but the run animations are real good in transition for me.
Give these settings a try WTF

I'm hesitant to try out anything
I'm one of the few guys that the game hasn't broken down for I guess.
With that said, I'll let 32 post his findings and I'll probably try to get these tried over the weekend. I've got a playdate with my 2 little ones in a few minutes to give mommy some relaxation time.

I wanted to add my brief NBA Live 14 story...
I bought the PS4 around Thanksgiving where I instantly purchased NBA 2K14 as I was amazed by the graphics. Before playing 2K, I downloaded the Live 14 demo and within minutes turned it off (and deleted it). I really believed at that time that it was terrible.
However, I began to become fed up with the other game as I am mostly an offline gamer and the lack of modes, the overall lack of polish, as well as roster updates led me to start following the Live forums where I started to hear good/great things, and really enjoyed looking at the screenshots (they looked better then I previously remembered from the demo).
I purchased the game last week for $39.99 on Amazon and re-downloaded the demo while I waited for the full game. I actually really enjoyed playing the demo the second time. Once I got my full copy and downloaded the 3 game updates I immediately noticed a huge difference. The graphics I really believe are top notch and I absolutely love the player models as I think they really portray the slim body types of many NBA players. After I settled on a difficulty setting and played some games I'm in love with this game! By far my favorite next gen game and I cannot put it down.
I realize this wasn't much of an impression, but for any of you who are currently on the fence I highly encourage you to give this game a try as I think many sports gamers would really enjoy it. I may be in the minority but I would give this game a solid 8.5 out of 10 in its current state.

Tried those sliders on rookie Tomba and the game was just way too easy, I was up 30 at halftime...I'll try them out on Pro or All Star...it was pretty cool not seeing as much paint spam though,.must be a higher difficulty thing...

I play a lot of head-2-head games with friends and family. Has EA said anything/can anyone confirm if they're going to address this hopstep? With a lot of the deals out there and gift cards I received for Christmas this would be almost free. And impressions in here have intrigued me to want to give the retail an extended shot on my own PS4. But I just can't do it with this move as is.

Ok Tomba you may be on to something. Just lost by 4 to the Rockets. Howard and Parson did the most damage to me.
I did not see one spinning or forcing baseline animation ALL game. I think the tight on ball pressure has a lot to do with the animations playing out. The CPU tried that move and once they were stopped they kicked it out and tried something else.
The CPU did push the ball every time down the court so maybe the teams that don't push the ball need not be on that setting.
The crash board setting was also noticeable. Maybe the combination of Howard and Asik against Barganni (spelling) and Melo was the reason, but is couldn't keep them off the offensive glass.
The Rockets also didn't shot a lot of 3's which isn't the way they play.
I'll play again, but I did like the way it played.
Hers the stats.

SO AWESOME!
I KNEW it played a much btter "shooting' game and by "shooting game i mean exactly what you said (kicking it out etc)
Yeah i KNOW Rookie sounds crazy but this game is really just ttwo shakes from a lambs tale of being nab street nab jam sadly but that setting KILLS the cpu always making the shot and IF you play sim you ant be scoring at will that YOU OVER doing it and playing arcade. so what I'm trying to say is this
rookie
tight
crash boards
and then...
and then...
player ratings shooting NOT player skill(cuz you'll nail it too much with timing)
