Just checked on the defense. As long as I'm holding L2, and in the shooters space, 90% of the time it'll auto contest.

EDIT: It would be fantastic if while they are adding in animations they add in defensive animations at the rim, I think that'd get me back into the game at least...game really reminds me of 2k13 in that aspect...just not enough counters to defend the basket...
I definitely agree with everything you said, especially the steal delay, but in terms of like hitting the ball for a block or steal and not hitting it sort of thing, it's IMO better than 2K. No matter how ugly the animation it will always either be hit or miss. I had one play in 2K(hate to bring the other game up again) where I went for the steal are hit NOTHING but I got called for the foul. His arm was like a foot away from the ball carrier. In Live, that never happens which is what my original point was. The ball won't "magically" be hit lose when I don't even touch it.

Dirk, Ive seen a shooting foul called for swiping at the ball with no contact in Live 14.

Never seen one, they either hit the players hand or leg for me. I always go into replay mode if I'm unsure if something like that happened or not and they always do hit a body part. Did you go into replay or just see it from a gameplay perspective? I know it looks like they didn't touch anything but when you go into replay you see they did hit something.

Let's keep the thread on what Live does and not what 2k doesn't, or vice versa. Thanks.

Also, I love the playoffs presentation. Wish they did the entire starting 5.

WTF, have you noticed my thread "What happened to game atmosphere?" If not, I discuss the fact that my game atmosphere option has disappeared completely. I cannot select playoff atmosphere because the option does not exist for me. I really loved the option for the time that I had it and am hoping it will return for me soon. Anybody like EASPORTS_AJ that can maybe send a word to the devs would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what would have happened. For whatever reason, I thought about it today, I hadn't played that kind of game yet. I picked Spurs vs Pacers in San Antonio, went to settings and selected Playoffs. It came up with the commentary talking about how it was Game 7, Starting Lineup pics were different, and then introduced Tony Parker. It was slick. It was there for me earlier. I'm not sure man.

I can't wait to get back home to finish my game. I had to leave it paused, just starting the 4th quarter. Probably the best game that I've played yet. Stats (other than fouls) were spot on, and it was just a great experience. I couldn't get anything going shooting wise with PG, but he was doing everything else, nearing a triple double after 3 quarters, 13 points, 8 assists, 9 rebounds. I need to finish that one out.

Well it suddenly showed up for me and I'm hoping that's a permanent thing. Too many times have I seen it pop up and I get all excited and it's gone the next second. I do agree the presentation is very slick. The graphics actually look very nice with the lights dimmed. Just wait until you see the championship trophy presentation, it's amazing, so don't press X or A at the end.

I don't know what it is was today, but when I was playing a game online earlier, the fast breaks actually looked good.

Players immediately began running and it didn't feel like I was fighting the game. And there was a lot more contact around the rim.

However, I think they need to tone down the 3 point sliders. Keep seeing guys hitting contested 27 footers every game.

Just finished my NBA finals game. Im uploading the final 3 or 4 minutes. Awesome game. I have several highlight clips from this one. 2 straight possessions were crazy back and forth fast breaks. Like above, the fast break game was on point in this game.

3 point fg's I held them to 9-26 3PT for 34%.

It was an all around phenomenal game. I can't say enough about it. There were 2-3 plays where I felt like I got away with a cheap basket (David West walked/traveled). Everything else was on point though.

I can't tell you how many bank shot I saw from Duncan. Ginobli and Parker were killing me off the dribble.

@wtf any word if we will be able to edit rosters or get some slider adjustments?

# 673 WTF @ 12/24/13 08:44 PM
No word my man, no word. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. They know where it stands on the OS priority list for sure.

@WTF: you play a 12-minute quarter? at what level of difficulty you play?

# 675 GisherJohn24 @ 12/24/13 09:09 PM
I played with the pacers in an Eastern Conference finals game today against the Bucks. Was amazed how much fun I had. Very realistic stats across the boards. Hibbert went nuts on rebounds and blocks. Just like he really wood. George went nuts from 3.

# 676 WTF @ 12/24/13 09:22 PM
louie dogs, I play 12 minute quarters, on Pro/Default difficulty. I've made no changes to playbooks or otherwise.

I'm downloading the 9 minute movie from facebook, and uploading to youtube of my Spurs/Pacers 4th quarter. I've not watched it, to see what I play like, but I did pull out the win in the end.

I often playing with it I realized that it is a nice game to play but a bit 'less to look at, but honestly the reviews were really too heavy I do not know if they were made before the patch but all of the votes really took that **** to me does not deserve, at the moment I'd give it a 6.5 / 7 because unfortunately graphically in so many things is not keeping up with the competition, but to someone like me who has loved nba live 10 can only say welcome back to a historical series of nba basketball

# 678 nick_sr @ 12/24/13 09:41 PM
so, does anyone notice that players are dribbling the ball before they shoot free throws now? watching cpu vs cpu gp between the knicks/thunder and I noticed it. wasn't in the game before

# 679 WTF @ 12/24/13 09:49 PM
Yeah, the reviews that you read are well before the changes that the game has underwent. I thought upon release, the game was near unplayable. But each week that passes, they have made substantial strides under the hood to bring this title up to par.

The graphics I actually like. I wish that all players were the same level of detail. Hopefully that'll be coming with the face scans/etc. John Wall, Kyrie, etc, I really like the way they're modeled. Paul George on the other hand, needs some work. But like I said, hopefully that stuff is coming.

The game itself though, is what I'm looking for. It's a fun, competitive game of NBA basketball. It doesn't feel scripted, it feels natural. I can handle getting my behind handed to me, but I want it to be fair. This game has that detail nailed in my opinion.

I'll be posting a few clips hopefully shortly.

Here's one:

I love that seemless transition from dribble to jumper. It just feels really good in game.

I did not mean graphically players (in my opinion anyway improvable) but some of the movements that I think are poorly made, in particular blocks
