Now how you get to that point to even input the code, i have no idea. Lol..i have no idea this is true. I can't try till late tonight. Hopefully one of you will figure it out if it is yes or no sooner.

This is only an option for the 360 to XB1 version. Shame on the Gamestop employee for not knowing this.

I'm enjoying it so far. Played one half and definitely noticed a bigger difference in running with the new true step feature. I had to go to work unfortunately and was wondering if they fixed the QB sim stats or not.

True shame...because they would have got money out of me. I will get it somewhere else on principal now

This is beyond INFURIATING to me. How many years is it going to take, EA? Year after year after year. And you want constructive non bashing criticism? "We are listening to the community." Sure you are. This kind of crap has been in this game for at least 4 or 5 years now and there are 4 or 5 years of constructively criticizing posts that have ONCE AGAIN been ignored. More smoke and mirror nonsense. Over it.

What is it going to take? Who on the dev team is FINALLY going to say "enough is enough"? Who on the dev team is FINALLY going to realize that no matter what improvements are made to game that this type of stuff trumps ALL OF THEM? 59 minutes and 45 seconds of good game play and 15 seconds of the same ridiculous artificial UNintelligence that has been in this game for years can suck the life out of the game. What interviewer/web site/game changer/pod cast is going to sack up and flat out ask any developer about this and NOT let them dance around the answer with marketing BS?

Next Gen=More Calculations=Better AI. Seems like someone must have called off on the day they were "improving the late game AI".

Ridiculous.

As a HUGE fan of the NFL that has been playing Madden since the days of Madden '92, I felt compelled to offer up my impression.

Let me start off by saying that I was really on the fence about this game. Though the limited amount of information available seemed somewhat positive, I still had a very bad taste in my mouth from the first time I popped in Madden '06 into my new (at the time) X-Box 360 and fired up a game. Easily the biggest gaming letdown I've ever had.

Ironically, I remember seeing the initial advertisements for Madden on the PS2 when it was set to launch, which sold me on getting a PS2 system at launch. And Madden didn't disappoint me that year.

Coming back to this Next-Gen release, I was cautiously optimistic to say the least. As I put in the disc and fired up a game (my Seahawks against those dreaded Niners), I could immediately see the graphical differences. Seeing Russell Wilson's face through his facemask made me laugh as it did actually look like Russell.

Fast Forward...after the 1st quarter, the score was 0-0. Ironically enough, it seemed to play out a lot like the Niners/Hawks games. Both offenses moved the ball somewhat between the 20's via the run with a punt for each team. I found myself thinking "Damn, that actually was fun".

In the interest of time, I stopped the game at half (score was 7-7) and loaded a new game with two new teams to get a better feel (this time it was Broncos vs. Chiefs).

Broncos offense was fun to play with, but the Chiefs pass rush was causing me ALOT of issues, which forced me to move to the short passing game. What surprised me was that Decker, Thomas and Welker were getting NOTHIGN after the catch. Anything they caught, they were immediately tackled. Also, the draws and off tackles runs with Knowshon Moreno were fun to run, though minimally effective.

All-in-all, this is actually the most fun I've had playing Madden since probably 2005. While I think EA Tiburon has a ways to go to catch up with the likes of SCEA (MLB: The Show) and 2K (NBA 2K14), they now have something to build on.

Here's some Pros and Cons I thought about...

Pros:
DB interaction was definitely more enjoyable.
Sideline plays were surprisingly realist (had one where Champ Bailey fought off a block to shove the RB out of bounds and then stared him down).
Running game seems more natural and fluid.
3D Crowd looks much, much better
Commentary seems much better and more fluid.
Pass Rush effectiveness - you really have to be aware of what the defense is doing, if the blitz comes, you MUST account for it.

Cons:
Player models still need to be re-done (IMO)

Running animations should be re-done. These guys are World-Class athletes, the game should reflect that.

Tackling Animations - The weight and momentum of the players needs to be accounted for.

BRING BACK HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE - would be great if they build upon the Living Worlds and places like CenturyLink and Arrowhead went into a frenzy when opposing offenses are on the field. I used to LOVE the Home Field advantage feature in NCAA where routes and plays would become blurred and young players may run incorrect routes.

Accurate Player edits - Whoever is doing the rosters for Madden is seriously slacking. In just the two games I played, I found two pretty marquee players who look NOTHING like themselves. Maybe I'm just a bit anal about this, but Golden Tate is dark skinned and Jamaal Charles is light-skinned. WTF! How hard is it to get the skin tone correct on a player. The worst thing is, I CAN'T GO AND EDIT THEM MYSELF!

Also, Madden has had the same player accessories for the better part of four years. These guys look like they are still wearing the Reebok branded NFL Equipment. Now that were are into Next-Gen consoles, there's no more excuse for this by ANY sports game (go look at everything offered up in NBA 2K).

I really hope EA doesn't revert back to their old ways of minimal changes and non-desired features. As someone mentioned earlier, this could be a great game in two years if they focus on the right things.

Funny, after playing Madden, I popped in NBA 2K14 and was absolutely blown away. As good as that game is visually, the gameplay is equally as good and in some ways exceeds the visuals.

We KNOW SCEA is gonna come strong with MLB: The Show on Next-Gen this March, so EA...it's time for you to start competing.

I'm streaming right now, link is in sig, I'm in default all madden with slow game speed. Trying out cameras mostly

Zoom cam seems nice, wide is a little bit too zoomed out for me, trying broadcast now

Started a offline CFM with the NY Football Giants (default CFM rosters).

I went with All-Madden, Normal Speed, with 50 sliders across the board except for intentional grounding (set at 75). I played at 12 minute quarters with 15 second accelerated clock run-off.

Played regular season week 1 against the Cowboys. Romo was injured and Orton was in at QB. Orton looked like Orton; immobile, accurate, weak arm, but a guy good at checking down. He went 23 -35 for 272 yards (1 TD and 1 INT). Murray opened up the game with a 75 yard TD run, but only carried 9 more times after that for a total of 97 yards. Witten killed me with 9 catches for 125 yards.

Eli went 19 - 33 for 229 with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Wilson was decent, going for 92 yards on 22 attempts (4.2 average). The defense put major pressure on Orton, accruing 7 sacks (lead by 4 by DT Linval Joseph).

In the end, the Giants pulled out a 24-17 win on the road. It was as realistic a game as I have ever played on any system.

Other thoughts:
  • BIG THING: I would be cautious playing on slow speed....it seems like it slows down AI "thinking" as well as the animations on the field. I started out at slow speed for this game and the Cowboys' Offense seemed like they were sleepwalking through the game.
  • The menus are so much faster....seriously, this was my biggest peeve about Old Gen. For me, it is almost worth the money just to have that fixed.
  • Penalties seem to 'work' the same as Old Gen
  • Not having luck getting good substitutions.
  • The running game and line play felt fantastic. A bit worried about the sacks I accrued, but aside from their LT, their O-line sucks so I am just going to keep playing to see what happens down the road.
  • I saw lots of nice catches and animations throughout, I sometimes forgot I was playing a game.
Well, all in all, I am very pleased so far and plan on playing through this CFM to see how it goes.

Though this is a thread on Madden 25 Next-Gen and it keeps getting brought up, NBA 2K14 is really THAT good. I think it's the clear Gold Standard now for Sports gaming.

Nothing would make me happier to see Madden get to that same point in quality, visuals, gameplay and presentation in the not too distant future.

NBA Today integration, Sprint Halftime Show and the Doris Burke halftime and postgame interviews (which I thought I'd hate) are all fantastic.

And this is coming from someone who hates the NBA (since the Oklahoma Zombie Sonics left Seattle).

Would love to see Madden incorporate multiple broadcasts and announce teams. They have the licenses to do it and also have commentary audio from Al Michaels and Collinsworth, Gus Johnson and now Simms and Nantz.

I just keep thinking about the use of Home Field Advantage...how awesome would it be to take your favorite team into a hostile playoff venue that starts off the game with the crowd going nuts, then be rewarded from solid play throughout the game, quiet the crowd and come away with a victory.

Would feel like you really had to earn it.

Yeah, I'm watching your stream and slow looks about the pace of normal speed on 360/ps3. Doesn't look as sped up and jerky.

What sliders are you using for it? Have you adjusted them yet?

FINALLY home and unboxed. Playing now. I'm stoked. Very Happy. Game is awesome. Gonna keep it short so I can get back to the game, just had to drop in and tell everyone.

OK guys not trying to sound like i have a huge woody right now but WOW! i haven't even finished my 1st madden game on my new PS4 and i can totally tell night and day difference! EA really did push this to be out for nexgen. Lighting is fantastic, true step is awesome! and a lot more realistic, details are really there now, sound on my surround sound system is 10x better, no more gay static looking towels(actually flow with the players) And the game play is a notch up from current gen. My only gripe is with a few new face masks options so far and how wacky they look. NOW yes next years madden will and should be FAR better then madden25 but for now i am happily pleased with nexgen football.

Can you post some footage of the game on Zoom Cam angle? Is the Zoom Cam the same angle as the current gen madden? Thanks

The pocket is a thing of beauty.
Love the way the ball carrier feels when running
Everything is more fliud and smooth (no herky jerky)
DE so fun to use coming off the edge

Cut scenes
No halftime or post game show
EA Please fix J. Charles because he would be pissed if he only knew

Right now it's CPU vs CPU broadcast cam, do u want me to post videos of zoom cam or stream zoom cam?

It's all madden default, slow gsme speed

The gsme is not bad, not bad at all. Detailed impressions later. PM me requests

Note: Play on All-Madden with default sliders for this quick play now half.

1) Running is much more realistic and seems more fluid and life-like. The running game is a huge improvement.

2) Man coverage appears to be fixed where your slot was always open on the out route.

3) DB's seem smarter so if you run consecutive curls with your 1 and 2 WR the db will actually jump the route and pick it off. Also stop and go routes are more effective if you run a few curls.

4) The pocket forming is very nice compared to current gen.

5) It is much more realistic getting pressure, you can actually blitz 7 and get pressure every time as opposed to the blitzing lb getting hung up behind a tackle blocking a defensive player already.

6) The graphics are actually a noticeable improvement (couldn't tell from streams). The pictures displayed early were of replays and you can actually see that level of detail if you zoom in. The game play looks a little better than current gen but I wouldn't say it's a lot better but there is definitely a noticeable improvement.

7) Defense is actually competent now. I was hardly ever stopped on current gen and on next gen I put up 7 in a half as the Eagles vs the Titans.

8) A good defensive end overpowers a mediocre lineman
Exactly how i feel man. Im not online player.. just pure sim and pure fun is what i want and next gen madden on PS4 is actually delivering this to my big surprise. The running game is soooooo much more realistic now that i just cannot believe how much better it feels running the rock now.

The graphics ...while they do have the same type of "model" characteristics of current gen...the preview videos we've seen over the past month DO NOT DO THIS NEXT GEN MADDEN ANY JUSTICE! The graphics are definitely much MUCH better looking than what we been led to believe...maybe it was the terrible online streaming compression of videos used at Youtube and other online streaming services of Today's internet to save bandwidth and what not, just because you are streaming a 720p or 1080p video does not mean maximum quality of footage, a lot of people do not realize this, Youtube is notorious for dodgy HD video streaming these days, in the past Youtube was much better with HD streaming but economics is first priority these days...why EA allowed that to degrade the impressions of the look of their next gen game baffles me..because you MUST see this game in action on a HDTV in front of you to truly understand the big visual quality difference from current gen to next gen Maddens...i am VERY HAPPY with the graphics..although more should of been done but i am content this year.

The grass, sidelines, crowds, sounds, etc all have been nicely improved and make playing Madden much more fun if you can believe that...yes those visual and sound enhacments do make a big difference..as i always stated in OSForums since 2002. I got a kick out of how much the sidelines are "aware" when you are running the rock and get tackled into the sidelines..makes the game feel more alive and fun to play.

Oh yeah...the "lighting" in next gen madden is leaps and bounds better then current gen. The colors POP MUCH MORE now as well...in current gen the colors of the jerseys, crowds, etc all looked washed out and blurry...now they are very vivid and pop out at you..the green grass also looks greener..which i love! The color pallet in next gen madden reminds of of exactly NFL2k5..as much as i hate to bring that old game up..it did so much right with visuals and next gen madden finally exceeds that game now in the visual dept..thank goodness!

Anyways...after some hours of playing Madden on PS4...i must say i am a happy camper honestly. Sure i would of liked to see more improvements in some area's of gameplay and visuals but for what we got for a launch game on new systems...i am quite pleased.

The AI seems way more intelligent now on next gen. I don't get into details on gameplay elements too much because there is simply too much diversity between gamers when it comes to this. Personally the biggest issues i had on current gen as far as gameplay was the stupid AI in a lot of instances...it seems a LOT of that has been cleaned up and the AI is much MUCH more smarter playing.

By the way..DO NOT LISTEN TO THAT IDIOT IN THE IGN REVIEW..He is a one of those Madden Tourney guys...not that i am saying all madden turney guys are biased like him but "sim" football is like kryptonite to them..Seriously..that IGN video review WAS WRONG in a lot of ways..especially when he mentioned the running game was too sim now rotflmao!! Him saying that and a lot of other things left me scratching my head after hours of gameplay here at home. I do not understand how he also said the game only looks marginally better vs current gen... NO WAY! The game is doing so much more visually.. maybe he is "Graphic Effects" illiterate or something but i see much more graphics technology being used in next gen madden vs current gen. I am a long time member at Beyond3D.com ...we are a bunch of videogame graphic geeks there lol but to say next gen madden is only slightly better looking is BS!
