I didn't even know this penalty existed in Madden. Nice touch

Sorry for the late response; I am seeing completion % in the normal range, but I will check my CFM stats.

Alfred and RG3 are rushing the ball very well. There have been games where my O-line lets me down, but for the most part I do well when I stick with it.

Anyone else feel the difference when you're playing a Superstar QB and an average one? Yesterday I was playing the Broncos with the Eagles and Peyton torched me through the air for 525 yards, 5 TDs and no picks. If I didn't get pressure he'd destroy my secondary. For example we were up by 5 late in the 4th and the Broncos had the ball on their own 20 with 28 seconds left. The gameflow suggested Man Deep and that's what I did since it looked like they were in Hail Mary formation. Well 2 WR went down field on the left side and Welker ended up doing a cross route which completely caught me off guard, he hit him all the way down by our 40 and called a timeout WTF. I start freaking out and call Man, Peyton sees my stupid decision and doesn't even call a audible, Welker goes on a streak route and burns my DB for the TD smh. I couldn't believe how fast he got down field. Similar thing happened when I played RG3 but he threw a pick

All-Madden using GJD23's sliders. Actually this was the first game I played where we both went over 500 yards and 40+ points. I did use SuperSim though in the 4th quarter

Just started playing this today. Haven't really done much yet but really liking it so far. Hadn't bought it for PS3 so first experience with Madden 25. Will post more about it when I get more time into it later on.

This game is the bees knees. Normal speed is the way to go. Slow speed and very slow speed the AI gets dumb as hell and don't put much of a fight at all on offense and defense. True step is legit and deadly with a highly agile player. War in the trenches is legit as well. I saw some pretty nasty blocks and swim moves by elite linemen.

One can clearly tell when they have a good line or an average or bad line. There is a big difference how they perform on the field. I had my left tackle leave the game because he got hurt on a play, the 1st time ever I saw a lineman get injured in a Madden game. But anyway his back up was no where as good as the starter and it showed. He was getting mauled by the defensive end on passing plays and on running plays he couldn't open a hole to save his life.

I literally had to stop running to the left because of how bad he was and had to leave the RB in to help block to help him out. Blind side sacks is nothing nice in this game, I am surprised my QB didn't get whip lash, because he got blasted a few times.

When you have a good offensive line across the board though, the way they pick up blitzes and stunts is just plain SEXY. CPU can perform HB and WR screens very well. Very good open field blocking by your linemen and WRs. CPU RBs run the ball very good too. They use all their special moves too in one play. Especially the elite RBs, they aren't going down without a fight.

I find the option and QB scramble more real life like. Sometimes it works for a big gain, but most of the time only a 3 to 5 yard gain. But it is also highly dependent on the 2 teams playing. Vast improvement over last gen when you were able to get a 20 plus yard run on a read option or scramble all the time.

Zones actually work........Deep ball is defended well. At times it seems like they jump routes a little bit too good, but hey I can live with that. I actually see poor DBs get turned the wrong way on routes now, so that is nice to see them over play a route and get burned. It just nice to see a lock down corner, actually LOCK the WR down and nice to see a strong physical WR man handle a smaller weaker DB.

For once Madden have more positives then negatives. From a pure football stand point, this plays a very good game of football. Nice foundation they have built for this gen. Don't know who programmed the AI but that man or woman deserves a raise and a bonus.

They hit a home run with the AI.

1. Zones work
2. Pass rush work from the LE and RE
3. Fluid and organic pocket
4. Patty cake BS is eliminated

And yeah.....in game saves....

If you don't have the game, definitely pick it up on Black Friday. Worth buying.

Are the sliders completely jacked in this game? I have them so much in favor of the cpu but I'm getting a stupid amount of sacks. LIke where i'm not even happy when I get one anymore.

The LE is too dominant n o matter who is p[laying the position. THis was a problem in NCAA 14.

I know no one cares, but I've decided. Not keeping the game. I think the decision is as much emotional as it is technical. In short, when I get frustrated with the game, it's the same issues that reminds me of how much I loathe the current gen game.

Pros:

1. I'm pretty happy with the pass blocking decision making. The right guys are blocking the proper man. Big win in my opinion.

2. They have replaced the absolutely hideous run animations. Now they are just Ok. At worse, ugly, but passable.

3. Defenders do play zones better. Still WRONG in some cases. But a noticeable improvement.

These are the positives that stand out. The game has improved. No doubt. But there are still issues:

Cons:

1. I still can't get the right pass when I want it. If I want to float the ball over the outside shoulder on a 9 or 7 route, and I can't get the ball to AT LEAST get over the hook to curl defenders, I want to ****ing rage. Ball flight physics are still fake.

2. Pass and run blocking animation resolution still kill me. On defense, I can't play the game of leverage. I can't play ANY game. There is no do one move to setup the next. There are no tells to cue me to what move will work and when. I can't get my shoulder into the blocker and keep him there. There is no dance. I can't push my blocker and collapse the pocket or close a particular gap. This has always been a shortcoming of this game and it remains. Dope defensive linemen don't always have to make sacks. They control the lanes. They disrupt the run game AND the pass game. They make the tackle while a blocker is still engaged. I want this! One the opposite side, if my OL is going to lose, I should be able to tell why. Instead, a dude just "lets go" of the defender.

3. Presentation. This is next gen. Why in the hell are you still using the same presentation set? Pointless cuts to the head coach doing nothing with the exact same animations. You know, Marc Trestman walking like a bouncer. Guys taking air flavored Gatorade. Inactive players with full gear on. Same, stale, stilted commentary. Btw, there is NO excuse for the broadcast team to look as bad as they do. Which brings me to...

4. Graphics. **** is shinier. OK. That's pretty much it. The skin looks awful. God awful. And just because guys have helmets on, doesn't give you a pass on player likenesses! Especially if you're going to have the gall to pan to their faces! Field looks great. Crowd looks good from a distance. Up close? Ugh! Same tech! You guys can do glasses. I know you can. Yet, there are none. Or they are missing from many dudes that wear them. I normally dismiss trolls using hyperbole, but I'm dead serious when I say: I actually did feel like I was looking at a current gen game. Nice looking overall, but still current gen. That just means that the jump to next gen is not big enough. EDIT: PLAYER MODELS - same models. Same skeleton. Coaches still look like, again, bouncers. What's with those traps?! Ugh!?

5. It still feels, for lack of a better word, empty. Why didn't Beastmode feel like Beastmode? Why did he go down HARD to a solo tackle to a scrub corner that would never DARE try to tackle him head on. Why was AP tripped up on ONE foot? Why didn't I have that pinpoint precision with Drew Brees? Where is the fight for the ball that Marshall is GOING win? Plays still have no rhythm or timing. Still.

As you guys can tell, I'm a little crazy when it comes to football. I don't expect perfection. I do expect progress and I'm talking about industry wide. I Game A does it, I expect all of them to do it within 3 years. Since EA and the NFL have seen fit to make Madden the end all, be all, they need to match the quality of everything that has been done before it. It's been long enough. I'll take it on the chin for this term, but to all the idiots still giving EA a pass because it's good are the main problem. It's a good game. But for what it is and what it has some, it needs to be BETTER! It needs to be a football game. Not just a video game. A FOOTBALL game.

Again, my reactions may be amplified due to emotion. I won't sugarcoat it. The fact remains that after 9 years and 2 generations of hardware since the deal with the Devil, I should have been tempted to actually pay for a copy of the game. I figured this was the year. I bought it. Didn't open. Played a friends copy for a few days. Thought about it. Played another friends copy. Thought about it some more...

Just can't do it.

Im liking the game for the most part. one thing im missing from last gen is I can not find slider settings that open up the animations like I did on the 360. I had the 360 playing like an EA trailer. the multiplayer interaction were varied and organic, I was seeing different catch animations all the time (on the sidelines and back of endzone anyway) I was always having wow moments while seeing things during gameplay.

fast forward to the PS4, while I like the game im just not seeing these animations and the organic gameplay, im etting repetitive tackles, popping and snapping especially when 3 players are involved. the sliders feel much more stable (they don't throw the game completely out of whack like before) but I cant find any settings enhance the player interactions and animations like before.

oh and im not seeing the DE lower his shoulder and try to drive around the OLman,i loved that animation but its so rare now and I can not do it anymore. that should be the main move that establishes the pocket............

After playing a dozen or so games against the CPU in play now and MUT I think this is the best football game I've played since 2k5. Certainly the best Madden game. I'm seeing things I've not seen before in a football video game. I'm still working on my slider set but I'm very close and have had some real battles. I always play using the Chiefs and my games are going pretty much how the have in real life.

The presentation is still lacking. Why there is no halftime show is nuts. I haven't started my career mode yet but I'm guessing there is no half time, post game or weekly wrap up show there either, there should be by now.

All in all the game on the field I think is very solid. I'll be playing this one for quite some time.

I've played two games since getting my PS4 last night. The main thing I have noticed is that this game is HARD on all-madden. Its been a long time since I have felt challenged so it is very welcomed. I think they are making steps in the right direction

I can't wait to play it man.. This right here has me cranked up to play the game. Madden 13-25 was kind of a disappointment on the challenge side in certain areas. Love what I'm hearing so far about the gameplay from the AI on the new gen..

Played my nephew last night, hes one of the guys that play the wrong way. Dropping back 20 yards to throw, going for it on 4th and 10 etc. Made him quit in the 3rd quarter. That cheese BS just couldnt work for him. Had him 21-0 should have been atleast 28-0 besides a few turnovers from me. Sacked him bout 5 times, picked him off 4 times and he kept throwing into double/triple coverage all game. In past Maddens the stuff he was doing would have worked.

Yeah you are not kidding neither...finally some hard nose CPU competition!!

Having spent more time with the game. Two things really bug me about the game.

1. The CPU HB Screen game is way, way to overpowered. Even when I am playing the screed as the DE or LB the CPU is still way to "perfect" in their execution. More times than I can count I've watched the CPU run the play for TDs or long plays. While I am willing to say there could probably be some user error, but they are still get way to many yards.

2. Defensive player moment is flat out terrible. I have been hearing that this is a PS4 specific issue and while at first I didn't beleive it. The more I play, and the more I try to tackle runners in space or take the angle on stretch play, the more I beleive it. To quote pasta padre:

What stood out instantly on the Xbox One was a sense of greater player control. More precise movement with the left stick is possible in the running game – running the ball was notably easier on Xbox One – compared to the heft of steering players on the PS4. On defense where a greater number of tackle attempts in the open field on PS4 are missed (too often running right by the ball carrier) no such problem is being had on the Xbox One.
This sums up exactly what I am seeing and feeling as I play the game. It is a problem, and it is one that I know probably won't be patched for Madden 25, but it will be my crusade for Madden 15.

These are the two issues that I am seeing more and more. But I still enjoy the game and many of the "madden issues" still exist the game is a step in the right direction and I am still having fun with it.

It does have better control on xbox but its almost too easy. I love the feel of the ps4 Madden much more realistic if you ask me. Plus it looks so much better!! People that act like it doesn't must not have good tvs anyway.

That is what I love the most about this game. I finally played a few games of Ultimate Team online last night. The first guy was a solid player, no BS he slaughtered me 42-14 but he did have a team rated 95 against my team rated 79 , still he was clearly a better player then me. The next two guys were cheeseballs all the way. It was great seeing them try the crap that works on the current gen and watching them fail miserably. Running to the sideline with the QB and trying to pass downfield only to throw up a duck for me to pick off. They both quit before the 4th quarter. Funny how people quite in MUT. Even when you lose you still get coins.

How does the infinity engine feel on the XB1 vs PS4,any notable differences? feels like the PS4 version has it tuned down o almost nothing vs the 360 version. im not seeing much of the things I liked about it before but im still seeing alot of things I didn't like (mushy, wonkiness). On the 360 it felt like I had gang tackling because the physics were tuned so well. now any time the third defender gets there the first defender pops off.

does the XB1 handle some of these things any better?

Actually the defensive control is not much better on the Xbox 1. The game control is a bit more responsive I guess because of familiarity with the controller, but don't be fooled about claims about better defensive control because it is not any different.
