I don't give a crap what folks are saying about Madden next gen, I'm pretty impressed with the little they have shown. I just need to see real gameplay because I aint buying nothing blindly this coming gen. Too many liars in this biz now days to trust anyone.

lol This is actually one of the reasons I don't post much...doc says I gotta keep my blood pressure down Plus, we all know the negatives towards Madden, but it's gotten to the point where you're almost not allowed to say "I liked what I saw in that trailer."

I wouldn't be too concerned about posting that. I see plenty of those post get no replies but watch out if you use too many exclamation points. Then people get offended.

You can see my criticisms for this trailer earlier but there are positives in there too. I just want to discuss Madden and talk football. Some people are here looking to rain on parades.

Posting visual evidence, or at the very very least typing it, would go SO much farther in dev-to-consumer interactivity, imo.
Low-resolution video, but here you go:

The players, crowd and sidelines all react in real-time to the big touchdown pass from from Case Keenum to Andre Johnson.

The crowd stands up when the ball is in the air, cheers when the catch is made, then goes bananas once the touchdown is scored.

How come this looks sort of like the e3 trailer but the rest of the game doesn't???

If they made a next gen football game it would be awesome. The attention to detail is insane.

Posting 2k vids in a Madden thread is ok on this site? I got a warning for doing this.

Can't wait for Madden next gen, PS4 baby.

now in your case, you posted your issue, and then gave logical reasoning to back it up. i have no problem at all with that. in fact, i would encourage it, because thats how it gets done. but for example if i grill a steak for someone, and they just say "it sucks, my wife makes it better" does that help me make a better steak next time? the same goes for someone saying "it was great". what about it was great? it obviously isnt perfect, so tell me what i should keep and what i should change.
Eh, I don't think every post needs to be epic. Sometimes a video is unimpressive or an idea is really bad or whatever. Clearly some people think this feature is way off the mark.

Also, "my wife makes it better" isn't the same - it's not like you have to be invited over to dinner to find out how another game handled the same issues. I think Backbreaker and APF were the only non-EA football titles on the current gen. There isn't some huge burden of research here. Play the games, see what works, copy some of it, improve on some of it, come up with some stuff they couldn't do. Don't wait for random dudes on the web or in a focus group to tell you what was impressive. I don't think EA is wringing its collective hands over this non-specific negative feedback ("We want to make you happy but HOW?!?!") and if that is happening, IMO it's part of the problem. That's not to say we need more posts that say, "This blows bring back 2k," but it's certainly not hurting the game.

You've never received a warning for posting a video and after looking through the three of your warnings nothing even comes remotely close to that.

Maybe not on that account?

After seeing Madden 25 on the Xbox One is only 12gb, I am very excited for the future of things like 'living worlds' once they've got things in place and have a chance to start iterating on them.

Because half of the image is blurred out by the light flare and the lower third.

Can't stop laughing at the "Living Worlds" title on that video. There's an interview in another thread with a M25 dev who talked about the way they all cheered and freaked out around the office when people saw the crowds & sidelines in NG Madden. Um... yeah.

I don't understand why people keep making this argument and ignore all of the other overhead in the game like the poly count of the 22 players on the field, lighting, stadium, etc.

Of course now that some of this is added it doesn't matter and a previous game is brought up instead.

Imagine how they would react if they saw 2k8 gameplay?

To me, living worlds is about much more than crowds and sidelines. A major part of making the game world feel like a living world is based of animation quality and taking the time to create the small stuff that you don't normally notice. In 2k8, for example, they had the kicker leaning to the side after an attempt and peeking past the linemen to get a better view. It was a simple little animation, but it made the player feel much more alive.

And how well does you size argument hold up after seeing the game sizes of EA games. 2k put that (APF) together in 6 months. Tiburon had what, 2 years working on next gen and we get a game that is 75% smaller than 2ks current game in size. Oh and both released current gen games in the same cycle. Looking at the numbers and time available would lead one to believe it's not a size issue it's a passion and ability issue.

Ah, the bitter sounds of goalposts moving and why game comparisons weren't usually allowed in this forum to begin with.

Goalposts moving...come on now. You are the one that brought up the size issue as to all those other things added that people pointing to APFs sidelines were ignoring. Now that the size of the games has been released and that argument holds zero water you hide behind the reason game comparisons are not allowed, which was due to people not pointing out fair comparisons but rather this game sucks the other one was better. 2k put things in their game tiburon has not. Madden has things in their game 2k did not. Now that we know size of games on next gen, next gen capabilities and what each studio was able to do with a comparable alottment of time, I'll say again, the size argument holds no water.

Saw the commercial with Urlacher and Lewis and it looked pretty good. I'm still completely amazed,we have yet to see live game-play of the game and the game has already been released

Game play from the quick view of it (footage was recording the t.v) it looked very similar to a higher res version of current madden. Once again, footage was very quick and it was being filmed off of a television.

Side note, I must say, i'm impressed with the Xbox One. Urlacher snapped the current live game he was watching while he started the game of Madden. Small stuff like that is cool

Here's the commercial in case you missed it.
