2K Sports has released the first next-gen gameplay trailer of NBA 2K14, weighing in at 1:33 of goodness -- set to "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins.

The first pic is most likely from a much older build as it does not look as polished as some of the shots in the trailer. Also looks like LeBron is wearing soldiers instead of the XIs. Also is UD wearing Li Ning Way of Wade? The shoes look much more detailed and overall better.

They have GOT to highlight this emotion and the player reactions in the in game replays and cut scenes. We know they'll nail it in the wrap ups.

Yes, I brought up at Vegas was told NBA has say on some of this stuff (iirc) and I PMd Wang about this exact (bolded part) last year.

If the announcers would comment on the emotion during the cut scenes/replays (like when a player is talking smack towards another or seem to be doing so, or when a player is talking about a foul not called) it would only add to the immersion of an actual game being played out in front of you.

Other than Ronnie asking people to send in pic requests. Have there been any updates on when the next video would be released? will it land the same day as the last one?

Damn that's crazy how they got even this dudes reaction and it looks real too not alien. It seems they must be giving time to everybody as far as detail goes.

Kind of off topic but it'll be kind of beat if 2k had a option on certain players like Lebron or Gasolwho often switched from clean shave to full beard or players like JR Smith n D Wade he switch hairstyles throughout the season . I figure it's possible since they had random hairstyles on 2k11 w| Rodman . Just a thought tho ..

Maybe i missed something here but what have you seen or heard that confirms next gen 2k will be a direct port? How do you know what 2k is and isn't trying to do when we haven't seen much of anything yet besides the way the game looks?

I have wondered about all this myself. For example is the LeBron path to greatness mode featured in next gen? And if so are there any signigicant changes/upgrades? In regards to the improved player emotion and animation.....I would love if they did halftime interviews with star players (have it animate similar to LA Noir or the video game James next gen reveal trailer) as far as the audio for the interviews since not all NBA superstars would be able to record specific dialogue. What if they just used old archived audio interviews from specific players and used that? They could do it to where there was an interview at halftime just as a player is headed to the lockerroom and another interview after the game on court...same as an actual NBA broadcast. I'm also wondering how the pre game video intros are going to look on next gen with these graphics wow.

From what I've read I thought 2K said that they split their team in to two and they were starting from scratch.
