Most people that like the game have been loooooong gone from OS Madden forums..they are busy playing the game, playing in leagues, tourneys and enjoying other games as well...

I do NOT sit around and put a damn video game under a microscope dissecting it for every bug and AI logic flaw that does not mimic real life scenarios because i can comprehend that it is a video game and human AI logic is simply impossible for current technology to mimic perfectly..so i avoid searching for flaws, bugs, ai logic, etc so that i have no reason to go through a tissy fit, besides ...i am too much of a man to cry over a video game because it does some things wrong here and there and i am too much of a gamer to allow myself to not enjoy games for what they are.. video games, there are for mare things in life to worry about than a video game not being perfect...like making sure my life i right with the Christ

You know..some people all they do is unwrap their game and pop the game in and immediately put it under the microscope searching and searching for bugs, flaws and imperfections..believe it or not pal..there are people in this world that this is all they do in life..with people, places, things,etc..including video games. I cant imagine living life like that..it's gotta be stressful..

I am not saying its "wrong" to mention problems with a game..that's what is needed in order for us gamers to help the dev's make the game better..but some people just take it way to seriously. It's one thing having passion for gaming but some people are just never satisfied.
You talk about being right with Jesus in the middle of calling everyone a bunch of whiners and crying babies living stressful, terrible lives. Hypocrisy at its finest.

It just comes down to a difference of opinion and we have to respect the different views out there. Some people, like myself, are more critical than others. It probably isn't fair to bring up more of the negative than positive points but it's a lot like an OL in football. You don't really notice when they do a good job but you certainly notice when they miss a block.

My biggest annoyance had been the cpu playcalling but at least switching them to a generic playbook has fixed that. It's saved the game for me and the other thread on OS (and their complaining I guess) was a huge help. Others find the removal of features like multiplayer offline franchise a problem. Some might be upset with sock options. Either way, everyone will have an opinion on everything. Even if I disagree with people I like the critical posts that are specific in what they like or don't like. The generic posts - both good and bad offer nothing to the conversation for me.

I play offline Created Coach / CCM, so other then the ability to change scheme, what does this patch REALLY do for me?

I re read the list and since editing is useless, I don't really see anything that pertains to me as a positive...correct?

Also:

Is it possible to delete the third patch (PS3)?

Looks like from my game utility menu, the Madden utility has the date I first installed the first patch the came out with the game...

I assume the 2nd and 3rd and folded into that...

If I wanted to delete the 3rd patch, could I delete the whole thing and then just re install the 1st and 2nd when prompted and then pass on the 3rd?

Thanks!
I probably shouldn't answer this but on PS3 someone said that you can delete the "game info" and that will get rid of the patches/rosters etc...

i really don't know so you should search the other posts to find out. yeah this is a worthless post lol, sorry

King - I haven't noticed much difference with this patch for actual gameplay other than I have noticed more broken tackles and IE is better imo. Can you fix the first issue by just increasing the tackling slider? Just move it up a couple notches and I think you will be happier (I don't mind the change). The one main thing I have personally found is IE is better. I like the tackles more now than at any other time. It's still rough in spots and I know some people liked the earlier versions but I do think IE is at its best right now.

Due to the horrible super simming, what's the best amount of minutes to play to get decent super sim stats? I'm going to be Romo but don't want overly blown up super sim stats.

Thanks rudyjuly2!

After much frustration and hand wringing (), I just zero'd out HUM and CPU BTK and TCK sliders and "viola"...prefecto...

Thanks for the encouragement tho...

I really didn't want to have to delete the patch over sliders...

It's VERY unusual, that I wasn't able to fix it sooner...

I'm must be getting old?

Quick question, did they make it possible to have two users play on the same Xbox/PS3 in an online CCM? My brother wanted to join mine but doesn't have a copy of the game so I'm not sure

Rex Ryan has a foot fetish that was exposed and embarrassed him last year.

OK, back on the topic of impressions:

I used the CPU playbook suggestions the other day and yeah, didn't make much of a difference in my CCM. I am Oakland and played Miami in Week 2. While the play calling was better, the execution was horrid.

I won 31-10. Bush scored on an 80-yard to open the game, which i thought was encouraging. After that, he gained a total of 8 yards the rest of the game.

I could've scored more points had my receivers not dropped 8 passes.

I don't know what else to do at this point. It is zero fun to play against the CPU in CCM. They rarely put together a sustained drive. I'm 2 games in and already bored. I'd like to at least be challenged by the CPU. I've tried all kinds of slider sets and they make minimal difference in CCM.

you probably don't want to hear it...but there is one way to improve the CPU results...don't control your players use coach mode.

Speaking of which though, i've finally bit the bullet and joined an online league and am very proud to say, that without controlling my players, I won my first game against someone who controlled his players. I'm Tampa and this game was against the Cowboys. It was rather funny since Cowboys were up 21-10 late in 3rd quarter and Romo threw 3 INTs...I won the game 26-21 Funnest game I've ever played on Madden. (still not quite Head Coach, but getting closer)

DJ, I would suggest you jump up to All-Madden. You are bored because the game is too easy for you. Try out one of the All-Madden sets or just play on default for a game and see how it goes. Might want to play an exhibtion game first but I think that's the only way you save this game if you can't get a good game out of the cpu on All-Pro.

There has always been a problem with EA football games on the All-Pro or All-American difficulty and under: the cpu QB can be really stupid. Combine that with already suspect play calling and the cpu can get too easy. It would be really nice if EA added a QB awareness slider so we could make their QBs smarter on the lower levels but they have never done that. So we normally compensate by reducing the coverage slider so they complete more passes. But Madden's pass reaction slider is useless so we can't really do that either. After that the only big thing you can do is boost the cpu pass block as their passing game is affected tremendously by pass protection.

I will say the playbook switch helps a ton for me. Not having the terribly predictable play calling on 1st and 2nd down is huge. The next step for you is making the game harder to get fun again.

All Blacks.

My apologies, not a huge Hockey guy (Kings I guess?)

I don't want to derail the thread.

The other suggestions should be tried first before the cache.
