Lol this thread is ridiculously funny! Get the patch and still complaints, smh.

I guess EA can quote Shaq at this point: "Consumers tell me how my butt taste".

Can you read people arent complaining just to complain. The patch is worthless. It messes up the way the players look if you edit, Editing equipment doesnt work, I removed the sleeves off a player and there he is with those stupid long sleeve undershirt still. Total failure on EA. They should be embarrassed

It's only been a day guys and you're complaining about what's not available instead of praising what is.

This patch made a lot of improvements and I for one am loving Madden 13, it's definitely the best Madden of this Gen of Consoles; contrary to some of my other statements about Madden 12 being better in other forums. Post-patch, my position has changed on that.

You guys expect a lot when obviously Madden 13 is a beta for an all new system.

CCM is great. I don't care that Coach Mode is auto-pass, no biggie, I can press X to hike the ball, I'm not that lazy As long as I can put in a custom roster, use broadcast camera and watch all my Free Agent pickups get slaughtered, it's all good.

The AI is CCM is much better and if you don't think it is, then you didn't play this game pre-patch.

For those saying late game AI is crap, I disagree because when playing against the packers, they're in the redzone with 15 seconds left and no time outs, they hurry up and spike the ball, then pass to Jordy Nelson for a TD clutch win! That's pretty good late game AI.

When you're making criticisms, you need to consider the difficulty you're playing on, the sliders and your teams ability. All of this can affect the game for you and thus skew your opinion.

Anyhow, I love this game post-patch and it's the best Madden to date on current gen consoles. Borderline blasphemy here, but Madden 13 "might" be better than NFL 2k5

My only caveat is the loss of Create-A-Team. This really spoils a lot of fun for me.

If you can't enjoy a game because of a sleeve, then you have bigger problems and should go see a life counselor.

Man, I would mess up the patch on purpose for crappy consumers who moan and groan all the time about things that are petty.

If you want to have the prefect video game that suits "you", then go learn to be a game developer and make it. Come back when you're done and tell me how easy it was. Wait until you've planned the game, then listened to a million consumers tell you how they want it, develop it, then tell me if you were able to satisfy more than 30% of the market, if so, then you're a genius.

Thats such a dumb argument.

People are complaining because they told us all these things would be in the patch and we find out that it is either completely different than what was advertised (coach mode) or completely ****ed up (editing).

# 446 havokeff @ 10/16/12 03:42 AM
Editing Quarterbacks, Fullbacks, Offensive and Defensive Linemen completely distorts the way they look in the game.

EXAMPLE: Changing the gloves on DT Issac Sopoaga of the 49ers, reduces all his editable sizes (i.e., arm, thigh, calfs,) to ZERO. A 6'2" 330lb NT is now the smallest player in the game.

There are similar effects of varying degree for all the positions I listed.

That is not "complaining", that is a fact.

And it is not just if you go in and change body size when it happens, it happens the moment you enter the editing screen and if you save, can not be undone.

The patch does not work properly in the aspect that it added. That is not "complaining" that is a fact.

The patch is good but it really doesn't address the AI bugs and some of the gameplay that I think is just broken and can't be fixed with a patch.

While I enjoy Madden 13 gameplay, I just feel like I"m playing half a game at times. Or an incomplete game.

I think 2-3 years from now most people will look back at this game and say how it was one of the most broken Madden games. That is if Madden 14/15/16 build on this and give us a good football game.

I agree with the poster who said CCM is a good idea in concept but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The game can be great at times, but also a huge clustermuck.

Dont come on here and be a dick to me because i want what they said they were gonna have. The patch is causing problems. How am I a crappy consumer for wanting what was said to be working to work. Your an ***

So, I have been very critical of M13. I have always been very critical of the recent Madden games (last few years).

I have to say, I love M13.

The patch has made the game much more fun, and much more enjoyable.

I am very glad I hung onto it.

It's not just a sleeve. Try moving a left guard over to right guard. Change a number so that it matches the correct Real Life number on a newly signed or traded DT.
Change the #16, a retired number on the Chiefs, of the new rookie QB.

Now, go play with that DT and it literally looks like Ted Ginn Jr is playing the position.

These are BROKEN ASPECTS of a newly implemented feature.

Your argument is ridiculous and has no merit to it. People PAID for a functioning product. This creates a broken function that directly impacts game play in their HIGHLY touted new feature mode.

I feel also, that they tweaked the physics. My players are now doing things I haven't seen since the Demo.

For example, running the ball between two defenders, Alfred Morris dragged one of the defenders. Maybe I am just seeing things, but the physics of the game feel much closer to the demo.

This is a great thing!

I have no faith that this will be fixed. Josh was given a list of draft players that have the wrong skin color compared to their picture and this still hasnt been fixed and that was with the information given to him. They should ashamed of the way they put out stuff without testing it first or they should start paying us since we seem to be the testers.

I think there are too many broken things in this game they can't fix it all. So they have to take like the top 10 or so. It is what it is.

All I would have been happy with is having stuff that worked last year in this years game, like late game CPU AI, team specific sounds, cpu uniform select, etc.. etc.... I know they started over but the way they designed this game, it seems all disorganized. From what I hear, 3 teams developed 3 different parts of the game all separately. Then they tried to put it all together and it just didnt mesh. Maybe next year they build the game with some better collaboration between all 3 dev teams.

2K5 seemed to please a lot of its customers back in its hay day. So by your logic, maybe 2K is better at producing a sports game than EA. The point is this: we all payed upwards of 60 dollars for this game. All I ask is that I be able to do the small, but still fun things, that we were able to do in ALL THE PREVIOUS Maddens that we, for some odd reason, can't in this one. (Or at least because if i edit a 320 lbs offensive lineman, it then makes him look like starvin marvin off south park) The new physics engine is AMAZING. Kudos to EA for that. But c'mon man!!! It looks like my girlfriend is out lead blocking for me on run plays, oh wait no. That's just Nick Mangold, but since I edited his helmet to a REVO speed, he now looks like a girl taking on LBs in the run game

Whats ridiculous is that when editing was out, there was no complaints on visuals, only complaints on not being able to edit visuals. Now that forlks can edit players it messes with the visuals. Makes me think that the developers of the game purposely left this out because they already knew the result. Gotta give the folks what they want so here it is, you can edit, but the guys you edit turn average built from what I hear. Since this does not seem to improve any gameplay and just cosmetic complaints, I think Im gonna skip this patch.

I editing some gear and didn't have a problem with skinny/big players after I did it. Perhaps it just has something to do with editing their body parts?

# 458 Whomario @ 10/16/12 05:19 AM
can anybody say if offline CCM now plays the same as play now and online CCM ? Canīt connect my box to the net regularly for another month or so...

Also, is there a way to convert your online CCM to be an offline one ?

# 459 nekolas @ 10/16/12 05:23 AM
Did anyone check the CC practice XP? Is it only for player careers, or does it also work on the players you have in coach career?

edit: sorry if this was answered already, but tried to search the thread through on keyword 'practice', and couldnt find it answered

# 460 cubsfan128 @ 10/16/12 05:31 AM
I read through the whole thread and didn't see an answer for this question:

If I start an Online CCM today will I be able to change offensive and defensive scheme on the 19th when it is available for Online or will I need to start a new online CCM on the 19th?

thanks!
