Controls look even more complicated than last year. I don't have too much of a problem with it but I could've sworn 2K said something about making this game more accessible. NBA 2K has to nail down a permanent control scheme for that to happen imo. This is like the 3rd time in three years the control schene had some notable changes and this is the biggest change yet.

You could control the big and make sure he recovers to his man

This gona make last posession feel really good. Can't wait to get some buzzer beater going with Kobe and Roy.

I gotta say I've played some really enjoyable games tonight. Starting to get the hang of the new controls.

Yeah I'm looking forward to that as well, I just figured out my issue with the control stick, I was playing the game like 2k12, in 2k12 the cpu always recovered and so I was doing moves when I had the cpu but because of the bad habits I developed with 2k12(not meaning cheese) I was getting locked up against the cpu.

Now I take my time and read the defender and use the appropriate move like beluba said. I'm loving this game.

That would be great if you could do that. Thanks for your time.

This is just basketball knowledge.

The only advice I could offer you is go on youtube videos and look at some highlight mixes of players with good handle. Rose, A.I., D-Wade, CP3, Kyrie Irving, D-Will etc.

Just look at what the defender is doing and look what move they pull off. Just keep studying, you'll learn eventually.

I had real good isomotion in the past 2K's. I like the controls this year, I'm picking them up pretty decent.

But I'm having problem with a quick change of direction crossovers. Usually when I drive and I know I have the defender on his heels I'll hit a quick crossover. Every time I try to do a basic crossover I get the behind back.

It's user error for sure. But I'm pretty sure I'll get the hand of it monday night when I go into practice mode with the retail version. Also I'll get my absolute control with the retail version I play broadcast stadium but the camera relative throws me off lol.

Chris smoove plays 2K13 demo with Kinect. He tests out the vocal commands and play with the 2K cam. Pretty epic.

> clic me <

Man how I miss the 2K camera. I can definately see the spacing imrprovements.

I may go back into the demo and try out the voice commands myself. I did the one for switching the camera last night.

Is it me, or is some of the old Isomotion, still in this game. U can still do some of the moves on the left stick.

Stumbled up a cool little addition. You can spin an off ball player by rotating the RS. Did it with Dwayne during an inbounds.

Original Post updated with EVERYTHING, including PS3. Steve or mods, feel free to move the images to OS like you did with the previous ones. The new images are more thorough. Enjoy.

Looks like it's back to practice mode for about the 1st day I get the game again for the 2nd year in a row lol. I want to be completely comfortable before going full 12 minute sim style.

Plus it will give me some time to look at training camps and preseason to see how teams will run their offense.

You basically have to see how far or close your defender is and pick the correct move depending on their defensive position. Maybe Beluba can shed some light on this, I don't want to give you the wrong info. The thing that has been working for me is being patient and watching my defender.

I'm having a hard time trying to perform a simply alley oop (PS3).
During a fast break, I've tried pressing Square then X, but it just does a normal pass

any ideas??

Looking at all these new controls, I'm definitely going into practice mode again this year as well. I'll have to wait for retail to even begin to practice though which sucks.

You have to press them simultaneously.
