The fact that players bite on pumpfakes without me doing anything is that due to the defensive assist strenght slider beeing set by default at 50?

I haven't run into auto jumping on pump fakes yet....that sucks if so. Are you holding LT when it happens Vni?
I actually like the auto contest animation when your up on a player and he takes a shot....reminds me of 2k7....but auto jumping on pump fakes is not a good look...

Player doesnt actually jump. But he raises his arm and leaves his feet of the ground a little bit. A guy did that 5 times to me online in a 5 minutes game. Everytime he got passed me because of that. There is no way I get owned because the game forces me into an animation.
But you're right though I maybe was pressing LT at the time. Still though, I don't think my player should initiate animation on it's own without my input.

So, did they not realize that they blew on that trailer with the behind the back dribble command? I've been picking my brain trying to figure out how "spin clockwise" could trigger both a behind the back AND a spin move. Not sure I like that either. I'd prefer the half circle for the spin, and a quarter circle for the BTB, and that way backwards on the RS still does the step back, rather than back on the LS. Oh well, I'll live. Does anyone know if the controls can be set to "absolute" instead of "camera sensitive"? So much easier when you're pressing the same direction every time for each move, in my opinion at least.

Let's call it what it is. They really are just making you use the dribble stick.
The Dribble stick made 2k8 their greatest game. It was tight and you could actually shake people in real time. It was like you were on the court. Hold down the LT and your dribble stick is now the shot stick. It was the most control you have ever had in this series. It was the last game before the animations took over.
For some reason in 2k10 they removed the function of holding down LT to turn your dribble stick into a shot stick. Ruined the setting.
They bought it back.
This is a positive sign. At least they have seen the error of their ways.

edit: I see they add the flop!!! hahaha that should be awesome. I can see the threads now. "Flopping needs to go!!"

Looking at these controls, just how is this going to play on PC without a controller? I mean, I shouldn't need to buy a controller just to play this game on PC.

So, how exactly do we pull off sizeup moves this year? I feel like I can't do those quick Iverson dribbles to size up my man this year.
And speaking of dribbling while moving, anyone else discover the "slow creep" variation of moves (the ones Beasley did in one of the videos)? You can slowly cross, go between the legs, hesitate, and even go behind the back! It also works going slowly backwards too. ****'s beautiful. Looks really realistic when ending a quarter to get something going.

Easy, just slightly move the left stick in the direction towards the basket, and hit...
RS + Opposite ball hand = Slow crawl cross
RS + Ball hand = Slow crawl Hesi
RS + Back Opposite Hand = Slow crawl through the legs
RS + Away = Slow crawl behind the back
RS + Towards = Slow crawl stutter (not 100% sure, will edit post after testing)

Anyway we can put the "RS passing" back to how it was in 2K12? Right now, you have to hold RB and the hit RS in a direction. Last year, you could tap RB to bring up the ICON passing (Same as 2K13), and then flick the stick whenever you wanted to pass without holding down RB.
Not sure why this was changed.
