game is decent...nothing special. lots of bells and whistles but still behind in gameplay. it has improved for sure but after a couple weeks of playing alot, it feels stale. defense needs a major overhaul. your AI teammates are idiots and really ruins that aspect of play. offensively, it has gotten better. dribbling needs improvement. the new dribble gimmick they call precise dribbling is just that, a gimmick. player movement has gotten better, the collision physics is much improved.

online play against friends is a blast, which is why i got the game.

however, random online games against people who only play with the usual 5 star teams with passing assistance to AUTO are really annoying. I wish there was a button for a hard charging shoulder check, like in hockey...cuz thats all i want to do to those types of online scrubs.

In fairness its similar to any other FIFA that's come and gone before, but it has a few good tweaks this time. The close ball control and the passing/movement seems a lot more realistic. Something needs to be done to make it easier to tackle opposition players however.

I just picked this up for $40.00 today. I played the early release but I'm glad I picked this up. I didn't play FIFA 12 so this seems like a nice upgrade.

They need to fix crossing speed. There are too many occasions where the ST/CF will make a good run towards the box, the winger has plenty of time/space to send in a cross, and the pace of the cross will allow the defender to catch-up. It makes headers feel unrealistic because often both the offensive & defensive players will be near the "X" and jump straight-up to get a head on the ball. Sometimes the amount of pace they put on it when this happens is physically impossible w/o a running start. For the most part, headers are about timing, technique, and placement.
