I have really been enjoying it. The new first touch control really changes the game for the better imo.

Love the XP element this year in order to unlock items like boots, makes me want to play over time to earn them. I hope people will realize that this game cannot be played the same as fifa 12 mainly in pro clubs. I still see players with smurf players just trying to out run and not play anything close to real football or evolve there teammates...hope that cleans up. Other than that I believe this is the best footy game hands down, sorry PES. PSN CheckmyfootworkB

--The presentation is wonderful. The announcers are solid and the overlays, including ESPN, look great.

-- I'm terrible at this game and it's frustrating the hell out of me. I kicked *** in the PES demo.

-- The speed feels better to me than the demo. I'm not sure if it's actually slower or if I'm just used to it by now. It doesn't bother me as much.

-- The CPU's insistence on moving the ball upfield and attacking relentlessly for 90 minutes -- and with no regard to score and situation -- is driving me crazy. It has me considering eating $15 and returning the game for PES. This part of the game isn't necessarily worse than the demo, but it's much more noticeable because the demo was only three minutes long.

-- Having all the licenses is awesome. I've been playing some MLS action too. Very nice having the ESPN presentation for that too.

I am having a blast with it. I do have a few issues:

- Teammates need to be more aggressive on loose balls. Not cool watching my guys stare at a loose ball one foot outside of our box.

- The game needs to be slower. I think that's a pretty universal gripe on the board. But it's not killing it for me.

Other than that, the game is everything and more that I wanted this year. Madden and NHL 13 couldn't deliver it, but FIFA 13 has.

-Great career mode with a MUCH improved youth system.

-Some great storylines help create an alive feel.

-Players that are dynamic, alive, and diverse in-game; stars feel like stars and I depend on them greatly.

-Commentary remains solid, and the includes reports on other games and injuries is great.

- Each game feels different to me. I've had to go about games differently and adjust.

That's good to hear. I was going to avoid Fifa after all the bugs and quirks in NHL, but good to hear it is better.

Let me first say, I really really dig it. I am new to fifa, and football in general, picked up 12 about three months ago, and now I am hooked on this game, and Fox Soccer (football) channel. Oddly I had to bump this to world class, as I felt pro is a little easier in 13. However with some personal slider tweaks, like bumping up first touch error on both, but more on cpu, and lowering acc, I can't say enough how much fun I am having so far. I like all the subtle improvements in career mode, like showing the champions cup and Euro cup more clearly or more evidently, with even a tourney tree. The international aspect in career mode is cool as hell to. I play 95% offline, and I know that is not this games strong point, but It suits me just fine.

Playing on PC:

Vastly improved from the demo. Feels really nice except there's one online bug that really bothers me:

If I do seasons mode and choose my team, after it connects and I am shooting around with my player in the arena, occasionally it will lose connection but nothing will pop up telling me that I lost connection, nor will I go into the game. I also cannot press start to bring up the menu when this happens so the only way to quit is to alt+f4 and force quit the game and then relaunch it from my desktop.

Quite annoying.

FIFA is growing on me the more I play. Learning to defend better has forced the AI to build up more in order to create opportunities. Lowering the game speed to slow has helped too.

I play head to head seasons, game is fun to play, just having tons of connection issues on PS3, gotta cut them some slack on launch day, plus it may be my connection today

for you guys who already own the game, i need to ask some qusetions:

can you tell me if the US version of the game does have the option for brazilian portuguese texts on menus and commentary? and, more importantly for us all, can you guys tell me if Vasco da Gama, Palmeiras and Botafogo, from Liga do Brasil, are now fully licensed? i have been reading around the web that executives from these clubs have confirmed that these teams would be fully licensed, so its a lil bit strange to hear from the guys with the early release version that these teams are generic. I have even heard that FIFA 13 will be patched soon, and this patch will contain an update that will make Vasco da Gama fully licensed. sorry if i wrote much guys, and thank you.

Botafogo is the only club that's on there out of the three and it's generic. As to the commentary, I'm only seeing English for my PC version. It's greyed out and has no option to change it.

Are you guys seeing fouls getting called consistently?

# 15 razorkaos @ 09/25/12 04:27 PM
so theres only 18 brazilian clubs in the game, not 20?

Picking this up tonight after work... Quick question regarding getting a feel for the game right out of the box. Do any tutorials exist and are the skills challenges a good way to get acclimated outside of logging games? I've played FIFA's 10,11, & 12. I can't wait to play, thanks!!!

# 17 zrtelford @ 09/25/12 04:49 PM
I have played three games so far. i play 20min halves (i know I know) I have had these foul results player-1 cpu-6, player-4 cpu-3, and player-2 cpu-4. I think there was one yellow card in each of the matches but the last there was two.

The skill challenges are good at helping you get adjusted to each specific control, I haven't looked for a tutorial yet.
