Pared how is rebounding? There aren't any really good rebounders in the demo so it is hard to gauge but it looked like it was all over the place. Do the good rebounders dominate like you expect them to?

They get their boards but I would say it's just a slight improvement - nothing groundbreaking.

The ball can become dislodged at times and you'll see it "ping-pong" around a bit in the frenzy in the paint. Problem is some of the AI players don't realize this and it's tough to come up with it.

I just think that "forcefield" is still there enough when rebounding to be noticeable.

I really don't like it during other times, such as alley-oops, self alleys and put-backs. Those animations still don't seem able to be fully interrupted or enough to "bother" the offensive player.

Played a few games today, didn't lose any, only 1 or 2 that were tied games. The ones that were tied were people who definitely knew how to play and those were fun. I really win a lot of games, something around 90%. I don't know what kind of audience is playing and if they are familiar with nba 2K but it's way too easy.

I also see too many people trying out that right stick, doing all kinds of iso motions and getting nowhere. The thing I've learned is to not use or barely touch the right stick from now of on.

Remarks: (probably only demo related- online)

1. Tip off doesn't work properly, most of the games I start I have to try 2-3 times to make the tip off work. Even when you press Y Bosh/Perkins doesn't jump

2. I took a shot with KD and the ball bounced of the rim right into the paint and Westbrook was boxing out no one... he could have easily grabbed the ball but he was boxing out air. Definitely hope that isn't in the game.

3. Shots that I seem to block (could be the broadcast cam) that go in. I had at least 1 blocked shot with Ibaka that went through my arm.

4. lag when switching players, when they drive with Wade/Lebron and I want to switch to Perkins/Ibaka I'm always too late. They have to either know whats happening and leave their task or there shouldn't be that input lag or w/e.

love the new controls and the graphic fideliety (360) is off the charts... thinking back to 2k7 I have to laugh to think this is still the same hrdware generation.

Look, i'm not here to brag about being a great online player by any means but, whats up with these people getting angry and QUITTING the game over a DEMO, a single 5 min quarter DEMO. Thats sad really.

i guess its just a small forshadowing of whats to come for online gamers....

....and one more thing, if i play against another off the backboard alley oop junkie i'm going to lose my mind. i wouldnt mind if 2k got rid of it completely.

# 1226 JasonMartin @ 09/28/12 01:45 PM
I haven't even tried out that feature yet.

I also had someone who left, I trashed the guy so hard 25-12 or something and he quits during the final 5 seconds hahaha. Then I played against someone who quit by d/c'ing himself.

Couldn't care less.

lol

Dont get me wrong it does look pretty sick at times....but why not focus on the audience and the fact that they still dont track the ball and scream non stop all thru out the game. why not fix things like that first then add special off the backboard tricks ya know?

too many people taking the demo way to seriously, from both sides. im sure alot of people who you think are trying to cheese and spam the right stick are just using the DEMO to get some practice and familiarity with the new controls before the retail comes out. I dont know who is worse - online quitters in a 5 minute demo, or all the people coming in these threads to brag about how they are making people quit.

After playing some more, I feel like I understand better how defense works. I'm having fun with the demo. I still can't wait for the retail version so I can practice the controls. I'm getting more comfortable with them though.

I'm disappointed what they have done to icon passing. I don't know why 2k stripped it. I've always used icon passing and before 2k12 it was really responsive. Alot of the icon passing animations are just wrong and slow. It's better than 2k12. Maybe I just need more practice, but the type of passes and responsiveness seemed better before 2k12 and 13.

Other than icon passing, cpu boxing out and the camera angle, the demo is great.

That may be true, and i'm ALSO SURE alot of people who i think are trying to cheese and spam are ACTUALLY SPAMMING n CHEESING. So whats your point?

....and if youre referring to me as "bragging" then you obviously didnt read what i wrote carefully.

It seems like players are so flawless and do most things themselves. Just pass them the ball, shoot. It's pretty mindless entertainment.
Play the real game on actual sim difficulties and get back to us, compadre.

So do you guys think the graphics took a step back this year? Just curious as to everyones opinion?

Sim Head - didnt mean to single you out bro. Its just there's so much focus on these boards in winning and losing a 5 minute demo. There is a whole thread going on talking about making people quit in the demo, people are posting their unofficial "win-loss" records in their posts, etc.

obviously cheesers and spammers will always exist in every game, and im sure they will try their best to find something exploitable in this game as well. I just think people are going to the extreme with the demo and judging how people are choosing to play it.

Every year someone says this. Every year that someone is usually forgetting what the game looked like last year.

Can we still bank a shot off of the backboard when we want to? How do you do it?

# 1236 Pared @ 09/28/12 03:21 PM
Keep LT held down as you follow through on the shot.

Beluba confirmed in the Advanced Controls thread that bank shots are no longer controllable.
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ntrols-21.html

they are now automatically determined by the player's "use glass tendency".

That's true but why did I also thought that LT + X was bankshots? I think Pared and I have read the same thing.

e/ I think i remember now. Might of been Ronnie that said it during the live stream of the first full game between him and LD2K. I even felt like it worked when I was playing the demo.

Damn I guess I was not controlling them by holding the LT?

Then that brings up another problem them because I thought it was my error when I was shooting bank shot floaters with Tony Parker and Brandon Jennings. Now I know it's being changed automagically and I hate it.
