Wade: Looks like Dywane McGrady. Not sure why they needed to update his face but he looks even less like himself than years prior. I liked 2K11's Wade, and some people liked 2K12's, but this year is just flat out off.

Bosh: Improved from last year.

Battier: Not bad except he looks like he has encephalitis. Could tone down the noggin size just a tad.

Allen: Looks decent.

Durant: Horrible. Again, looks like Pooh from some angles. There are moments that Durant actually looks decent and others where he looks completely off. I'm wondering if it has to do with how his expressions are rigged and how his eyebrows are mapped, because when he makes certain expressions is when he looks completely strange.

Westbrook: Not bad except for that weird mustache.

Harden: Pretty good, but looks souless for some reason.

Ibaka: Looks pretty good.

Perkins: Looks pretty good.

Somehow 2K12 decided to redo some stars and ended up with models worse than last years. The problem isn't necessarily that 2K's art team is bad-- it's that there seems to be lackluster quality control and faces are being approved by someone who isn't intimately familiar with what NBA players actually look like. I can understand a bench guy or role player's mediocre cyberface slipping through the cracks but at the very least they should get their superstars and cover athletes right. If they're going to update, they need to make sure it's an actual improvement and not a couple of steps back.

It's pretty concerning when almost all of the biggest stars in last year's finals have problematic faces. I wonder if Durant just sighs and shakes his head when playing as himself in 2K.
I feel you bruh, Daquan Cook shouldn't be more spot on the Wade, Lebron or KD. I actually like Wade cyberface, they just made his hair and beard too damn dark.

To all the people complaining about Lebron's headband, they are using this one

I wish I could answer for you, but I only played one game.

Apparently people would rather make sure Lebron's headband is correct. (the reason b-ball games suffer)

regarding the sluggish feeling...i'd be surprised if this couldn't be adjusted in the retail version with player speed or another global slider?

anyone know how to jab step to create space then go into a jumper in a fluid motion?

In transition there is also a little FPS drop sometimes. I hope it gets cleaned too.

Anybody else experiencing a glitch on tipoff where you can't jump after the ref tosses the ball up 2-3 times?? And is it due to lag?

Yes, I've seen it - it's not in retail from what I can tell.

Is it just me or does everybody run slow besides Lebron James I feel like I'm running with Perkins speed for everybody.

The dribbling will be more effective for certain camera views

Like that I was able to pull off a spin move from post than quick layup with bosh compared to last yr if u didn't remember the right combination you were stuck
In all it felt more organic

Player models look different more slim

Just played 4 games after downloading the demo for PS3. I know i'm going to be in the minority here, but I really don't like it at all. Both 2k11 and 2k12 gripped me straight away the last two years, sadly, this game has not done the same.

Really let down. I'm not going to go into griping about it seeing as there's a lot of you who are clearly loving it, but I think I'm going to stick with 2K12.

2k cam is in demo if u have kinect. Just say "switch camera" posted this earlier but y'all don't read from the new guy lol

quick impressions:

+really nice to be able to pull off some good moves once you get the hang of it
+fast break spacing is much improved
+defense is a lot better

-rebounding is pretty poor overall. not a lot of boxing out and it just feels stale.
-players definitely feel sluggish on default
-hop step and spin dunk are really easy to abuse.
