Just in time for the NBA 2K13 demo, which arrives tomorrow. Check out the controls trailer.
Gameplay Producer, Mike Wang (Beluba) has chimed in with the following update (Post #24).
Quote:
just fyi... some of the controls are incorrect in this trailer:
Bounce Pass = LT+A
Behind the Back = RS away from hoop
As for shots, the trailer just shows how to execute some of the new shots with the face buttons. Shot Stick controls are completely different. For example:
Hop Step Layup = LT+Double Tap RS left or right
Euro Step Layup = LT+Throw RS one way then back the other
I just got done watching the trailer and just got done reading this entire thread. As I was reading the thread I quoted some post to respond to, but as I kept on reading this thread got RIDICULOUS.
SMH at what this forum has become man. You never played the game but then you guys are a 100% the game will be easy to casuals.
Anyways the trailer was dope. My new Ethernet cord won't be in till later this week so I won't have the internet on xbox to download the demo. Damn I'm going to miss some valuable time adjusting to the new controls, but I'll have em down by the end of release week.

2K13 is looking hella dope tho.
Dang I have like 7 extra ethernet cord at home. Can't believe that's going to stop you from getting the demo tomorrow. I'd be so frustrated,

If behind the back is RS away from the hoop, then how do we do step backs?
Cannot wait for that demo so I know what kind of scheme I'll be using transitioning from dribble moves to shots. I'm a shot stick guy for all the advanced moves in previous 2ks, but since the dribble stick might mess up my rhythm, I might have to go with control stick + face buttons for shooting. Can't wait for the full game to practice! LOL

I just recently moved to Connecticut and haven't been on XBL for a good month or so. I decided to wait till 2k13 to get my XBL up and running, my TV is in the basement so I needed a 100 footer to reach from the router to my console.
Edit: I love how the euro step is done this year it's illl. I'm gonna have fun with Tyreke, Rondo and D-Wade.
Was there a Euro-step attribute in 2K12? Is there going to be one in 2K13? Don't want to see this move too much, it's not THAT common in real life. Don't want everyone to do it like that.

There was an ability if that counts. And a tendency.
