Vid 1 is at 0 and 2 is at 100?

Yeah, vid one = zero marking

# 283 razorkaos @ 09/19/12 06:37 AM
video one, marking at 0.

in the second vid, pay attention to the play when Silva scores. Looks like Vidal, i think is he, just stops trailing the striker right in front of the box. I remeber when i first saw the very first video showing the Attacking AI... it was a game between Schalke and Hamburg, and during a Schalke`s play, you see clearly an Hamburg defender, if i am not wrong, the defender is Aogo, stoping his run to the ball in the midifield for a second, then he starts to run again, but its too late. Sice then, i was thinking that Attacking AI doesnt really exist, they simply dumbed down the defensive AI, and increased the frequency of the forward runs. Yes, you all can see, when playing the demo, that strikers often run to the box, not to space. The runs are just more frequent, not smarter.

Thanks for the vids Rck.

The 2nd video was better with pressure around the box but the marking in the box is still poor. Look at the Tevez goal and notice how the defender just stops in no-mans land leaving Tevez space for the easy tap-in.

correct guys. vid 1 is at 0 and vid 2 is at 100. After watching it, I really didn't notice a huge difference. I think it's safe to say that the defense is awful and that the sliders or at least the marking slider has little to no effect. At opposite ends of the slider, we should be seeing major differences.

Hmmm... I think the marking was somewhat tighter in part two. It still wasn't great, as defenders ignored or left their man on several occasions. The last goal is why I sometimes control a defender away from the ball... what were the CBs doing? So while there were poor decisions/awareness in both parts, it looked like the D played 'looser' away from the ball in part one.

When messing around with the demo the other night, I halved the line sliders to 25/25/25 with marking at 0 & 100. Also didn't see much of difference between 0 & 100, but the D was at least more compact and tougher to penetrate due to the other settings.

So Mr. Raider, which is which?
vid one is 0.

Also, what I think helps as well is setting the line width narrower and the length shorter. I didn't mess with any sliders except marking in the video though.

oops. Posted as you were editing Qb. But yeah, adjusting all the line sliders helps

I disagree on the Silva goal. Watch it again and it's more of a give and go. Silva runs around the defender, receives the pass and then switches the ball to his left. The defender overruns and he's got a clear shot in on goal. I don't remember seeing a lot of runs in FIFA 12 where they would run around the outside of defenders. To me, it was always straight lines towards the box and towards the goal.

I have only played one game so far and I am happy with it. I was AC Milan against Arsenal. It was hard fought with I winning in penalties. A really nice game, though player ratings seemed a little harsh.

This, and the out of whack offense/defense balance, is the only thing they've taken a backstep on.
Fifa 13's graphics are a huge improvement from fifa 12. I love the dynamic lighting and the increased contrast look of the players. Fifa 12 was a drab and ugly experience.

^ I certainly do not think FIFA 12 was ugly by any means, but to say FIFA 13 doesn't look better than 12 is simply false. If you compare both with AA on max (on PC) you'll clearly see the drastic improvements made in 13. I'll post pics later.

Well today's the day... still excited even with the shortcomings of the demo. Hopefully the retail plays a better game.

I'm beyond stoked...even for the mere *chance* that Career Mode is better than last year's.

Available in 0:08:27:34!

I stayed away from the demo because I wanted to be surprised. My retail copy is at my local Post Office so of course I'm getting sick as I type. Gonna be a short work day

How'd you get retail so soon?!

Yeah, it's gonna be tough, because this is going to be released 2 hours before quitting time for me.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna feel ill at around 2:45pm!

Yes it is. I'll be online tonight if you're up for some 1v1. I've got some studs up tackles for Song and Cesc... if they can get off the bench.

I was considering not even bother with the early relase but i know I will try it to see if is improved from the demo at all.

I don't have too much hope that the pace of the game is improved from the demo, but I'll still enjoy the game. I do have high expectations in the realm of progression/regression and youth academy player progression.
