Madden NFL 13 News Post


Madden NFL 13 Title Update #2 is available now for 360 users. We'll update this post when PS3 users can see it.

This update includes a new instant start option when creating a player in CCM. The team has also fixed numerous stability issues and GameFace improvements.

While the team hasn't added the ability to edit players in CCM, they still haven't shot down the idea completely, in hopes to have it available in a future patch.

The week 1 Madden NFL 13 updated rosters for CCM are not included in this title update, but are supposed to be out sometime this week.

UPDATE: Here are the details on the title update.
  • Added an Instant Start option to Connected Careers as a player
  • Numerous commentary improvements to address when lines trigger and what they say.
  • Added a trade notification in CCM for the NFL Draft
  • Fixed social media sharing post-game to address spacing issues
  • Improved the GameFace feature
  • Fixed Challenge Audio to make the appropriate call
  • Improved Physics Get-up post play
  • Adjusted created players in Connected Careers so that they always have high progression grades despite their backstory choices
  • Fixed defensive assignment issues against the CPU AI when users were in Man Coverage
  • Increased the chances to trade for a CPU team’s starter
  • Adjusted the scouting development trait in CCM to display as (Slow, Medium, Fast, or Superstar) instead of 0-3.
  • Added the ability to post results from H2H MUT games on Facebook/Twitter.
  • Numerous stability issues around the game in general were also included in the update to improve the overall experience and Connected Careers specifically.

I'm so tired of having to switch to conventional every game. So tired of it that I haven't played the game in a few days. Don't get me wrong I love the game, but this issue needs fixed NOW.

The patch affected offline, I play offline and I notice the lack of post play floppyness.

I've seen so many comments on this and am just wondering am I better off having the patch or not getting it when all I play is offline CCM?

If you didn't enjoy the post play ragdoll flopping around, I would suggest getting the patch.

One glaring issue that still remains is that when u create a coach, game won't let you go back and change your playbook. Only for each game can u change it but that messes up ur schemes.

Patch didn't do anything for Offline CCM.

DEAR EA SPORTS...Please add 2 player co-op...even if it's just for offline CCM mode. I can deal with the new CCM replacing the franchise...even though that was a bad move....but you should be able to add roster editing and 2 player co-op..PLEASE...you still can make this game right!

I'm extremely confused. Can I see a list of the actual issues with offline CCM post patch? Also does online CCM not have these issues? I tried an offline CCM and it appears that position schemes save but is that not good enough to start one? Some help please! Lol.

I did a little of messing around and I did fine the new "instant Starter" thing for CC player

And I did notice that they hidden the rookies rating front the team
Needs page.... I tip my hat for that one....now I have to scout =[ lol

im so glad they fixed it so now the score ticker and down & distance always shows up.

Something so small made a huge difference for me.

I thought someone in here a few days back stated that offline CCM player schemes were fixed? In my experience last night, they are still very much not working. I changed my schemes for players, went back to the main CCM screen, saved my CCM, exited CCM mode, then went back in a loaded my CCM again, and none of my scheme changes were saved.

I guess it makes sense that its still not working since it wasnt mentioned in the update list for the patch... but how frustrating that its not apparently. Jeez..

I do love how players dont trip and fall as awful as they used to post play though. Nicely done.

Anyone know if the update has resolved the issue that will allow the Broadcast Camera to work in Connected Careers.

That's because they never fixed the offline. I tested trade logic for both offline and online, online is the only one working.

Meaning they did absolutely nothing to offline.

Offline ccm does not save position schemes. It also still has the bizarre trade logic where the CPU will not trade some players for any offer. I don't believe the patch did anything for offline CCM.
