Going to transfer Madden 12 sliders to the demo to get a better feel, but I'll say the visuals are beautiful.

Also, any reason why when you adjust the sliders in the demo it goes to "Rookie" difficulty? Does this trump the theory slider creators of Madden 12 had that putting certain points in the sliders make it "All-Madden"?

I know I'm probably going to hate Connected Careers due to the limitations they set in 13, but as the saying goes "don't count your chickens before they hatch"

The new engine can be a little 'much' as I was trying to run behind my lineman as a lead blocker with Frank Gore. Well, my elbow got stuck in his groin and it made me do a 360 and fall over.
If my elbow got stuck in someone's groin I'm pretty sure I'd have the same reaction.

Explain to me what skills and the feel of the game have to do with each other? Just because someone doesn't agree with your point of view doesn't mean they are less "skilled" than you at the game. Don't be ridiculous.

My opinion remains unchanged, the game feels almost identical to M12. It looks better graphically, and has better tackling due to the IE, but overall this game isn't much different. You wanna jot it down as me not being "skilled" enough, so be it.

this demo is amazing! first game i played was the giants vs 49ers. passing game is fun. running the ball took me a while to get down with the new infinity engine. because everytime i tried to run he would fall over his own player.

i got burned by a long run for a td by 49ers cause my d-fense couldnt tackle the guy.

the lighting in the seahawks and redskin game sucks so bad. they need to fix that.

the infinity engine makes everyone look like rag-dolls flying around.

other than that. better than ncaa 13 demo and better than madden 12

Can you access manual instant replays in the demo?

Thanks!

I love most things that everyone else in this thread eluded to, but

The only two things I dislike are:

- Players look a little too dark at a distance. Refs, opponets (in white) are like shadows.

- Players stumble entirely too much and make me want to rage. I'm wondering if this is a ratings thing. I use Helu. I think he is rated 79ish.

Other than that I will be getting this on day one or before, lol

Certainly a possibility...I'd love for that to be the case.

I think the demo is definitely a mixed bag.

Pros:

Passing trajectory is great

Graphics look good except for one thing... see Cons

Nice to have new commentary

The Engine creates some great tackles and plays. I had Vernon Davis catch a pass against me and break through three tackles on his way to a TD.

Cons

Graphics - the Giants look like they have depends on. Those lines in their pants on their backsides is to noticeable.

The Engine is not so great. I see more strange happenings during and after plays then I ever have. Guys getting up and stumbling. Guys literally sitting on other players. Tackles that are just OFF. It's kind of like a bad B-movie action film where someone throws a punch and the guy getting hit responds just a tad too late. That is what I'm seeing. The players also have a lot of jerky movement.

Madden 13 Demo is out! Played 2 games on all-pro. Here's a few things I don't like first:

-Hate that kicking is back to just using the right stick to get power, with accuracy coming based on what direction you pushed the stick in. On all-pro, I made a 56 yarder, a 54 yarder and a 50 with Hauschka. Way too easy (to the point of being automatic) for anyone who's played madden for a bit. Hopefully all-madden increases the effect the accuracy of your stick and the kicker take. For now, you'd have to pull that **** horizontal to miss. :P

-Dislike that the soundtrack is all orchestral stuff made specifically for this game. Sounds 95% like NCAA tunes...need actual songs...disappoint there.

- The replays after a play can be terrible if the play was too long... Like more than 5 seconds :P. Miss key moments like an INT but only show the tackle on the defensive player with the ball... stuff like that.

Maybe minor things, maybe not. Kicking being so easy to me is not minor.

Anyway otherwise things seem solid. Commentary has hit or miss moments, no collision system can be ****ing hilarious [even if awkward] (to the point of me thinking Marshawn Lynch should actually have died the way his body contorted and was smashed)

All-pro seems too easy for me. At least, both games I played the computers sucked on offense. I won 9-7 and 14-3, so I did too, but the comps didnt make great throws or that many smart decisions. Very similar, in other words, to Madden 12's basic All-pro setting.

Lastly, the new "You have to be looking at the ball to pick it off" has some potential, will have to see it more. So far it's made INTs look more realistic, but one or two I made I still kinda felt like...it was a bit far fetched. I think the system may actually favour the user who can user pick it, because it doesn't exactly stop you from pressing Y to spin around and attempt a pick, that I've seen. Then again, so far it's seemed like DBs always have their head turned to the ball, even slightly. So maybe it's more cosmetic than anything... time will tell.

Oh yeah, 2 games played, no 8 foot linebacker picks. THat's a plus. Patrick willis did make a sick swatting dive to break up a 5 yard out at the point of a pivot in the route though, that was cool to see!

EDIT: Played a few games on all-madden with adjustsments to sliders as such: Increase Hum catching from 25 to 50, decrease cpu break tackles to 25 from 50. Had a couple great games.

Great game Jim and Phil are great its a breath of fresh air it sounds so natural. Audio is amazing but with the PS3 wireless headset its even more amazing and the graphics are a upgrade from past maddens and the Infinity Engine is great to i seen some funny moments so far after the play tripping over someone and falling on there face priceless

Honest thoughts about the demo:

This game has potential but is still far from being a great game. The infinity engine definitely needs work, as more often than not, players just glitch into the ground. Mostly after plays. I literally had Patrick Willis get up after a tackle, with his feet above his head. If that makes sense. There seems to not be any fluidity to the physics at all. It is just a collision against collision when a tackle is being made. It seems all the original "old tackle" animations are still there. But now players that join in react with the momentum of the tackle. Also, the shoulder bumps seem gone for the most part after the play is over, but now it seems players trip or "nearly" trip 70% of the time if they bump into someone.

The field looks amazing. 10x better than NCAA. Though the crowd still needs an overhaul, as it looks the same as it always has. Which isn't very good, compared to games like 2k, and MLB the Show.

The presentation is average at best, but I didn't expect anything else. Why ESPN or CBS (with the commentary duo) wasn't integrated yet, is still beyond me.

The commentary is a very nice refresher for the game, even though some things that are being said, particuraly from Nance is completely opposite of what is going. He topped it off by saying the game is "One they will remember for a long time" at games end. The problem, it was a 27-7 victory for the 49ers. Also, with the addition of putting Nance and Phil graphically in the game, you would have thought they would show them more than with a 20 second pre-game intro.

The read-option seems broke, as I was able to gain 20 yards or more nearly everytime with RG3. This on All-Pro level.

The menu music is getting extremely old, and it almost sounds exactly like the NCAA menu music. Though I think the beat may have been a hair different.

These are just my thoughts of the demo thus far. Overall I would give the game a 7 of 10 (demo). Hopefully the CC mode can help boost that.

They jump as high as WRs, so I don't see it as an issue. You can completely destroy them not with the new passing anyway.

Forgot to mention....

I did have a defensive pass interference call against the CPU. I caught the ball at the 4yd line though so I turned it down. That was a nice change.

I'm happy with the demo, physics engine can be buggy at times and looks awkward, but that's to be expected. It also does a lot of things well so it makes up for it. Definitely a solid first building block for future versions.

Overall after playing a few games my only complaint is that All-Pro is too easy and All-Madden is too hard. Although this can likely be fixed with sliders pretty easily. Other than that there's just a couple minor things that also show up in NCAA that might need some tweaking on the defensive side. On offense everything seems to work the way it should except Oline blocking can be spotty at times, but it's not too bad.

Amazing, Matt Flynn threw a pick on a slant while the WR's arms are still extended and hit the LB putting him off balance and slowing him down. Loving these physics.

Cant move players around pre-snap on defense? They just reset once you click off. LMAO why.
