NCAA Football 13 News Post

The release of NCAA Football 13 is only a few short weeks away. But what do we know about the game so far? The demo is out, so the short answer is “a lot.” But there are a number of things that remain uncertain that will affect whether NCAA Football 13 goes down as the best NCAA game of this console generation or as another disappointment.

Any Roster projects going on for this game when it comes out?

Well that's it. I'll say what everyone else is saying. EA!!!!! I have bought your NCAA series since it was released. U guys have always progressed. Now your going back. The reason I buy the game is to interact with Madden with draft class importing! With that gone I will not buy NCAA this year. I will stick with madden this year and see what happens. I am soooo sick of EA wanting to start new things every year and not sticking with features and modes that everyone likes. Ex. Spring game, importing players yada yada yada. Who cares about the hiesmon mode?! Stay with what the fans want! Not what some ea brainstormer comes up with!!!! The customer matters!

The old saying is "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT" still holds strong today. EA Sports missed that part in their Customer Service classes they took in college.

They may as well change the EA Sports catchphrase from "IF IT'S IN THE GAME...IT'S IN THE GAME" to "IF IT'S IN THE GAME...YOU WILL NOT GET IT IN OUR GAME"

What I would love to see is if 2k doesn't pick up the contract when EA's expires and EA gets another contract is that the community create our own football games and release them free over the internet. We can use fictional names for the teams and names on release to keep from getting sued and the community itself can rename the teams and players and redo the uniforms and all after release. We could even possibly talk Sony into helping us out by possibly getting it on the PS3 and doing sort of a MLB The Show thing to start with before we run EA out of the football business altogether. 2k has the rights to baseball, but, Sony has their own baseball game exclusive. Why not football too? Later, we could move to XBox to really polish EA off.

Yes it is my dream at the moment...But, a good one.

All i am saying is that damn mascot crap will be in there. It still shocks the crap out of me that the ps2 and xbox played better and had their features still in it without a whole lot being taken out. It is a piss poor excuse that for things to be better they have to get new consoles out. It has been six or more years on this generation of hardware that you can't produce something that is worth paying 60 dollars for and with the next generation of hardware coming out you are going to be charging more and still doing the same crap.

# 68 USFBullsFan11 @ 06/28/12 04:24 AM
Still picking up NCAA even without being able to import the draft classes to Madden, but that is the only reason I purchase madden every year. That's the whole fun of running a dynasty, you get to develop players and send them pro, jump up to madden and try to land a couple in the draft. Sorry, but it definitely is a big deal to drop that feature. EA is cutting the football community back into two separate categories when before they could get any football fan to purchase both games.

Someone remind me why I am buying this game again?

Lets see...

#1 Because its college football and you GOTTA have your 'fix'.

#2 Its the only one no other choice out there.

#3 What would it matter if you didn't buy it, just my $60 dollars missing from EAs bazzillion they make, might as well buy it anyway.

#4 It doesn't matter that they took a bunch of stuff out, crippled a lot of other things...they added the Heisman Challenge...and its college football baby(see #1)!!!

#5 And last but not least, some people on here enjoyed '12 and STILL play it...(I wonder why not just keep playing IT then?)

In the end, all the things people are QQing about could be fixed in a year or two tops IF you just wouldn't buy the game for a couple of years. But for the rest, look...a cliff!!!

Maybe because they like the new additions in 13? Imagine that...

Yup...imagine that. I like jussssst nearly rotten milk too...turns me on like chocolate and oysters! In fact I like it so much so that EVERYONE just has to like it too...imagine that. Hummm...

So, its MORE valid for those that like it and try to convince people to also like it than it is for people who don't like it and try to help people avoid it...imagine that...

Also, let me see if i understand...if you like it a little...but it only gets better a LITTLE each year...in a decade this game will finally ROCK! Now if people in politics could convince people to believe this way!

"No really, my vote doesn't count anyway...besides, its the only game in town and I kinda like some of what they are doing to us...sorta...I will just keep voting for that same guy."

And we wonder why things never REALLY change...imagine that...

I never stated or implied that every one must like the game. As far as the milk analogy, that's just an opinion on your part. I merely responded to a question raised in your post where you asked why people who like 12 don't just keep playing it instead of buying 13.

Again, I never said or implied any of that.

Why is it so hard for you to fathom that some of us actually really enjoy the game, not just a little. You seem to believe we are all just mindless drones who know the game is crap but we keep buying anyway.

Save your breath dude, when someone breaks out an analogy like that, it's best just to ignore them and let them rant without response.

I don't get this at all... milk and oysters? Whatt?

I will hopefully answer all of these.

I don't think everyone who buys this game are drones or limmings...only those that decided last December or January or pre-E3...those folks I will never be able to explain my point well enough to make a dent. I am sorry if I was a ****head, I wasn't myself this morning.

First tho...I LOVE NCAA Football...it is my dearest desire that it be the absolute best sports game out there. Every year I have bought it(exception of NCAA 10) and I always go into it HYPED and hopeful only to get crushed. I won't do that again.

And as a person who cares about his hobby, I want it to get better. As a human being that cares about others, I want to stop others from the same bad experience I've had AND help the game company in the long run. This will only strengthen the game and make it better.

I guess I will seriously just hush about it tho...there are way too many enthusiastic fans who WANT this to be THE game of the Decade. It is in my limited business experience that as long as the company is making money on a so-so product, it won't invest money in making it great. THAT is what I have been trying to bring to peoples attention. I don't want a 'gudenuff' game of football...I want a GREAT one!

As I said earlier, sorry if I came off...poorly and unfunny.

I don't see how a civil discourse is 'ranting'. All I have posted about this topic over the last few months has been asking for everyone to just simply wait and see. I can't make anyone do anything, I was only asking for a wait on the purchase and then let that be a statement. Buy it on July 16th...wait a week and read a review and what the gurus say here on OS.

But folks want the game and I am posting on a FAN site for this game, I get it but shouldn't WE want something better? It won't change as long as there is 250k preordered copies and 500k first day purchases. Look at what happened last year with the game, all the hype then broken and useless options and does anyone remember the parts they broke and wouldn't fix? Now look at how we are being treated as a community by EA again this year...they know they can kick us in the jimmy and we will still come back and ask for another.

IF you came back an read what I wrote above I hope it makes a little more sense...I was all jacked up on Mt. Dew and Redbull this morning. That obviously didn't help me make my(any) point. Sorry.

Ok, rotten milk...bad.

Chocolate and oysters are considered aphrodisiacs...good.

So I am saying drinking rotten milk turns me on and then the irony is...what chick would want to be around a fat guy with BAD rotten milk breath.

It was an ill conceived attempt at humor that was obviously in bad taste...(pun much).

I was basically saying just cause I like something doesn't mean you are gonna like it...it was a tit-4-tat attempt and intended as a 'humorous' response. And poorly done.

I find it funny how everyone seems to care about only importing draft classes. So one feature makes your decision on whether to buy the game or not? Surely other features will get you interested. The return of the phone calls? The new scouting system? Unlocking high school player's attributes? The Heisman Challenge? Why the hell does everyone care about just one feature in the game? It pisses me off!

Hey, I am like you, never really cared for Madden its all about the college game for me. But for those that want to run 6-10 years or MORE deep in their Madden Franchise before the next years game comes out, it means EVERYTHING!

They want a history for their drafted players, they really want the REAL players over the next 3-4 years in Madden but down the line a few 'fake' names pop in and that's fine cause by then they are deeply hooked into it.

I hope they do an overhaul on NCAA and do the connected careers(?) like Madden. If it is indeed reminiscent of NFL Head Coach '09 and how they did their 'scripted' drafts, wow! It would be outstanding to be able to see a 15yo kid popup on the radar, a 6'3 190lb WR and then follow him, invite him to your summer camps and watch him turn into a 6'6 220lb SR in HS who THEN decides to commit to go to Mizzou! WHAT?

Passion and depth in recruiting and whatnot would go through the roof with a system like that.

So are all of the school's program pitches dynamic? Or are only certain ones dynamic?
