NCAA Football 13 News Post

The release of NCAA Football 13 is only a few short weeks away. But what do we know about the game so far? The demo is out, so the short answer is “a lot.” But there are a number of things that remain uncertain that will affect whether NCAA Football 13 goes down as the best NCAA game of this console generation or as another disappointment.

I agree with all of that, draft classes were a huge thing to make NCAA dynasty, and Madden franchise feel like the total package. Hell, in NCAA, I would try and convince players to stay, not because I wanted them to, but so I had an accurate draft class.

I'm well aware of what the lame attempt intended to to but the problem is that only makes sense if there was the possibility that no none would miss it. With it being such a huge feature for well over a decade there is no need to ask that question for debate purposes when the answer is obviously yes people (lots of them) will miss it

That's like saying" You've lost your leg in an accident, we all know that, but the question is will you miss it". You can say thats an extreme comparison but the fact is they are similar in that the answer is so overwhelmingly obvious that there was no need to pose the question to begin with without being a troll.

If you can't import to Madden then I will not be purchasing. Its half the fun of Madden is building up sorry franchises. ANother reason why EA should give up the rights to College Football.
F&%K EA SPORTS... Your developers really are ******s!!!!

The importing kills Madden for me, but not as much NCAA. I did enjoy watching my players and rival school players at the next level, but in no way does it hurt the NCAA series at all for me just makes Madden completely irrelevant

I have to agree with the comment " the developers are really *****!!!! " My question is do they ever listen to their customers. I have been importing draft classes for years. Its made me create from the top 100 scout list and see them go from incoming freshman to Madden. I realize that alot of people play online, but dam lets not screw up all of the franshise modes. Some people still enjoy taking bad teams and building them up through the draft. Its ashame the Draft class will be awful.

Also, in the Heisman Challenge as Robert Griffin III, I’m seeing a huge number of interceptions. If the game finds “balance” by having human-controlled quarterbacks complete 20 of 25 passes with four interceptions, nobody’s going to be happy with that either. The early reviews will give some indications of how the new passing system works, but I suspect it will take a month or so before everyone has had time to adjust and can make a reasoned judgment about whether the new passing system is a net positive.
Finally someone points this out. IT was ridiculous. Every Heisman Challenge demo game the CPU would score 45+ points on me, I always got 3+ picks, and I always threw for 400+ yards.

In my experience here, if something hasn't been specifically addressed or answered by now, it's not getting fixed/added/edited.

That's how it works.

... still havent heard ANYTHING about Teambuilder...

Recruiting/Dynasty changes are ALWAYS the big wild card between the demo and the launch of the game - you just don't know if it's going to be dramatically different. I guess I don't hate the way it was in NCAA 12, I just want it to evolve. And the article was dead-on in terms of improving scouting and finding diamonds in the rough.

As for gameplay, we've basically already seen it, and it will be 95 percent the same. The passing logic sounds cool but too many INTs is a new problem...

What I don't know is; how much time I will put into this game. What I do know is; it won't be past Madden release date.

I see everyone complaining about importing draft classes. I guess I'm just a casual gamer, cause even if you could, I would only play this game for probably a month or two.

I usually end up picking up ncaa just to import draft classes to madden, I do it once and then see how "off" the players are i.e overalls too high/low, not in the draft etc. then I get frustrated and just give up on importing and play my Dynasty.

In other words its not a deal breaker for me, I will enjoy the game for what it is and if the replay value runs out for me personally then it will be taken to a gamestop.

I do agree with those who are not happy about popular features being removed from games and I do think it will hurt NCAA's overall sales but not by such a drastic number that some think it will.

Anyone know if you can use edited rosters in RTG this year?

# 34 BA2929 @ 06/25/12 07:50 PM
I've thrown 1 interception in 10 games on the demo. User error doesn't mean something is a problem or broken.

Don't plan on it now. You'll probably get the new high school stadiums added and that's it. Sucks, but at least they didn't get rid of it completely. *Bright side*

"Bryan Wiedey@pastapadre
@jdewiel Hey, when can we expect NCAA 13's Teambuilder to roll out? And should we be expecting upgrades?

Justin Dewiel@JDewiel
@pastapadre I should know for sure tomorrow. Will let everyone know ASAP."

If it doesnt come out before the game, I might not touch it at all.

I hope they make a option to allow playoffs.

Dont believe they're allowed to.

I just wish EA would put out a list every year of what didn't make it into the game, a brief reason why, and where those items are on the list of priorities for the future.
