The "NFL 2K13" project includes:

If you can't download from the above link, try here or here.

1) Season mode files featuring all 32 NFL teams. There is one file for each NFL team, usable in season mode only.

2) A selection of head-to-head files featuring eight NFL teams per pack. Each head-to-head file pack includes eight NFL teams for use in local exhibition mode.

These files are for offline use only and will not work online.

Only the Xbox 360 version of All Pro Football 2K8 is supported. A PlayStation 3 version of the mod is not possible due to Sony's current file encryption system.

If you are referring to changing the User-Control team's playbooks, then I follow what you mean.
I was wondering if you've looked into switching some 3-4 and 4-3 teams. I switched the Bears (who I believe run a 3-4 Zone Blitz playbook in the game) to the Redskins who play a Cover 2 and the game played so much more realistically. Admittedly, this took some work as I had to switch the logos, colors, and rosters (and they still don't have the right names).

A lot of times when APF 2K8 freezes in the middle of gameplay it's because of players with certain names.

When a player with one of the "freeze names" takes the field for the first time, the game locks up.

It wouldn't surprise if the Titans had a player on their roster whose name is responsible for freezing the game.

A quick question though, is there a way to edit the uniforms through hex? Wanted to change the 49ers socks from the striped ones they wear in the game that are from the 80's uniforms and switch them to the long red ones with the small white part on the ankle they wear today. Is this doable through hex?
You need to create the uniforms you want inside APF 2K8 on a separate roster file. Then copy that uniform data via a hex editing program.

Then boot the RateSports file up in a hex editor and paste your desired uniform data over what exists in the RateSports file.

Are there any sliders anyone can recommend for this roster?

I don't really give a rip about accurate rosters, so I play 2k5 on the original xbox. I think it's a much better game than Madden 12 or 2k8.
Yeah, thats what I do with all sports games. The newest title I have is nhl 11, and I got that two weeks ago! I was in 2013 in 2k5, until someone stole my original xbox with 2k5 inside it! I wonder how far they took my squad? I had a top notch recieving core with steve smith and some draft picks. I miss competing with that squad. I started my mlb and nhl francises to keep me occupied. 2k8 that is. Not sure why I like the 2k8 versions over the newer ones. That reminds me, did they ever put check swings and errors back in mlb after 2k10? Asking the wrong guys maybe.

Would love to learn how to get and use the hex editor. I'm a sucker for historic rosters and would love to be able to create my own 8 team head to head file of 2000 teams.

Is it possible to learn how to do all this by any chance?

Is there a reason Rashard Mendenhall isn't on the steelers roster on the game? At lead not in version 1. Not sure about 2 yet. Also, thank you so much for this. I go on and on all the time to everyone I know how great this game is and to have an entire league and roster of nfl teams and players is just amazing for me. I tried to really love back breaker because of the teams and logos but in the end with a lack of a real chance to have a running game, I couldn't do it. This is right up my alley and I am loving it.

The biggest problem you run into trying to create a ton of teams and players is that the names database is constantly getting messed up by the addition of each new player.

I never figured out how to get around that issue, so maybe RateSports can answer.

Great rosters!

Just a quick couple of minor things from the Bills Season file for anyone who cares about perfect rosters...

1. Vince Young is white.
2. There is a guy on the Bills Roster with no last name and I think it turns into a weird last name with a hyphen inserted in the middle.

Game is great with these rosters.

I'm having an issue with resigning and rehashing an edit to the roster. Every time I think I did it right, I load it up and the game says it cannot load my roster. Is there any way to easily explain it for me? I usually am really good with picking this stuff up but this has me stuck.

Just got the game shipped via UPS (Couldn't find a Gamestop near me). Thank you so much RateSports for dedicating a ton of time for this project.

Really enjoying my Bears season right now, this game (while it has its issues) is just plain fun to play.

By the way Ratesports:
Winston Venable was waived from the Bears on May 3, 2012.

Just a heads up if you are going to make changes to rosters.

if you edit the players before you put the roster file on your system then it won't reset all the players?

Been playing this couple days, great mod, really appreciate the work that went into it. Just a note for future edits, on the Browns season I noticed a few things:

-RB Trent Richardson should be #33 instead of #42
-#3 should be Brandon Weeden, not Andy Dalton
-Greg Little is #15, not 18
-There shouldn't be a logo on the helmet

EDIT: Ok, seems like more than a few numbers are off, it seems like there's some overlap with the Bengals roster or something going on since there are several Cincinnati linemen on the Browns roster and alot of the numbers seem to be carrying over as well even though the names are correct.

Fantastic work on this though, hope everyone's enjoying it as much as I am.

Is there a way for us to edit the players sizes? I think most of the players are too "thinned out".

You can use FlyingFinn's PC editor to change any player's body type and muscle tone.

I went back into my Chiefs file with Finn's editor...this time, knowing what most of the unknown attributes are and referrencing the combine drill/attribute chart somebody posted a few pages back.. After a bunch of trial and error, I think I've found a sweet spot. I watch CPU vs CPU as a guage to see what needs to be tweaked and I've been impressed so far with what I've seen using All-Pro sliders on normal gamespeed. Mines is a Chiefs file. If anybody's interested in trying it, let me know....
