The "NFL 2K13" project includes:

If you can't download from the above link, try here or here.

1) Season mode files featuring all 32 NFL teams. There is one file for each NFL team, usable in season mode only.

2) A selection of head-to-head files featuring eight NFL teams per pack. Each head-to-head file pack includes eight NFL teams for use in local exhibition mode.

These files are for offline use only and will not work online.

Only the Xbox 360 version of All Pro Football 2K8 is supported. A PlayStation 3 version of the mod is not possible due to Sony's current file encryption system.

I read on the site that if you attempted to edit the code/player ratings....everything would reset and many star players would revert back to the ratings for the original generic players ...that would explain a lot. I I havent edited or attmpted to a thing on my Chiefs file and so far...the players that should be standing out do stand out and play at a different speed. They're also true to their real-life tendencies

That's all that matters. How the players play. Ratings don't mean much to me as long as the players who should stand out, do.

As long as DeSean Jackson has blazing speed compared to most of the players on the field, or as long as Adrian hits a hole better than MOST RBs, it is fine.

Can't wait to try these out though, I'm excited.

The gameplay was great on this game.

until that day comes, this mod is a godsend. even if you're a madden guy this is somethin cool to tide you over. the base game - all pro 2k8 - is only 3 bucks at gamestop. throw in this mod and you've basically got a '13 nfl game for 3 bucks...minus any rightful donations to the author of this mod.

You have any idea how said it is that this game looks and plays better than Madden 12 and it was released in 2007?

It's disgusting really.

Welp, looks like I'm dusting this off.

You can argue over animations but I think the details in the player models in Madden along with the lighting are far better than 2K8. Line play is still better in 2k going back to 2K4.

If you guys want to change any of the player ratings, just open up the roster file in FlyingFinn's PC editor program.

Keep in mind that abilities add extra points to a player's ratings that you can't see in the editor.

yeah i'd take madden's player models/graphics.....everything else, however, 2k8. There's just a "suddeness" and explosiveness to 2k's animations and interaction that you cant find anywhere else. Just gives you that true football feel when the game's in motion ..so much so that you forget about the player models bein a little dated

Madden's graphics look arcadie to me.

As far as gameplay wise 2K8 offers so much more strategically though it's unfair.

# 32 jyoung @ 05/31/12 01:25 PM
Unfortunately, you can't edit player names in FlyingFinns PC editor.

It is only for adjusting player ratings, abilities, equipment, play-by-play names, skin tone, body type, etc.

FYI, updated with new links. It seems the bandwidth was reached on the other link.

Very nice animations. I feel like cranking it up in my PS3 actually. I remember hom much fun I had with it. Yea, doesnt look as good as EA's games, but in the end, the funfactor is amazing. Dream to see 2K licensed again.

I love the graphics, and just amazing replication of the NFL great work. Just sad that this is the closet thing to a realistic NFL game.

# 36 bluestar @ 05/31/12 03:27 PM
I wish that something would work for the PS3. there is just something that 2k does that makes its games better than EA.

I toyed around with Finn's editor just out of curiosity and for fun. It opens up a can of worms as I expected. All the players ratings are reset (except for a few) and you get some ugly stuff on the field in terms of player performance and statistical production. I went back and put an untampered-with file back in and the difference is night and day. The out-of-the-box gameplay is outstanding.

From here on out I'll just do as I originally intended: any equipment, jersey #, or ability changes - I'll simply suggest them to the author over at ratesports. im not goin under the hood on this file again. lol

Has anyone captured any media from NFL 2k13/APF???

Just wanted to see the game in motion (I know there are full gameplay clips on Youtube) until I get my game...Had to order it online because Gamestop didn't have it.

# 39 jagsrock95 @ 05/31/12 05:44 PM
The game does play fantastic, and in my opinion the rating are just fine, 2k's player abilities really help flesh out the players, it's amazing how much they actually play like their nfl counter parts for a unlicenced game. They really did a great job. this will definitely hold me over till madden 13( or longer if madden 13 ends up laying an egg)
