I have already pre order the game because of the amazon deal. I think it's the right price for the game! my feelings after seeing this video is that it will be better than 12 but not game changing better. I still have hope that this is just a early build that they are showing to keep the good stuff under wraps until E3. I think Madden will be the better than the 2 this year by far. I know people have been killing the commentary in this video but i still have hope for that because of the sight and sound video they did.

if you go back and watch they are doing a new system so maybe they haven't put it in for these videos that they are showing us now and what will be the finish product at E3. They only thing that makes me have low hope is that they list the new commentary system at the very bottom they say it is year one for a multi year contextual implementation. I will keep my pro order because it is the right price but not really blown away like have been for madden 13

The one good thing I can say about that video, is that the best thing about it is the things we don't see. For example, no super linebackers. I'll give this game a chance with the demo, because I get the feeling that much like The Show, the changes may be more apparent while actually playing the game.

We'll see, but right now, EA isn't exactly blowing my mind.

I pray to the football gods that this is the year sales for ncaa football flop like manu ginobli taking a charge. They have abused the customer base for WAY too long.

I mean what did you guys expect? A drastic change in the game. I didnt.

Anyways, was that the 2-bar Revo speed that #85 was wearing?
I can tell you that I expected the commentary and sounds of the game to be a hell of a lot better than they were. I can tell you I didn't expect to hear 20 second gaps in commentary. Espeically after EA has been tooting the horn about how they have redone them and enhanced the gameday atmosphere.

This video is pathetic.

College football is my favorite sport and i feel he has single handedly ruined my gaming experience for the last 4-5 years now. Thats how frustrated i am with this crew currently working on the ncaa football series. This video of NCAA 13 looks exactly like 12. The crowd did look a little better but that was it. This is what i noticed....

Crowd is still quiet: USC Oregon is a rivalry game. Once USC got inside the redzone the crowd shouldve been rockin. On that corner route, we should be hearing the anticipation of the home fans waiting for the reciever to come down with the ball.

Passing trajectories: really? Where were they? Everything was a bullet. Lets go back to that TD pass. Matt Barkley wouldve led the reciever, lofting the ball to the corner away from the defender. Last year i could do this by holding the left trigger even though, EA brass claimed this was a placebo. L2 allowed good qbs to "drop it in the bucket" and triggered more aggressive catch animations from wrs. Not to mention, on that TD, the DB didnt even make a play for the ball, even though he was in zone coverage facing toward the QB the whole time. What happened to the read-n-react system? Could he at least make an effort EA? Put his hands up perhaps in a failed attepmt to swat at the ball. Is that asking too much?

Still no double team blocking: im tired of watching the center stand there by his lonesome not even sticking a hand out to aide the left or right guard who is engaged with a defender. What the ****? This is basic football. If your on the oline, i dont care if the defense rushes 3 guys, every lineman should be engaged with a defender at some point on every play. Weve been asking for this for years now.

I like the in game studio updates and i like the changes they said they made to dynasty mode (if they work as intended) but this gameplay is garbage (*sigh* again). Weve been playing the same crap game for 3 years now and i for one am tired of it. I dont produce video games but for someone who grew up with a football in his crib, comes from a football family, and played WR in college i know football when i see it; this isnt it. This is the same recycled BS as last year. Looks like ill be playing Ncaa 07 for another year. At least things make sense in that game. Players dont skate around and DBs react to the ball in the air.

Really? Mild mannered? Punch in the face? Over a video game?

Really?

Because its cheaper to not have to hire more developers to update it. Makes me sick, but, its what happens when there is no incentive to innovate.

I am still having a really good time with NCAA 12. So I am looking forward to this game as it looks more polished, has a better presentation package, and I am looking forward to seeing how the new passing system feels and plays. Also the scouting on recruiting should be pretty cool.

For 44.99 I am going to like this game for sure.

I'm amazed my posts a few pages back about the blatantly glitched out AI defense didn't get more attention. You didn't see super linebackers because the linebackers weren't in position on any of the plays. There was no read and there was no react. There were two instances the LB's did what they should have, the play where the LB dropped the INT, he ran with the receiver/TE through his zone and defended the play. The other was away from the play where a nickel DB pressed a slot WR before backpedaling into zone.

The rest of the time, it was a crap shoot on where the defensive players were going. It reminded me of the years when hook zones were broken and they essentially left the middle of the field open.

I wish I had the ability to break it down screen by screen but when I pause, the play button blocks the screen.

*sigh* This is my fault, but really? Does everything have to be taken literally on here? No, i wouldnt actually resort to physical violence over something i dont have to buy. I was merely trying to show how frustrated i was after watching that embarrassing video. Poor choice of words on my part considering my audience doesnt actually know me. Point taken sir....

My opinions on NCAA 13 and EA/NCAA in General:

• Someone will always complain about CPU players not acting like they real world counterparts (psychic defensive backs, super linebackers, etc.) regardless of what EA gives us ever year. Go back and read the reviews and play the games of the “Golden Age” of NCAA Football, that being (in my opinion) from 2003-06. I loved 2004 and DB play (due to it being to easy to too many receivers getting open) was terrible in that game, and according to several reviews, I was not alone here. So what did EA do in 2005, they created the psychic defensive backs. In 06, my favorite game of the PS2 era, brought forth super linebackers. These are the same so-called problems that we have seen for almost a decade and we act like this stuff has never happened until the past few years. There were lots of things messed up in the “Golden Age” on yet we act like those games set the standard for NCAA Football which is not fair for the current gen-series. The video here is no different that those classic games regarding how players act and react on the field so stop complaining about it. You will always find something wrong with it so why complain?

• Regarding commentary/studio updates/and anything regarding sounds and visuals. Don’t complain about “dead air time”. Again go back and play 03-06. Dead air in abundance. Studio updates and bottom line tickers are awesome features this year and you know it. It just brings more immersion to your dynasty and the game in general. Are you that tore up that Reece Davis doesn’t sound perfect? Just be thrilled that it is finally in the game. Trust me, you will enjoy Dynasty mode more with studio updates and the ticker alone.

• Another thing regarding visuals: stop complaining about the game only having 35 helmets, not enough length in the socks, “wrong” facemasks, etc. You can not tell the difference between all of that stuff when you are actually playing the game. If you are that tore up over why EA went with Haynes underwear instead of Fruit of the Loom for the players to wear then there is no way to please you as a gamer. (joking about the underwear but I think I proved my point

• If you are not excited about the removal of “Roulette Recruiting” alone than no one can please you as a gamer. This alone is enough reason to get really excited about Dynasty mode this year. And I did not even mention the new scouting feature.

• After reading on the Gaming Tailgate about how they tweaked the Spread Option (you know what I am talking about) this will complete change the way we play NCAA Football. I have a good feeling that the Spread Option will effective. Just don’t complain about a certain aspect of gameplay being too effective.

• BOTTOM LINE: Stop requesting a complete overhaul of every single thing in the game. There were no major overhauls in the “Golden Age” games yet everybody treats them as “perfection”. You are putting EA in a no win situation with that mentality and expectation.

Kinda figured. Was just getting a pulse check.

I can understand the frustration with this gen not advancing far above last. But IMO it has advanced on certain fronts. I enjoy the game. It's not the best sports game...but far from bad.

This is bull. One, the "customer base" shares the blame for continually buying the stale product in front of them. Two, there is no reason to hire more developers, the NCAA team is a pretty decent sized team compared to another group. They are more than capable of adding variety to features, especially considering they've done it in the past.

And three - they KNOW this stuff. That's the biggest problem. There is no desire to correct it. At all. It's almost as if we should be happy we get anything at all. Minor changes here and there, year after year.... c'est la vie with NCAA football.

I wish they would stop looking for the "next big thing" like they did with Teambuilder if they aren't going flesh things out.... ever...

The reason people talk about 06 so much was because the development team introduced so many new features that were *gasp* well implemented. In season recruiting, impact players (a little over done), special teams trickeration, decrease in suction allowed for more wide open gameplay in terms of navigating thru traffic to break a big play, and the player models and stadiums got an upgrade as well. 05 and 06 were two completely different games. In my opinion 07 was better because of the increase in the variety of the recruits, formation specific audibles, and the fact that they brought the mini juke back that was mysteriously taken out of 06. It felt like football tho. I could counter blitzes by changing protections at the line. I could play to my qbs strengths and players felt different.

I saw your posts. I just wanted to hope they didn't ruin pass coverage.
This was my fear when they first talked about read and react. As much as I hate how the defense reacts to passes in '12, I realized that without eyes in the back of their head or super linebackers, there would be NO pass defense.

What do mean in terms of variety of recruits and I don't remember formation audibles in 07. How did you like the new return camera in that game. You got me interested in playing 07 again lol. I played so much of 06 that I never really played a whole lot of 07. If I remember correctly the only thing I didn't like about 07 was the CPU defense would call Dime alot when I was in the I or something similar and vice versa when I was in 4-wide and they would run a 4-3. Did you notice the same thing? Thanks.

Trust me, I can give you a laundry list of things I did not like about NCAA 12, but since actually gameplay is what makes or breaks a game for me I did not find too much wrong with the gameplay itself. I have just come to the conclusion to not expect perfection with any NCAA Football game. Can EA do better? Uh yeah. It just seems that nobody is happy about anything with the series anymore. My guess is that the hardest thing to change in a sports game is the physics part of it which is why you see most series look and feels roughly the same over a long period of time.
