Another MLB 12 The Show game update arrived this morning, bring it up to version 1.16. Check below for the details and let us know what you are seeing.
  • Schedules and box score were misaligned for a portion of the games for certain teams.
  • Occasionally when loading into online games, an empty field (home plate view) would be shown and user has to PS button out.
  • Analog bunting interface, versus a behind the pitcher view in online games would cause a frequent freeze when the user on offense bunted.

I understand the frustration with the Franchise/RTTS freezes and stuff......but it's not the end of the world to either simulate or start over. I just spent about 6 hours doing off-season stuff 3 times because the game crashed during the rule 5 draft.........to which I just decided to simulate the rule 5 draft.....no problems.

The biggest reason the 1.06 patch came was because some decided you "couldn't live without" accurate 1pm games on the schedule. Sorry, I'd rather have wrong start times than a franchise 50 games in that freezes because SCEA finally bowed to public pressure. That was a minority issue that has now become a majority issue. The Show haters were loud enough to drown-out everyone else in this case.

Was debating buying a PS3 and The Show so I can play with my Nats, but no chance after reading the comments on this game-breaking patch. Maybe after they fix this mess...

The 1pm stuff had nothing to do with the freeze actually. The freezes were because SCEA decided to update the schedule itself. Real life MLB changed the dates of some of the games, ie: the games between the A's and Mariners played in Japan, bla bla bla... Changing the dates of games already played is where the issue came up.

Ok, I transferred my cloud save from my vita back to the ps3, checked box scores, schedules, stats, etc... Everything so far has worked. I even simmed the season, I started on the ps3 played on the vita and transferred back, and every one who belonged in the playoffs were there. No abnormalities.

So I say guys... Start new.

Hopefully this continues as I haven't played a game on the ps3 yet, that status will come later tonight.

Matt, thanks for checking this out. Hope your PS3 game goes well.

Can you do me (and others) a favor: when you upload the Cloud Save, run all the tests that you did on the Vita and see how it plays out?

If I started a franchise post patch 1.06, you think I OK to do cloud saves back in forth from Vita to PS3?

I'm really hesitant to start my franchise now.

What the decimal thing with league leaders in the scroll during games?

No not yet.

What other stat issues are you seeing?

I can only speak for myself. I have seen nothing to get bent out of shape about.

The game is a total blast to play. Then again I really enjoy NCAA 12 so what the hell do I know.

Speaking of TSN. It seems the complaint thread about the issues 1.16 brought was deleted. If it wasn't, I can't find it and it shows me has having no posts. I posted three times in that thread.

I'm also near the end of April with no freezes. Have a RTTS in progress haven't played much with no freezes. The only problems I experienced in both are in the Box scores. RTTS I pitched 2/3 of an inning it said I threw 79 pitches. The 3 batters that walked in franchise showed that they batted 15 times. The 0/15 did not transfer to season stats. So no big deal.

Hard to say, kt-od. I started everything new, post 1.16. The times are still wrong on the vita, but there are no freezes at all.

DJ, right after I sent my save from the vita to the cloud, I simmed a season, knowing I could just load it back up if anything went a rye, everything looked perfectly fine at the end if the season. Playoffs, stats, etc...

FYI bro.

So far so good. Still fingers crossed as I'm quite cautious, but very happy as if right now.

I said it already but so everyone sees, I've gotten no freezes also. I even intentionally tried to make my game freeze by opening up box scores and viewing schedules and stuff... nothing. Keep in mind my game was freezing after 1.06, but even after repeating the actions of 2 weeks ago. I can't make it freeze to save my life.

I'm starting over anyway though... not because of the patch, but because there are just too many players my real life team (Rays) acquired that I have no access to, so I'm just going to bite the bullet and get the latest OSFM and start over.

From what I know there are some freezing issues with Road to the show and not with franchise or season. Also, if you start a franchise after the patch you are in the clear. Not trying to sell the PS3 to you but the ps3 offers a lot more than the show (ie. uncharted, vita integration, resistance, and a great blu ray ). Bottom line, the show is a great game and worth getting a ps3 for in my mind if you hav the budget.

You wil be fine if you haven't started a franchise or season or RTTS yet. You are missing out on a great game. My .02.

I wish someone would explain this NCAA 12 business to me. I keep seeing references to NCAA patches and the game in general, but I've never played it or even heard anything about it, so I'm lost...

Just know it was a major fiasco. FUBAR. Their patches would consistently fix 1 thing, and break 6 others.

Hmm, sounds like Russell was doing some type of work after all.
Im sure glad he logged in to TSN and saw there was a patch issued Sat AM.
Otherwise he wouldnt have known!
Im even further pleased that the thread was deleted rather than commented on or explained.

There's a stickied thread for patch discussion at the top of the page, they probably just want all the patch talk there instead of cluttering the forum (and there's plenty of people venting their issues with the patch in that thread)

You mean there's a reasonable explanation for something that doesn't involve a conspiracy or malicious intent??? That's preposterous!!

Anyone having issues with created pitchers windups being changed? I'm using OSFM Opening Day Rosters and I just booted up the game today after about a week of not playing and all of the sudden Yankees RHP David Phelps' windup is all out of whack...completely different from what was used before...as of now he has a bent over panting from the stretch with a violent follow-through, which was NOTHING like it was before.
