Operation Sports Full Minors 2012 Roster - Opening Day Edition Available Now

First of all I wanna thank everyone who had a hand in this set that Knight has thanked before. Its been an honor to work with such a great set of editors. Also thanks to OS, in my opinion the greatest message board and sports gaming site on the web..bar none. Knight would have put this post up tonight had he not had an illness but lets be real... without him this set would not be possible...so cheers to you M.K!

Ok so whats included...

-corrections from ST version
-MLB lineups/rotations should be accurate as of opening day
-AAA lineups rotations as close as possible..minors cant be perfect due to lower level prospects
-transactions up to today
-updated transactions
-we tried to get as many requests from you guys in as possible

-AAA and AA more accurate including career minor leaguers with mlb service time given service time..so no promotions and then rookie status
-tons of fixes to the original OD set
- transactions accurate to current day
- ratings tweaks to any Low rated scea player..no big stars most are low depth chart guys rated way off
- SCEA caps imported from roster updates only if a decent version...some appearances then tweaked (Darvish, Cespedes etc)
-25 man rosters
- remember this roster will be missing a chunk of the lower level prospects in order to add the AAA and AA guys

This is mainly for guys who like playing with accurate minor leagues

Knight, Just wondering if the player pack is going to be released in the player vault or a whole new roster? Any way thanks again for everyone's hard work again this year! You make this game the best sports game!

I've never tried these rosters before. I'll attempt it tonight. If I just download this 40 man roster, make adjustments before I start my franchise, sim spring training, and only control 1 team, how many problems will I encounter? I don't want to control 30 teams in a franchise. With injuries and notifications, it takes long enough with 1 team. I just want to play a franchise with 1 team and have the most accurate rosters as possible for every team without having to do so much work that I can't enjoy the actual game. Is this the way to go?

I used hustlinowl 25 man roster for franchise. I think only thing you have to do is add 15 players to each team to equal up to be 40 man roster before spring training. Some teams don't have 40 man rosters. So I think the teams that don't have the full 40 man roster the computer will call up the extra player or two to be 40. Mlbdephtcharts.com is a good reference to go by for the 40 man rosters.

how exactly do you claim a player on waivers during a franchise i haven't been able to figure that out when i DFA someone and then try to get the team that claims them i can't figure that out

I don't mean to be that guy but I've tried reading several threads to figure out which roster to download. There seem to be so many links and so many updates.

Can someone link me to a roster that has the full minors and the updated batting stances and pitching repertoires?

I saw a link for just the Full Minors but didn't have the stances.

I need a link b/c I put it from my computer to PS3 via thumb drive.

Is there any way possible we can get a better Jordan Schafer with his correct stats and service time on the roster instead of the one that is already on the game? I downloaded one last year from the vault that looked much better than the SCEA one. It appears that the SCEA one this year is the same as last year and he just doesn't look right at all. Thanks.

He linked you to the rosters that are updates of the OSFM Opening Day roster. The first update will have equipment/stances fixed while the second one will have the pitching edits completed.

It's obviously because you said, "I'm curious too. Waiting on starting a franchise. If a new update isn't due soon, may go ahead and start one." I posted those links to show that there are more updates in the works with equipment, stances, deliveries, pitch edits and possibly some other various changes and tweaks that were not implemented into this set. For some reason, a decent amount of the changes that some people made to minor league players were not included.

Man, I finally looked over the entire roster and I am really disappointed by the number of A potentials handed out. I counted 61, and if you include the guys who made their major league debut last year but still have rookie eligibility then it becomes 72. I thought the general consensus was that too many A's would break free agency and trading, and to be conservative when handing out A grades? All 72 of these players will turn into A overalls, and when you factor in the existing A's, every MLB team will have roughly half of its roster comprised of all-stars. Next year can we please have a hard cap for the number of A's distributed, maybe around 40-50? Teams should be lucky to have 2 or 3 A prospects, having 5 or 6 is ridiculous.

As far as official OSFM releases go, that's correct.
