First of all I wanna thank everyone who had a hand in this set that Knight has thanked before. Its been an honor to work with such a great set of editors. Also thanks to OS, in my opinion the greatest message board and sports gaming site on the web..bar none. Knight would have put this post up tonight had he not had an illness but lets be real... without him this set would not be possible...so cheers to you M.K!

Ok so whats included...

-corrections from ST version
-MLB lineups/rotations should be accurate as of opening day
-AAA lineups rotations as close as possible..minors cant be perfect due to lower level prospects
-transactions up to today
-updated transactions
-we tried to get as many requests from you guys in as possible

Again thanks to everyone and Enjoy!

Vault under PSN Ridindwnkingsley OSFM Opening day25 man roster version (Hustlinowl) http://www.sendspace.com/file/hpb5vu

V1.5 Also in the vault
http://www.sendspace.com/file/7ty9a4
-AAA and AA more accurate including career minor leaguers with mlb service time given service time..so no promotions and then rookie status
-tons of fixes to the original OD set
- transactions accurate to current day
- ratings tweaks to any Low rated scea player..no big stars most are low depth chart guys rated way off
- SCEA caps imported from roster updates only if a decent version...some appearances then tweaked (Darvish, Cespedes etc)
-25 man rosters
- remember this roster will be missing a chunk of the lower level prospects in order to add the AAA and AA guys

This is mainly for guys who like playing with accurate minor leagues

So which rosters in the vault are based off the OSFM ones and are the most up to date? I'm thinking of starting a new franchise with fantasy draft and want all the updates on prospects and such that I can get.

Probably the latest one posted in the Roster Vault by RidinDwnKingsley (or something similar to that name if you sort by the authors PSN name)

I am looking to start a new season and would like to do this with rosters that are what they were on opening day 2012, but would like to have updated ratings for the players. Is there a roster out there for me?

Thanks, Steve

Hello Everyone!
I am new to Operation Sports and my name is R.J. and this is my first post. I heard about Operation Sports from my local Game Stop who informed me on MLB 12: The Show and Knights rosters! I bought the game and downloaded the OSFM Opening Day Rosters (By the way thanks Knight and Company for all the hard work! I always wanted a roster with real minor league players names but I do understand the MLBPA Policy though!) I have browsed this forum quite a bit in the last 2 weeks to study and learn how to created my franchise and I think I finally understand on what to do so I created an Operation Sports account and I just wanted to post and have someone reply back to me if I am doing this correctly. I also want to be an avid member here on Operation Sports and to make some new gaming friends. The site looks really nice and the people seem really nice and thats the kind of gaming forum I'm interested in with nice people and people with tons of knowledge on sports gaming.

This is what I have done below:

I wanted to control all 30 teams, and have injuries occur on MLB 12: The Show and not as they are in real MLB just like coreyheartsdaughter's does.
I agree with her handicaping thoughts but like her I too can see the hype for real life injuries/and transactions.

So here is my procedure:

(I have done these already)

01. Create two Profiles- Profile #1 CPU, (Default), Profile #2 Me- R.J.)

02. On Profile #1 CPU, I have these set to manual- Injuries, Injury Management, Lineup/Rotation, 40 man roster, Free Agency, and Training, I have everything else set to auto including waivers.

03. on Profile #2 Me- R.J. I have everything set to manual

(Note: From what I've read setting things to manual just means you'll receive notification about it and can take appropriate actions if you choose such as auto fix.)

04. Load franchise mode with knight and company's rosters

05. Assign profile #1 CPU to the 29 franchises that are not mine.

06. Assign profile #2 Me- R.J. to the Chicago Cubs.

07. Made sure that I set CPU roster control on the Mode Entry Options to OFF

(This is where I am at now)

08. Play Spring Training ( I really want to do this because I need the practice.

(Here is what I have left to do)

09. The day before spring training ends I need to send down the 15 players to the minor leagues as mentioned on MLB Depth Charts, and manually injure players as mentioned on MLB Depth Charts.

10. Progress to Opening Day and set rotation and lineups as mentioned on MLB Depth Charts.

11. Save 2 franchise files.

12. Set injuries to profile #1 CPU to ON

13. Set inuries to profile #2 Me- R.J. to ON

14. Simulate games until my game is to be played.

15. Load the sliders

16. And play the game.

Is this information correct? I sure hope so! If not could someone explain what I need to do! I'll been keeping an eye on the forum so I can get started on the show! It late here about 10:24 P.M. CDT and if it gets to late I'll check on it tommorow. Thanks for reading and posting any replies. I look forward to the Show and some friendship on Operation Sports! Like I said earlier from what I have seen in 2 weeks you guys are they best!

Thanks Again!

I'm pretty sure I'm right on this as I have read all the past articles on how to create the franchise using knight and company's rosters. I spent alot of time reading on it and sort of did a dummy load on my playstation and so far everything seems okay but like I said I have not progressed past spring training so I'm not quite for sure. But if I was a betting person I would be at least 99% sure. The playoffs are going on and I own the MLB.TV Premium package on MLB and bought the Postseason.TV package as well, so I am currently watching the games I missed from a couple days ago on my iPad so I do have something to do in the mean time until I get a response. I'll keep back in touch. And thanks for responding! and it was nice to meet you!

Yes...that looks to be correct.
Sending down the 15 will keep your roster/lineups intact(just make sure there are no lineups with players on the 40 man that should be in the minors in them)
Make sure that roster management(whatever it is called) is set to manual
Having injuries on will cause injuries throughout the league and your team.
If at that point you want the CPU to handle roster moves and lineups...you must put those options to CPU.

Thank-You very much for the conformation! I really love your rosters! Thanks for taking the time to work on them and provide them to us! I plan on getting my franchise started A.S.A.P.! It will make my winter go by very fast until next spring.

OK so can anyone recommend on the roster vault what the community thinks are the best and most accurate rosters?

I want to start a new franchise and with the past few OSFM labeled ones I've downloaded never seem right. One had a few players with the wrong throwing hands.

My ideal roster is one that has the OSFM base, but then a lot of the batting stance and pitching style changes as well as equipment changes from the thread on here. Is there one like this in the vault and if so can you help me find it.

There was one with the equip edits.
If you look for mine(Knight165) or RidinDwnKingsley...those are the "true" O.S.F.M. rosters
