First of all I wanna thank everyone who had a hand in this set that Knight has thanked before. Its been an honor to work with such a great set of editors. Also thanks to OS, in my opinion the greatest message board and sports gaming site on the web..bar none. Knight would have put this post up tonight had he not had an illness but lets be real... without him this set would not be possible...so cheers to you M.K!

Ok so whats included...

-corrections from ST version
-MLB lineups/rotations should be accurate as of opening day
-AAA lineups rotations as close as possible..minors cant be perfect due to lower level prospects
-transactions up to today
-updated transactions
-we tried to get as many requests from you guys in as possible

Again thanks to everyone and Enjoy!

Vault under PSN Ridindwnkingsley OSFM Opening day25 man roster version (Hustlinowl) http://www.sendspace.com/file/hpb5vu

V1.5 Also in the vault
http://www.sendspace.com/file/7ty9a4
-AAA and AA more accurate including career minor leaguers with mlb service time given service time..so no promotions and then rookie status
-tons of fixes to the original OD set
- transactions accurate to current day
- ratings tweaks to any Low rated scea player..no big stars most are low depth chart guys rated way off
- SCEA caps imported from roster updates only if a decent version...some appearances then tweaked (Darvish, Cespedes etc)
-25 man rosters
- remember this roster will be missing a chunk of the lower level prospects in order to add the AAA and AA guys

This is mainly for guys who like playing with accurate minor leagues

I was going to wait for V2, but now I'm not sure if I should use 1.5 or 2??

Some inconsistencies with age; Felix Hernandez's birthday is April 8, but he is 25 in-game, leading me to believe SCEA goes with opening day as the cutoff date. Wily Peralta's birthday is May 8, noticed he was made 23 when he should be 22 in-game. Same thing with Jed Bradley, Francisco Lindor, and others, although Lindor's birthday is in November, so not sure how that got mixed up.

Also, I'm not sure why but in v1.5 Paxton, Steven Hensley, Luis Jimenez, Brian Moran, and Sean Henn are in A; Jimenez and Henn should be in AAA, the rest in AA. Scott Patterson is also still on the roster even though he was released during the offseason according to B-R. Furbush is also on the big club, George Sherrill is on the DL.

Not sure. All I know is that V2 is supposed to be just updated stances, motions and equipment. V1.5 is what ridin listed a page or so back. V2 isn't available yet.

Are these corrections we can do on our own? Who need to be sent down in order for Henn and Jimenez to be placed in AAA.

Can we tell which players on major league rosters got a boost in ratings, for those of us that already started a season or franchise?

With a 25 man roster set, can you do any call ups or send players down? It seems you are tied to only those 25 players, unless I'm mistaken.

Thanks.

All a 25 man roster means is that there are only 25 men on the 40 man roster. You can add up to 15 more and call up or send down as much as you want.

Thanks for the update Ridin. Just a quick question, other than the player pack added and some corrections, what is in this update that wasn't in the original opening day set? Thanks.

I've begun editing OSFM v1.5 to have proper 40 man rosters...about halfway done so far...I'll add the 40 man version to the vault when I'm done for those that want it.

Also, while I work on that can someone provide a CAP for Alex Colome of the Rays? He's on the 40 man roster, but does not exist in MLB The Show.

Second, the White Sox only list 37 players on their 40 man roster, does anyone if they really have 37 players on it or if there are 3 other players on it that the White Sox are keeping secretive?

So in order to start a franchise we would have to send the players you added back down before spring training or is it vise versa? Also are you added the players that was on the 40 man roster on open day or currently.

Well, the latest OSFM roster only has 25 man rosters, so I'm adding the other 15 players that belong on the full 40 man roster. I'm doing it based on current (today) 40 man rosters.

When you start your new franchise with any roster, you can edit who you personally want on the 40 man roster from within franchise mode. However, if you remove them from the 40 man roster, they will have to go through waivers. Therefore, I suggest personalizing the 40 man roster prior to starting your franchise.

I started trying to do this and realized how long it was going to take me and gave up (I have two kids and very little video game playing time). Thank you so much for doing this... I like having the CPU teams make decisions on their own as to what lineup/rotation/call ups and send down's in my franchise.

Tweaks, fixes and ratings adjustments on some low rated SCEA players...

Can anyone tell me the major potential changes between this and the spring training set? ( Like the B potential players and A potentials players changes. )

Just a quick note on the Braves, RP Vizcaino is out for the season so he can be placed in Single A to make room for Delgado in AAA instead of AA.

I haven't had a chance to look yet, but has the Moyer in this version been updated to look like the one in the original Opening Day set or is he the generic looking SCEA one? Thanks.
