First of all I wanna thank everyone who had a hand in this set that Knight has thanked before. Its been an honor to work with such a great set of editors. Also thanks to OS, in my opinion the greatest message board and sports gaming site on the web..bar none. Knight would have put this post up tonight had he not had an illness but lets be real... without him this set would not be possible...so cheers to you M.K!

Ok so whats included...

-corrections from ST version
-MLB lineups/rotations should be accurate as of opening day
-AAA lineups rotations as close as possible..minors cant be perfect due to lower level prospects
-transactions up to today
-updated transactions
-we tried to get as many requests from you guys in as possible

Again thanks to everyone and Enjoy!

Vault under PSN Ridindwnkingsley OSFM Opening day25 man roster version (Hustlinowl) http://www.sendspace.com/file/hpb5vu

V1.5 Also in the vault
http://www.sendspace.com/file/7ty9a4
-AAA and AA more accurate including career minor leaguers with mlb service time given service time..so no promotions and then rookie status
-tons of fixes to the original OD set
- transactions accurate to current day
- ratings tweaks to any Low rated scea player..no big stars most are low depth chart guys rated way off
- SCEA caps imported from roster updates only if a decent version...some appearances then tweaked (Darvish, Cespedes etc)
-25 man rosters
- remember this roster will be missing a chunk of the lower level prospects in order to add the AAA and AA guys

This is mainly for guys who like playing with accurate minor leagues

That was when all the pitch edits were done too, I think.

We couldn't share franchises because Sony didn't give us that option, but someone found out that if we modified our sliders and then saved the franchise, it would allow us to copy and save that person's file to our PS3s
^^^^YES!!! This post deserves a medal

A base franchise file would solve a lot of problems. Could someone who actually understands how to avoid the various stumbling blocks encountered when moving from Spring Training to the Opening Day create such a file? If the file gets stickied or added to the first post it would cut down on a lot of wasted time spent answering the same repeated questions.

And again, much thanks to Knight & Co. for all their hard work and dedication!!

After following this thread throughout the day here at work, I'm even more confused/frustrated/disappointed about the problems that those who have actually downloaded this roster are encountering. This is by far the greatest roster set out there, but it seems like there's going to have to be A LOT of work done BEFORE they will work as they are intended.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I just don't have nearly as much patience as I did when I was younger to go through the roster setups like in previous years. I did this method in '10, and it takes quite a bit of time, especially if you work a 9-5. That's why Hustlin's franchise file from last year was a godsend.

I read this thread:

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ustlinowl.html

Has anybody followed any one of the methods in the above link and got the 30-team franchise to work properly??? If so, I think it would be helpful to the rest of us to let us know which one it is, that way everybody can get their franchises going. If it's not one of these methods, then maybe somebody else can post THEIR method that worked.

Looks like it's going to be a long night getting these rosters set up....DAMMIT.

P.S. Even though it's going to be a pain to set up, these rosters ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS end up being worth it.

Totally agree with everything you just said. That's why I'm just ready to take the bulls by the horn and edit them myself because the rosters are THAT good.

What is the roster in the vault that is called "OSFM+Pitch Edits" which was released today? Is this affiliated with these rosters? Which set was used, the spring or the opening day? How extensive are the pitch edits? Thanks.

im using option #2 which is simming till the last day before the end of ST and manually sending down 15 (or more) players (that are not gunna be in the everyday lineup/bench and rotation/bullpen)...the only issue im worried about is that i sent all 15 guys down to AAA so there is an overload at that level....i finished the AL East and saved just for a precaution, simmed to Opening Day and so far so good

I'm VERY sure those are based off of the ST Roster set. It takes up to a week to do full edits as I've following this thread regarding the above mentioned roster set: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...x-rosters.html

Cool thing that I have found while simming is that different base rosters from SCEA assign team strategies differently. The 3/3 has col and pit in rebuilding mode. The one that was used for OSFM as well as the newest online roster only has pit. I see certain players retire now that didn't with the orginal roster that do now with both newer bases.

One thing that I am disappointed with is regression seems to be not as prevalent with the newer rosters. I am still testing with changes in contracts.

Great work on the rosters the stats sim very well.

By "Option #2", I assume you mean CoreyHartsDaughter's method? I just want to clarify. I know that Knight recommended using the MLB/MiLB websites to figure out which minor leaguers belong at which level. This might help with your AAA overload issue. I'm one of those people where if I'm going to invest hours and hours into something like this (which I've done in the past), it needs to be as close to perfect as humanly possible. It's definitely a daunting task to say the least....

# 192 mjsthebest @ 04/12/12 07:49 PM
Yeah option 2 seems like it would require the most work on our end (which I know pales in comparison to the amount Knight and co. have put in. I may be going with option 3 which is having the CPU do its thing and once regular season hits setting the lineu

Sorry stupid iPhone meant to say setting the lineups and rotations myself with 30 team control on.

I'm exhausted and I haven't even STARTED messing with the rosters....LOL

no i meant im using Knight's method option #2...and yeah im gunna go back to each team and send each minor league to their appropriate level....my rosters arent gunna be perfect cause i placed all currently injured players (Utley, Howard, V-Mart) in their respective team's opening day lineup cause i like an even playing field when i start my franchise

It's off the spring training set and the pitch edits are very extensive and almost every pitcher was modified
