Maybe I'm getting old, but I just don't have nearly as much patience as I did when I was younger to go through the roster setups like in previous years. I did this method in '10, and it takes quite a bit of time, especially if you work a 9-5. That's why Hustlin's franchise file from last year was a godsend.

I read this thread:

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ustlinowl.html

Has anybody followed any one of the methods in the above link and got the 30-team franchise to work properly??? If so, I think it would be helpful to the rest of us to let us know which one it is, that way everybody can get their franchises going. If it's not one of these methods, then maybe somebody else can post THEIR method that worked.

Looks like it's going to be a long night getting these rosters set up....DAMMIT.

P.S. Even though it's going to be a pain to set up, these rosters ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS end up being worth it.
im using option #2 which is simming till the last day before the end of ST and manually sending down 15 (or more) players (that are not gunna be in the everyday lineup/bench and rotation/bullpen)...the only issue im worried about is that i sent all 15 guys down to AAA so there is an overload at that level....i finished the AL East and saved just for a precaution, simmed to Opening Day and so far so good

I'm VERY sure those are based off of the ST Roster set. It takes up to a week to do full edits as I've following this thread regarding the above mentioned roster set: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...x-rosters.html

Cool thing that I have found while simming is that different base rosters from SCEA assign team strategies differently. The 3/3 has col and pit in rebuilding mode. The one that was used for OSFM as well as the newest online roster only has pit. I see certain players retire now that didn't with the orginal roster that do now with both newer bases.

One thing that I am disappointed with is regression seems to be not as prevalent with the newer rosters. I am still testing with changes in contracts.

Great work on the rosters the stats sim very well.

By "Option #2", I assume you mean CoreyHartsDaughter's method? I just want to clarify. I know that Knight recommended using the MLB/MiLB websites to figure out which minor leaguers belong at which level. This might help with your AAA overload issue. I'm one of those people where if I'm going to invest hours and hours into something like this (which I've done in the past), it needs to be as close to perfect as humanly possible. It's definitely a daunting task to say the least....

Yeah option 2 seems like it would require the most work on our end (which I know pales in comparison to the amount Knight and co. have put in. I may be going with option 3 which is having the CPU do its thing and once regular season hits setting the lineu
