This is exactly what EA is banking on ever year, consumers who will buy whatever piece of crap they serve up.

I will not tell anyone not to buy the game... I just wish more people would wait. The only way EA will ever get the message is if they see their early numbers drop (pre orders, release day purchases). Heck... just waiting one day after release to buy it would send them a message.

I'm interested and following but not going to get excited just yet. Just hope they add the little things.

That to me is what makes the Show so great. I love football and it's sad I get more excited for a baseball game. I believe they keep making steps in right direction just haven't got to that point where I crave to play the game when I am gone. I guess with the Show every time I play it I see something new in gameplay or presentation. NCAA gets a little stale but I love the sport so its my yearly fix.

Exactly. I dont really play alot of games much. I dont even like baseball but if I were to get The Show, I know I can get a game the will last a long time. I dont think I played a NCAA game outside of season many times without forcing myself to play. I do anticipate it WAY MORE than Madden. I dont get excited for Madden at all.
It is not even big things that dont give NCAA replayability, it is the small things. Lack of atmosphere,bugs/glitches, animations, OL/DL interaction and WR/DB interaction, Super LB/DB.
It does get stale. But, it is my football fix. If there was a College Basketball game, I would play it every year. What makes games like NBA 2k and The Show good and gives it replayability, is that it has good atmosphere and it focuses on little things. There are bugs in those games(especially NBA 2k). but the atmosphere and the attention to detail always keep me running back all the time.
I hope the improved commentary is more than a few new lines. I know it will most likely not be dynamic commentary, but I would be okay with them scrapping 75% of current commentary and replace it. I hope they have commentary more suited towards dynasty and not towards online and play now games.
There are couple of things that I want to know if they are gonna be improved. I want to know if special teams will be fun, will the games and players feel different from each other, will we not have to wait until a patch for a part of the game to be playable, will a patch **** the whole experience up and cause more problems, will ball carriers be more dynamic, will coaches be more impactful in games, and will I feel cheated in certain areas of the games?. Most of those things I can overlook. But if atmosphere isnt good, those other things will just add on to it and make me just want to turn it off early in the game.

Corners just standing there floating on an option play and EA does NOTHING about it (don't talk about it, don't attempt to fix it, start talking about 2013 in September of 2011) has did it for me. I will enjoy this college football season... watching the games on TV! I'll get my gaming fix playing The Show.

Problem is that evey year it seems there's some major glitch that makes the game unplayable, and doesn't get addressed for the first two months. By the time it get's fixed I'm no longer interested. Gonna skip this years, then maybe buy 13 next year...that way I can get a new game every year with all the glitches dealt with. This gen has been an absolute disaster for college football.

At this point, and it sucks that it has come to this but, there are a couple of phrases that fit my feelings towards EA:

1. Don't talk about it, be about it.
2. You can talk the talk but can you walk the walk?

While what is being talked about is great to hear, this whole process feels familiar for some reason.

I wanna get excited, I really do, but I just can't.
Back to College hoops for me.

Hope I see something good April 17th then. Will not be too long before new consoles are out, so not many more chances for the team to get it right.

I'm as big an NCAA fanatic as there is anywhere....

That being said... I won't be trying to get this game early at all. The disaster that was last year's launch has permanently scarred me.

Why should I try to get a game early when it won't be completely playable until 3 months after launch?

# 191 kingsofthevalley @ 03/20/12 10:01 AM
It all sounds great but its not going to mean much of anything if the players are still moving around the field like friggin rocket racoon. Remember the motto, Cleats not rocket skates in 2013. Stick with that phrase and everything else will fall into place. Trust me.

I love the excuse people give that talk about how hard it is to make a game and coding and all that. THAT IS THEIR JOB!

My job is tough and if I put out crap like the last few NCAAs, I'd be fired in no time.

And you would think they would be going over and beyond to try and help heal this that cut the Football Community, but business as usual with their Marketing Strategies.

Why would an "NDA" need to cover addressing issues in there last release that were clearly external issues outside the scope of their planned final product.

I wouldn't be too far off in stating that Most of the gaming community wouldn't be all butthurt if they kept their so called "New Injections" under NDA while whether they FIXED/addressed all the past non-planned issues continue to be kept under lock-n-key at Area 51.

There are enough documented/noted issues from past releases that if they did a blog a day starting tomorrow for each issue, it would probably extend out until the Release Date.

Here's a great marketing suggestion to stir up greater buzz about NCAA 13.

"Hey NCAA Gamer's, those NCAA 09, 10, 11, 12 issue noted by you guy's over the years, will/will not be in NCAA 13".
Please note that these are not part of our New Additions to NCAA 13, soon to be introduced according to previously released schedule, but is our way of showing we are committed to not having another NCAA 12 issue going forward and are intent on showing the community, rather than tell you.

Thank you for your support and patience, but get ready!!!

If you read something official like this from EA......?

The only thing about that is sometimes when one thing is fixed, adding or adjusting another can break something else. So them coming out and saying we fixed x,y,z, and them adding something breaks those, they still come off looking like liars to the consumer.

It makes me wonder if its the competition with MLB2K that makes the Show great, or that they just simply care more and are better at what they do?....

I think it's both although I really do feel that the SCEA guys take a lot of pride in what they do. Heck, the past few years the major game changes were pretty much right out of these forums.

EA please listen to this guy....

There are a lot of hardcore NCAA fans who have become fed up with the half azzz approach to fix issues with the gameplay year after year.

NCAA 12 despite all it's eye candy was a joke on the field when it came to gameplay.

Year after year the Option attack by the CPU is broken, QB Scrambling logic broken and RB open field logic broken.

Please for once focus on gameplay EA.............
