Look, they have to sell the game, and from the information that we have so far it looks to be revolutionary. It's never been done in a baseball game in the past, and it looks to have a lot of differences from any other card based mode. Heck, we don't even know what it's all going to entail, so maybe you should relax on these statements.

tonight, the exclusive preview will most likely prove that it is in fact a new experience.

maybe a pre order special would be getting a bunch of free packs or something.

Hopefully soon we can talk about this but there are a lot of twist and turns in this mode. Someone going in thinking they are going to field all MLB players is in for a rude awakening!

Somebody on this page of posts should think about getting a salt shaker and maybe some Emeril seasoning.
Words suck when you have to eat them unseasoned.
The words blah, blah, blah.....are the toughest to swallow without a little spice.

You probably need contract cards or something like that. Just taking a guess.

I think Ramone called up GT.tv and checked a few people about their TV listing...

I like how the custom team names appear in the game, haha. The day has come!

I wonder if the announcers actually pronounce those in the game.

aww, i was hoping they'd finally change that opening sequence.

I'm pleased that Challenge of the Week will now be free. I really liked it last year, but having to pay money for more than one game was just cheap. I paid $60 for my game, asking me to pay more to play a game I've already bought?

I'm half and half about the removal of 1st inning quits. You need to get into the game and play it before you can see if it's truly too laggy to play. People who would abuse this feature to get a free quit are people I wouldn't want to play 9 innings against anyways, so I'd rather they left it in than out. I could count on one hand the amount of people who quit on me in the first inning over the last couple years, but many more times when it was needed because the game was too laggy.

Diamond Dynasty: Can you play against people on your friends list, or is it randoms only?

It was only a quarter per extra play, and you had a free play every week. I don't see anything wrong about that.

I don't know if it made it in but they were going to have everyone's Ping displayed next to their name.

Well, I did. I already paid for the game, being fleeced for extra money to play it rubs me the wrong way. I think they did the right thing by making it free this year. It's a fun mode, but only having one free play pretty much ruined it.

Makes a lot of sense, I hope it did make it in there.

I agree.. I enjoyed the mode but didn't like paying for it so only played the one try about 5 times.. because i knew I would never get to the top even if I did spend $10 for coins.

I understand if only the people who pay are eligible for prizes, but I like being able to play the mode by itself.

To be fair, Banzo has a problem with just about anything that you have to pay for outside of the disc.

Times are changing fella, whether you like it or not. Micro-transactions help generate more revenue and it's pretty much the standard in any game, one way or another.

I've come to accept that DLC is now the norm. Paying for extra things they develop like maps (or classic Stadiums!) I don't have so much a problem with. But something like Challenge of the Week, which was already there on the disc? Nah. And it was one free play per *week*. Just a money grab IMO...

Also, haven't seen an answer to this: Can Diamond Dynasty be played with friends?
