For those of u that claim you have seen real double teams on hot players I would love to know how? I jus hit for 70 with Manu an saw no doubles whatsoever.

I don't know how. It just happened. Single possession though and Monta cooled down or they called timeout, forget which.
this. one of my big problems with 2k12 is the bad layup animations...when i have an open lane to the hoop my player should just go right to the rim with a smooth one-legged layup animation, but in 2k12 he often stops and plants both feet and then does some weird floater that's too far from the hoop...this exposes you and allows defenders to come in a affect the shot...even though my player could've just smoothly sailed right to the rim and got an easy layup off the glass. these "stopping two-footed floater" layup animations kill so many easy inside opportunities for me...the joy of driving to the hoop has been somewhat killed in 2k12 due to these animations. it feels like 2k wanted to make inside shots more "contested" so it seems like if there is a defender near you, the game will force you into one of these bad layup animations that forces you closer to the defender rather than just going straight to the rim.
another example - i was driving to the hoop along the right baseline...i had a wide open layup opportunity, but instead of just putting up a simple layup, my player tried to do some crazy double clutch reverse layup and continued to the other side of the rim, where defenders were waiting for him...all he had to do was a quick off-the-glass layup (there were no defenders on the right side of the rim) yet he chose a long layup animation that brought him into the defenders on the left side of the rim.
2k needs to implement some kind of "layup awareness" so that your player will do the best layup animation for the situation, depending on where the defenders are. for now, just simplifying the layup animations would be a good start - there are too many overly-long layup animations when most of the time all you need is a really quick, simple layup.
Yeah this is some I don't like!!! I call 2K12 the year of the hook shot layup.
About 70% of the shots around the basket is some sort of hook instead of a basic layup... I wish they patch it but knowing 2K they will not.
I don't know why 2K implimented the change shot button but I never use it because 2K always change my shot when I don't need them too.
i may know a partial cause for the speed issue - the garbage turbo trigger. the more i play this game the more i notice that the turbo trigger is straight broken when you are dribbling - it seems like 2k almost decided to take away the ability to control when you want to speed up with the turbo trigger...i also noticed that sometimes the game will give my player an automatic speed boost even though i'm not holding the turbo trigger. other times i will press the turbo trigger and i will see no difference in how fast my player moves. i don't know if they are trying to make running speed contextually automatic in this game and take away user control of speed or what...it seems like the game automatically controls when my player is allowed to speed up. being able to control your player's speed bursts is crucial to feeling in control - taking that control away is absurd.
so when you can't make your ball handler speed up with the turbo trigger and the game forces you into a jog, of course you won't be able to beat a defender.
in 2k11, when you hit turbo, your player moved faster - very simple. the concept of the turbo button has existed in video games for years now...but somehow in 2011, 2k cannot create a simple, working turbo button.
perhaps adding that "throw ahead" sprint animation has somehow messed with how the turbo trigger can work now...or maybe it's also tied to that damn half spin now being done by tapping the turbo trigger (a baffling control choice by 2k...why is the half-spin so crucial that it needs its own button?). at this point i think 2k is just bored and is trying out all kind of crazy control ideas just to see what happens...stick with what works, 2k. 2k11 worked and then they had to get all experimental with things.
another annoying thing about the turbo trigger is that when you press turbo, before your player can move fast, he has to do this weird foot plant that actually slows him down before he can speed up - so pressing turbo actually slows you down more than it speeds you up...a player should be able to smoothly increase his speed without some weird stopping foot plant animation.
2K should have had a seperate button for the throw ahead. This really stinks when trying to escape steal spammers in the back court and you want to get away quickly. Instead of turbo you get the throw ahead which can be dangerous and a surefire turn over in crowded areas.

Yeah, I really hate that throw ahead animation. I think they should just get rid of it.
So that's what that's supposed to be?? A "throw ahead" motion??? That is the most ridiculous and dumbest looking animation I've ever seen seriously! Why the crap did 2k decide to add that motion to begin with? Get rid of it 2k!!! That's exactly why the turbo button deal doesn't work right. Every time u hit it the player does this. And then it bounces off a players leg and there's a turnover.
Like someone already said...STICK WITH WHAT WORKS!! Can't fix something that isn't broken, 2k. Get rid of that crap and give us 2k11 controls...Only new control I lke for 2k12 is hitting triangle (or y) to start the post animation. Sports games these days are trying to create a way to do every single move to give us complete "control". I say keep it simple!
For those who are tired of seeing pump fakes in the paint: I'm considering releasing the default roster, with everyone pump fake tendency at either 5 or 0. Anyone interested? I must admit, it can get pretty annoying.
Whoever made these tendencys at 2k messed up a bit, majority of players pump fake tendency is too high. Before i release it, I'm going to test it a bit, see if i can see less pump fakes in game.

I know how you feel. Im in the process of doing that to the default rosters to. Testing it and seen less pump fakes but they will still do it regardless, but i also think the step through tendency also adds to it with the up and unders being so consistent all the time.
A question for the patch-havers:
does the patch force you to start a new Association or MyPlayer save or can you continue using your pre-patch saves ?
thanks
you can continue your association, but youll probably have to readjust sliders, if you had custom sliders.
before the path I was shooting 44%, after the patch. my last 3 games Ive shot 33%, 38%, 35%.
I wont adjust the sliders till the end of my association season. I want to make sure that this isnt just a shooting drought that my teams going through.

Thanks very much, now I'm looking forward to the patch even more
