I think the patch really helped the game. Far from perfect, especially the speed issue that remains but it made the game way more enjoyable than before.

I agree. I'm really enjoying the post patch gameplay. I'm hopeful that 2K will release one more patch to correct the double team and speed issues.
Just simed season with new patch noticed difference with home teams winning more. Like this more
real. Not sure if it same when you play games or just sim. Anybody notice difference in game play?
Jus did some testing on this no doubles issue. Put doubles for spurs on 100 in coaches profiles. When I controlled them my CPU teammates would double stars an pgs. Now when the CPU controlled the spurs an I was the lakers. They never doubled ever. So it's almost like the CPU is sayin there to good on d an dnt need to double anyone. It's definitely coded in the game for the CPU teams to nt double.
Considering the fact that I was digging the game pre-patch and now post-patch I am in "LOVE" with this game now!!!
Ok so the double-teams aren't as frequent as prior years I'm ok with that. Fastbreaks have never been an issue for me pre/post patch so no need to comment on that
Fouls seem about right and I have noticed it seems like more And/1's are being made which I like.
Does the game have issues?? Of course but personally if nothing else is done to the game I would be ok. I expect some flaws its a "VIDEO GAME" For those that can't? Hope it gets better for you or my advice would be to probably just move on and maybe sell your copy to recoup the loss and stay out of 2K threads because my guess would be that it would only feel like a slap in the face to you hearing more negative things. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way.
I do have one question I would like to ask? When calling a timeout what effect does the "Coach Settings"have by moving up/down in regards to fatigue? Thanks in advance
I'm disappointed and furious ....... SERIOUSLY 2K?..... 5 FREEZES IN A ROW IN MY PLAYER AFTER A GAME.... IT FREEZES IN THE MENU WHERE YOU CAN VIEW THE BOX SCORE/PERFORMANCE/QUIT....DAMN IT......2K.....
The "throw-ahead" animation can be annoying at times, but I'm glad it's there. If you don't know when to execute it, you aren't playing the game correctly. I get plenty of opportunities on the break and have thrown numerous oops with CP3 to Blake in the short time he's been on the Clips. You have to be able to read when to push and when not to. Sometimes, I literally take one regular dribble to compose myself then immediately push with the right trigger towards a direction where the defender has no chance of swiping me.
Gotta say this game plays like a gem online. Thank God they toned down the spin dunk/layup as that was a game breaker for me with the cheesers. 2k still has it right in that if you really know the game of basketball and truly know how to play, you have an advantage over most cheesers.
With that said, it only makes me even more disappointed in the lack of features online. Quick match becomes stale after awhile, no legend team-up games is lame, and no My Player online has made me not even care to continue to make my created player better. Only reason I loved MP so much was to take him online and I was hoping they would expand on that, not take it away.
2k could learn a thing from EA (go figure) and maybe benefit from doing something similar to the communites thing for My Player so we could take our guys online in groups where we don't have no worry about cheesers, or police ourselves from cheesers by having the ability to kick them out of the community.
I'm glad the game is improving from the debacle that was release day, but overall I still must say that I am disappointed in the direction the series went after having a chance to truly establish itself in a year without competition.
Ok I must be missing something here, first day of patch the game played wonderful, here it is a few days and a few roster updates later and my game seems to be back to it's old BS ways, especially in My Player mode, the CPU has been getting remarkably crazy amount of on-ball steals no matter who is controlling the rock, it's just flat out ridiculous...also the number of Fastbreaks are out of hand, they also seems to be back on that we can hit any and every shot on the court BS. I did not have this problem with My Player mode the first day the patch dropped but right now, it seems my system just reverted back to pre-patch with updated rosters. BTW I am playing on All-star default same as my first initial impressions...this is wacky.

Yeah I noticed that as well, so i erased the patch and downloaded it again and it worked like the first day the patch was released agan.

I noticed this as well. First day, game played beautifully. Then the next few days it was like pre-patch. Now...it's playing great again. It's definitely not placebo, it's as obvious as night and day. I've noticed that when I start up 2k12 the last few times it's kept saying 'Saving content...' on the bottom right. I wonder if that's roster updates or anything else. Not sure. Also I been playing on Allstar/Sim and I don't change the sliders at all. I feel like if you change the sliders even one bit then the game goes back to pre patch automatically. Strange.

I guess that's what happened but, I just erased the patch and reloaded it, and it still played the exact same, CPU was in OMG mode was there has been nothing I can do to stop them from having there way. I guess I should try reloading the patch again and deleting my previously saved game settings...that might bring it back to release day patch.

It should have updated itself. Delete all your rosters, turn off console, turn it back on. Make sure living roster is on
If my cousin got on his name on my Xbox and downloaded the patch, does that mean all gamertags on that Xbox have it? I haven't gotten one on my name.
Yes you should have the patch, it a game data update and since he used your Xbox anything saved to that hard drive should be available for all accounts.
